I am hearing rumors about UFC 105: Lil Nog vs. Forrest Griffin

by john G on Sep 6, 2009 10:21 AM EDT up reply actions

Wow, that’ll sure make me wanna buy a ticket….NOT!

by attakdog on Sep 6, 2009 10:36 AM EDT up reply actions

so wtf do you want? Fedor vs. Brock? some times I dont get you attackdog.

aRENT YOU ONE OF THE FOOLS THAT THINK fORREST IS A TOP FIGHTER? If so whats there to complain about? Lil Nog is freaking awesome! He is Big Nog, minus the mileage!

If that fight doesnt appeal to you, I dont know what else does, especially when you take into account that it will be both fighters UK debut, so you cant even complain about the same fighters being recycled on the UK cards.

by john G on Sep 6, 2009 10:56 AM EDT up reply actions

WTF are you on about John???? Since when have i ever said Forrest is a top fighter, the guy’s F@cking sh!t and I’ve said this many times, so stop trying to put words in my mouth to get your point across.

FTR it’s not Forrest’s UK debut as he was on the Northern Ireland card a while back.

That fight might appeal to me as a bonus fight on an already stacked card, but seeing as it’s the best fight we’ve got and the main event is Bizzzzbing vs kang, it’s pretty hard to get excited about this card.

Would you pay $200 for a half decent seat to watch this cr@p we’ve been given??? Not a chance, so excuse me if I have a winge about another rubbish UK Fight Night Card.

by attakdog on Sep 6, 2009 11:30 AM EDT up reply actions

Yeah I can complain about the same fighters being recycled again seeing as we’re getting Bizzzzbing, Hardy, Taylor, Etim, Siver and Kelly again, wouldn’t ya say?

by attakdog on Sep 6, 2009 11:34 AM EDT up reply actions

holy f*cking shit great news. lil nog is one of my favorites and seeing him fight a top contender in his first fight is amazing. nog by second round tko, griffin isnt getting lucky in spoiling this legends debut. WAR LIL NOG!!!!

by Jared on Sep 6, 2009 12:20 PM EDT up reply actions

slow down Jared. This isnt one of my *fight announcements*. We are still in the rumor stages, but like you…I would love to see this fight happen!

Attack: YOu have never seen any of these fighters fight live;

Kang, Nog, Forrest, Wilkes, Matt Brown, Ross, Stun Gun, Demarques, etim has been doing well so he will probably step up in competition and face a good opponent that you have probably never seen fight live, Dre winner is exciting…
How could you not be excited about the UK debut of Roli Delgado? hahahahahahahhahah

I just listed about 10 fighters that you have never seen fight live, and the card isnt even complete yet. To each his own, but I know that I would love to see this card live!

by john G on Sep 6, 2009 12:30 PM EDT up reply actions

John I’ve got another post for you in mod.

I have seen Kang live in Dublin and Kim at 100.

Wilkes, Brown, Delgado, Pearson, DeMarques are of absoloutely no interest to me whatsoever, nor to many others. I wouldn’t mind seeing Lil Nog, but he’s the only fighter I’d be remotely interested in seeing, but not nearly enough for me to travel 2 hours in either direction and pay £100 for a half decent seat. First British show I’ll have missed and I aint sorry one bit.

by attakdog on Sep 6, 2009 12:41 PM EDT up reply actions

Dunno why this never posted john, but basically I denied I was a Forrest fan and I absoloutely hate him and think he sucks, which I’ve said many times, dunno why you’d think I was a fan.

It’s not Forrests UK debut as he was on the Northern Ireland card a while back, was it 72??

by attakdog on Sep 6, 2009 12:44 PM EDT up reply actions

The main guys of interest to me are Nog, Stun Gun, Etim and Kang. But like attak I don’t want TUF castoffs in the UFC. I say cut them all and merge the WEC into the UFC. If you bring 15 guys from each division then you’re set. Or pick up all the beast free agents ie King Mo, Arona, etc… I say one these guys is worth 4 TUF castoffs.

No reason to have a single crap fighter on the undercard. UFC should be stacked top to bottom at this point, UFC 102 style.

by NameNotRequired on Sep 6, 2009 12:52 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree NNR

by attakdog on Sep 6, 2009 12:57 PM EDT up reply actions

Sorry aD; I stand corrected. Seems like I am the only person on earth that doesnt swing from forrest’s over rated nuts….sorry to categorize you with the rest of brainwashed uFc marketing Machine SURFS!

I appologize, i wasnt aware that you saw so many of those guys fight live. I dont blame any Brits that dont want to see the same fighters over and over again. Had I known you alreday saw so many of those fighters, I wouldnt have made that post. My bad.

