All i want from this card is for Hermes not to gas. Otherwise everything should take care of itself.

NNR; I am a big fan of Franca, but I dont see him beating Tyson “cant finish anyone” Griffin. Tyson is a very tough guy to finish. I dont see him catching Tyson in a sub…franca’s only hope is to land one of those clubbing punches of his on Tyson’s chin, or catch him with a knee, because if not…tyson will do what he usually does; out work his opponent to a decision.

We saw Dos Anjos catch him in a calf cutter so i am hoping. Standing i agree the power difference might close the gap in the technical difference between the two. I kinda suspect the UD too though. Man, Tyson has replaced Stiebling as the brazilian killer how many ATT guys is this now?

Too Many! I want to see one of my ATT boyz take him out!

is it only me that thinks Tyson Griffin may just be unsubmittable? that guy has been in some tight spots and seems to persevere and go on to win, he is like the worst nightmare for a jiu jitsu guy, he is pretty hard to rock as well, i think if this guy had power he would be unstoppable

ace will have to fight running backwards.

50/50 on the main event. Belfort by rd 1 KO or Ace by UD
Crocop by rd 1 TKO
Kampmann by rd 1 sub
Trigg (KO rd 1) and Franca (UD) with the upsets
Cole over Efrain bu UD
I don’t know why, but I think Kos is gonna want to bang and put on a show and Trigg will play the spoiler. Logic says Kos by UD or rear naked choke, but I think Twinkle Toes is gonna pull a rabbit out of his hat.

Too bad about Swick. I’m sure Randy will have Kampmann take Semtex down as he has a subpar ground game. If he decides to bang with him instead, it could prove to be a real mistake, but entertaining as hell.

I still like this card, but the Swick injury was definitely a blow. On the plus side, I’m not sure a win vaults Kampmann toward a date with GSP. Kampmann is solid, but I need to see more, a lot more actually, before he recieves any title shot.

Vitor by TKO, less than 2min.

by Skope on Sep 6, 2009 12:16 PM EDT reply actions

Unless Franklin can turn this into a clinch fight he will get KOd… Franklin stand up is very solid vs most opponents, but not Vs a faster harder puncher….It’s an 80/20 for me…80% for Vitor by KO or 20% Franklin by UD

by Riskreturngroup on Sep 6, 2009 2:16 PM EDT reply actions

sheer awesomeness how vitor is out of the ufc for so long comes back and his FIRST fight back is (main event) not just that but against top competition status..i think the ufc should have approached it differently and let him fight someone like tim creduer, kendall grove, chael sonnen, cb dollaway, mark munoz.. its funny they are giving him an A level fighter right off the bat. just goes to show what the ufc really thinks hes capable of

He ain’t The Phenom for nothin’!

by The Negation on Sep 6, 2009 6:22 PM EDT up reply actions

Did anyone see Franklin in cyborg soldier? It was a leading role but he had the role of an emotionless robot. He did have the lead role though unlike all those guys in never surrender which was full of fights and shows a lot of topless scenes. Vitor gets my vote because I wanna see him fight Anderson.

by hatteras on Sep 6, 2009 5:19 PM EDT reply actions

gotta kinda disagree with the ufcs ppv lineup especially after ufc. great card that night and for 101. to have the next two ppvs not have a single title fight and really only the couture/nog fight being some fans have really wanted is a strange call. would have figured you’d wana keep the ball rolling but i dont think this card will have a large buyrate

Where is the weigh in going to be held? AA Center? Britney Spears is preforming there on the 18th…..
