This post’s for my fellow Englishman, F*ck Bizzzzbing vs Kang, the UFC should sign British “cage fighter” and Jordan’s boyfriend of the month Alex Reid to headline 105. He is easily the most famous “cage fighter” in Britain, a hundred times more famous than Bizzzzbing, and he would pack em in at the MEN. All this talk of Lil Nog fighting there, who better to give him than the “Reidanator”. It’s win win. The UFC get a sell out and we get to see Lil Nog cave that pr!ck’s face in and watch him make human origami out of Reid on the deck. Joe Silva make it happen!

Have you read the Sun today addict, Reid’s front page for getting into a fracas with some gypsy’s at a “cage fighting” show at the weekend. On of the gypsy fighters threatened him and he apparently came out with this piece of gold “I’m not being funny, but you’ve just had your first fight and lost and I’ve fought some of the best in the world”

I thought he looked in the worst shape I’d ever seen him in for the Henderson fight – frail and skinny, possibly overtrained? Maybe why he had no power (and yes, I’m well aware he’s not the most powerful dude at the best of times!). exactly. the problem is he does not know the correct way to cut weight. when you make a slow cut over the period of an entire training camp your body pretty much ends up small. if you maintain mass and cut more at the end you can rehydrate and maintain some size. wrestlers have been doing this for years.
i blame his coaching staff, in particular his nutritionist. his frame is not to big for 185#. he is just to drawn down when he gets there.
he needs to consult with gsp, or thiago alves and learn how to cut weight the right way.

Thiago Alves is one of the worst fighters for cutting weight, he either comes in overweight or in the case of the GSP fight is so drained that he has to start rehydrating immediately. The fact that he can’t master the cut has cost Thiago dearly a few times.
Fair point on GSP though, he is mastered cutting weight and is always twice the size of his opponents at WW on fight night.

This is why I miss PRIDE, particularly the PRIDE fans. The Japanese fans respected warriors and sportsmen regardless of what country they came from. They didn’t boo and throw beer cans everytime the fight went to the ground, and they cheered for foreigners, especially the ones who beat up their Japanese national idols in the sport. I wish my fellow Americans were more like that.
I’ve never thought Bisping was worthy of the hype. But I’m embarrassed by my countrymen who talk all this trash about British people just because Bisping personally is overrated and egotistical.