I do however want to see guys like; Wilks, Matt Brown, Andre, and Ross fight live. I think those guys can be more then just your typical TUF castoff trash…but its yet to be determined!

by john G on Sep 6, 2009 12:58 PM EDT up reply actions

Forrest-Lil Nog would be a great fight and is light years ahead of Bisping-Kang as a main event. I actually quite like Forrest he makes me laugh and can put on a good show. He is the sort of fighter that Nog should face i.e. a popular top 10 LHW, as it gives Nog a name and a quality opponent. Whilst it can’t compete with Andy or Wandi fighting over here or a BJ-Diego LW title fight it would still be as good a main event as we can hope for at this point.

I don’t mind the likes of Ross, Andre and James being on this card as all 3 are good British fighters and are set to face proper opponents rather than irrelevant cans. It’s the likes of Denis Siver who should not be on any UFC PPV period and having Bisping constantly main event is frustrating, there are better fighters in this country nevermind in the UFC than Bisping.

Hardy is decent but the Stun Gun fight won’t be great Kim is far too tentative and fights like a lanky Karo, shame because with his reach and judo he could be a well rounded fighter but he hasn’t looked great since his debut.

by David W-S on Sep 6, 2009 3:02 PM EDT up reply actions

I’ve been calling for Lil Nog-Forrest ever since the Anderson fight. But i doubt they would set up Forrest for a third straight loss. But at least he’s got nowhere to run- he’ll either fight Jardine, Luiz Cane, Thiago Silva, Lil Nog or maybe Vera. I don’t think he wins any of those fights. His lucky streak is over.

by NameNotRequired on Sep 6, 2009 5:18 PM EDT up reply actions

Totally agree NNR! Forrest wont win any of those fights. It sickens me that he is thought of by so many brainwashed fools to be a top 5 LHW. What a joke! like you said, Forrest has NO WHERE to run! In addition to those opponents that would whipe the floor with him, I am just itching to see his day of reckoning against Shogun and Rampage!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forrest and Mir will be exposed in this up coming year!

by john G on Sep 6, 2009 6:48 PM EDT up reply actions

That might even be a theme for an upcoming event – The Rematch, headlined by Nog/Mir & Forest/Jardine. (Maybe even Bisping/Hamill?)

Nelson has to be the favorite on this season… great grappling, a lot of experience

by ---Caesar--- on Sep 6, 2009 10:49 AM EDT up reply actions

Fat guys can fight on The Ultimate Fighter…….sure. Fat guys cannot however, seriously contend in the HW division. As MMA continues to grow, we will see better athletes enter the sport, especially in the HW division. Guys like Nelson, no matter how skilled or experienced, will give up too much in the speed, athleticism, and conditioning departments to compete with the top guys. If Nelson wins the season, it should immediately tell us the cast was rather weak, and none of these guys will become factors in the division.

by CL on Sep 6, 2009 11:22 AM EDT up reply actions

ah bullshit! im a fat guy just like roy and at my gym we train for 7 5 minute rounds. after a while three 5 minute rounds feels like a break…fat people unite!

by tapps on Sep 6, 2009 11:31 AM EDT up reply actions

Well hell……I think you should immediately challenge Lesnar for the belt. No doubt, Vegas oddmakers would have you as a huge favorite, literally and figuratively.

by CL on Sep 6, 2009 11:37 AM EDT up reply actions

good idea. ill put the challenge up on youtube. he’s scared, im coming.

by tapps on Sep 6, 2009 11:50 AM EDT up reply actions

I would like to see how Lashly matches up with an experienced big boy like Nelson at this point in h is young career

by john G on Sep 6, 2009 12:31 PM EDT up reply actions

You should watch this fat guy clown on Frank Mir on the mats. Or hustling Arlvoski on the ground before that ridiculous standup. Essentially CL you’re saying guys only win in MMA by athleticism and speed. Am sorry but i can’t get behind that at all. Nelson has power and a good grappling game. His technical skills are considerably higher than most of these big time prospects coming into mma simply coz he’s been doing this for a decade. I say he winds up top 15 easily if he fixes his cardio which at HW, you never know.

by NameNotRequired on Sep 6, 2009 1:00 PM EDT up reply actions

What division would nelson be in if he didn’t have a gut. I’m not sure how tall he is (shorter than AA from memory???) but frame wise he’s not big, Hendo size I say.

by MoonUK on Sep 6, 2009 1:18 PM EDT up reply actions

NNR….I wouldn’t consider cracking the top 15 as seriously contending in the HW division. Also bare in mind the HW division is still by far the weakest division in terms of depth. It’s still littered with fighters, who like Nelson, are quite limited athletically and in conditioning. Yes technical skill matters, but a guy with a massive gut gives up too much vs the elite, who also are technically sound and are conditioned properly. As time passes, we will see a bigger influx of athletic big men who also possess sound technical skills. Guys like Nelson may be able to marginally compete right now, but as time passes the window will close shut.

by CL on Sep 6, 2009 3:09 PM EDT up reply actions

Yo NNR you got a link for that Nelson and Mir mats session?

by nick on Sep 6, 2009 3:10 PM EDT up reply actions

roy the sexyness nelson

by john on Sep 6, 2009 10:19 AM EDT reply actions

yeah fat guys can fight..but ask ross clifton if you can be fat and healthy..not so much..it’s kinda sad to be really proud of it..cuz it’s got more cons than pros..but no doubt big country will kick some ass..but to be truthful it is not some thing to strive for..

by sarah on Sep 6, 2009 12:15 PM EDT up reply actions

First thing I thought of was Ross, shame that he died so young but to be honest it didn’t surprise me because if you’re that overweight then you’re going to have some serious health problems. I hope that his family are coping as well as possible during this difficult time.

