Jason 'Mayhem' Miller won't sign a contract to fight Jake Shields in October ...

... according to the former Elite XC welterweight champion via GracieFighter.com:

"... he'll beat the piss out of me? He's the one that won't sign the contract. I would sign that fight tonight but he just wants to talk and act tough, but he's the one that won't sign. His manager tells us the fight is on, Miller has agreed and then I'm hearing he's decided he can't fight in October but would maybe do it in December. He thinks he's a star now but just like the show I was the only one doing the fighting while he just did the talking. He must think he's Cung Le now."

It's interesting that Miller prematurely announced that he would fight Shields for the Strikeforce interim middleweight belt and now the rumored bout is in jeopardy because "Mayhem" wants to fight, according to Shields, in December. Perhaps it's because "Mayhem" wants another crack at Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza first under the DREAM banner; however, Strikeforce and the Japanese-based recently forged a strategic alliance to work together and share talent. There is certainly some funny business going on here, which should come as no surprise when "Mayhem" is involved. Stay tuned ...