Hopefully this tragic death gives Big Country a wake up call as like sarah said being that size is not an accomplishment and not only is he harming his chances at being a successful fighter but he is seriously damaging his body. He’s going to be a favourite to win this show (though I think that one of the NFL players will win it, some of them are monsters) but I hope that he takes his body more seriously if he wants to fulfil his potential.

by David W-S on Sep 6, 2009 3:13 PM EDT up reply actions

I think Big Country gonna win the show easily. I can see some the NFL players or strong wrestlers giving him the biggest threat

by IrishKev on Sep 6, 2009 10:21 AM EDT reply actions

I’d say that the only time we ever see his ‘victory rub’!!(thankfully)

by bons on Sep 6, 2009 10:24 AM EDT up reply actions

I heard there’s a new movie in production, “fat guys can’t fight” starring Roy Nelson.

by UFC Champ on Sep 6, 2009 10:33 AM EDT up reply actions

He was whipping up on ‘ol AA for a while. I’d actually love to see a rematch so that Big Country can finish the job.

by chefdaddy on Sep 6, 2009 11:17 AM EDT up reply actions

he whuped up and got robbed by monson as well.

by Blazy J on Sep 6, 2009 11:22 AM EDT up reply actions

for a guy that carries all that fat he has no bad cardio

by ruan-fiy on Sep 6, 2009 10:52 AM EDT reply actions

He will most likely win. Most experience and he is a real MMA fighter, the rest are just wannabes.

by Skope on Sep 6, 2009 11:12 AM EDT reply actions

wow….this season is crap. 4 former nfl players, a fat bum with no cardio, and a street fighter with zero ground game.

by kimboisgarbage on Sep 6, 2009 12:11 PM EDT reply actions

This is an abomination!!! If I want to see fat guys, I’ll look at defensive linemen.

by Vic on Sep 6, 2009 12:13 PM EDT reply actions

right you only wanna see fit sexy guys right?

by tapps on Sep 6, 2009 12:25 PM EDT up reply actions

I don’t use the word ‘sexy’ to describe guys.

by Vic on Sep 6, 2009 1:09 PM EDT up reply actions

Buff??

by MoonUK on Sep 6, 2009 1:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Buff? Hmm. I dunno. I keep it simple and say ’he’s fit’ or ‘stays in shape.’

by Vic on Sep 6, 2009 1:46 PM EDT up reply actions

If you’re hesitant to use “sexy”, it’s like you’re hesitant to wear pink. And only real men wear pink. Hence, you’re not confident about your sexuality.

by The Negation on Sep 6, 2009 6:38 PM EDT up reply actions

Real men wear pink? News to me. I once stole a girl from a dude who was wearing pink. The ladies like men not sissies.

by Dan on Sep 6, 2009 10:20 PM EDT up reply actions

The way I look at it, if you describe a guy as “sexy” that means you find him sexually appealing. So if my girl is watching the weighs-ins and she says “DAMN, look at that guy!” I’ll give a nod and simply say “yeah, he’s fit.” Unless I want to make her laugh, then I’ll say yeah, he’s “hot”, “dreamy” or “sexy.”

by Vic on Sep 7, 2009 8:30 AM EDT up reply actions

buffmclargehuge

by brendan on Sep 7, 2009 4:48 PM EDT up reply actions

Its not pink, its salmon!

by pwilson on Sep 8, 2009 1:01 PM EDT up reply actions

I don’t know if something is wrong with me, but the only thing i that disgusts me more than Nelson’s distended belly is Kimbo’s inside out belly button. Grody.

by MyQuit on Sep 6, 2009 12:22 PM EDT reply actions

I hope big country pulls it off for the fat man. Ive got faith in him.

by buddy on Sep 6, 2009 1:24 PM EDT reply actions

Hey! Where the hell did they get that picture of me??? lol

by Dana's a CrossDresser on Sep 6, 2009 1:37 PM EDT reply actions

by Lights Out on Sep 6, 2009 6:26 PM EDT reply actions

Is that “jay”?

by introvert on Sep 6, 2009 9:03 PM EDT reply actions

lil nog and big nog are twins right? Matt Hughs has a twin too. It seems like every set of identical twin boys I know are all scrappers. I only know two pair but all 4 of those guys can fight. Who has lil nog beaten? Not saying he hasn;t beaten anyone I am just asking because I do not know.

My money is on one of the nfl guys to win tuff this time.
