Sylvia needs to go through TUF to prove he’s worthy to come back.
by c-war on Sep 2, 2009 2:55 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Maybe he should shit his pants again in this upcoming fight and the ufc will remember what they are missing out on lol

Sylvia vs. Kimbo. Loser fights somewhere else.
by Mahde on Sep 2, 2009 11:35 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
He would have to do more than that (I’m not actually sure what, but more). Dana has had a fire in his ass against boxing for a long time, and this formed UFC champion was demolished by an over the hill, 40-something retired boxer.
It could be construed as a huge embarassemnt for the UFC if Timmy were to come back. So he will have to prove himself like no other to ever step inside the UFC’s octagon again.

Time needs to get back on a diet and start training seriously again before he even thinks about crawling back to Dana. Getting KO’d by Ray Mercer is going to follow him the rest of his carreer.
by O damn he got caught on Sep 2, 2009 1:27 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Mercer is even higher than him in the ranking b/c of this loss.

How dare they show a picture of Paddington Bear with the title around his waist…those days are long gone. I still have nightmares about the world where Dumpy McSupersize was the UFC HW champ.

I always thought he looked more like Teddy Ruxpin
by HOC on Sep 2, 2009 2:44 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
LOL at both of you. Tim should retire. He will lose a lot more fights if he was back in the UFC.

Does anyone remember that wrestling game with generic wrestlers from the original Nintendo? Because Timmay looks like the Swamp Guy or whatever he was called.

Damn you HOC…I was the 1st Maniac to make a teddy ruxbin refference on this site! I forget why I used it though…lol i think thats what I called Guida! lmao!

I dunno why everyone hates on Tim, he always sounds very respectful in interviews and never really trash talks and always trys to find a way to please the fans- he is a boring fighter YES with the same grab u in a clinch and try some damage, but he has been in some exciting fights can’t say he hasn’t- and him being in the UFC would be exciting imagine the match ups him against Brock, Carwin, Congo, and that new guy that looks like a really really white Terminator that has the new record Duffe or something… all sick fights that can be put together especially in a Division that can use all the help it can get.
by ricky on Sep 2, 2009 2:16 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Holy shit…EVERYBODY LOOK OVER HERE…despite recent reports…Tim actually has a fan. They are so rare that this guy needs to be put in a museum so that generations can see what a Tim Sylvia fan looks like.
by Buster Bluth on Sep 2, 2009 2:29 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
wow, is it real? maybe it’s Timmy himself.

Tims a fucking douchebag, he tried to fight me in a local bar till we both got kicked out, i’m 6’0" 220 and never trained a day in my life, then he told a mutual friend that he would pay for me to go down to MFS and fight him in a cage, WHAT A FUCKING DOUCHBAG. I should of after what Mercer did to him.
by El Guapo on Sep 2, 2009 2:37 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
If you rushed him and swung for his chin I’m pretty sure he would go down…
by oskarbravo on Sep 3, 2009 3:37 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
im not a fan but i do wonder sometimes why people hate tim so much

what are u talking about! I wanna see him fight brock badly!!
since he said he was a better fighter at ufc 81..
damn, that would be a fun fight.
by shamo84 on Sep 2, 2009 1:48 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Tim taps so fast he would probably tap from the rape choke Brock would slap on him.
by BNF on Sep 2, 2009 1:57 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
LOL maybe Strikeforce could use him to get AA confidence back up as you all know he did beat AA before AA left the UFC hell who know he might be a top three HW in Strikeforce?
by Puck Head on Sep 2, 2009 6:50 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I can’t stand Sylvia. He is such a waste of space. GO AWAY TIM!!!! Go find another career. Be a park ranger or something.
by LJ on Sep 2, 2009 1:59 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
“park ranger” for some reason that struck me as damn funny!!!!!
by CaptainAmerica on Sep 2, 2009 3:44 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
What Tim really needs is a harness and a helmet with his name on it.
WAR TIMMAAAHHHH !!!!
by ~Savage~ on Sep 2, 2009 1:31 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
i laughed pretty hard at that comment, theres no way he gets back into the ufc, he is in no way marketable and dana just doesnt seem to like him at all, arlovski has a far better chance of getting back that tim does, only way this happens is if tim goes on like a 10-0 tear through all other competition outside the ufc and we all know that wont happen, i was never really a fan of him and almost alway routed against him but in all honesty i feel abit sorry for him, no one that i can remember has gone from being ufc champ and regarded as 1 of the top hw’s to being totally irrelivant in such a short space of time, it wouldnt be so bad if he didnt have the ray mercer loss but that was possibly the stupidest thing he has ever done, that fight was a no win situation, even if he had won he would have been more of a joke for fighting him but he lost which is something that he could never live down even if he does somehow start to dominate
by hughes on Sep 2, 2009 1:42 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
ya a part of me does feel bad…but then I laugh again. Lets face it I don’t think even Tim takes himself seriously anymore, if he did he wouldn’t show up to a fight looking like a fat tub of poo.
by ~Savage~ on Sep 2, 2009 1:52 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Tim has a nice enough personality…but his fights tend to be a little on the boring side unless he’s getting thrashed.
by MM_Eh on Sep 2, 2009 1:37 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
His personality is boring to….this is all I think about when I see him now.

That’s because this idiot was constantly running his mouth about being a dominant heavyweight and dominant strikah, or however he says it. He had that gawd-awful third fight with AA, went 5 rounds with that left-wing nutjob Monson, couldn’t finish Vera when Vera’s hand was broken, then there was the Mercer debacle. If you want to be a dominant striker, Big Poopy, finish a damn fight once in a while.
by PW on Sep 2, 2009 2:00 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
he’s officially added to the PW hate list falling just short of Huggy Bear
by McArthur on Sep 2, 2009 4:50 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I at least have to give Huggie credit for never soiling himself mid-fight.
by PW on Sep 2, 2009 4:58 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Tim has an uphill battle getting back into the UFC. He’s not a fighter with an exciting style – in fact, his most exciting fights have usually been the ones he lost. And his recent losses, particularly the one to Ray Mercer, have seriously set him back. He’s going to have to rack up some decent wins first, and there’s still zero chance he makes the money Affliction threw at him.
by Jase on Sep 2, 2009 1:48 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
You can be certain that he’ll never gonna see that type of money again. Monty Cox already have problem to find him place to fight outside of Adrenaline. He should take Dana’s offer and go to TUF to prove himself like Kimbo did.

Sylvia is one of the MOSt boring guys to watch. He was only fun to watch when he was on roids and a monster. Ever since then he has been sluggish and slow. He is easily submittable and his chin has deteriorated so now he is easily KO’d. All around a boring fighter with no marketing value or anything. Lets count back things he has done….
KO’d by Mercer
Dancing with the stars with a CAPE ON!
Submitted by Fedor with only one arm in!!!!!
Submitted by Nog
Tested positive for D-ball
The list goes on and on. Guy should find a new day job. I feel like I could submit him. Ive never even once rooted for this guy. He is just not fun to watch AT ALL

Don’t forget… submitted by Murr. Possibly the worst thing that can happen in anyone career.
by Alpha Male on Sep 2, 2009 2:12 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Didn’t Sylvia ask to be released from his contract following the loss to Nog? What an ass.
by Lyquid on Sep 2, 2009 2:04 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Well him and Arlovski chose to take big paydays from Affliction than consistant paydays from UFC. If you go to fight for the competition, don’t expect to be welcome back especially when you keep losing.
by CrowCrucifix on Sep 2, 2009 2:07 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
i dont even want to say this b/c i feel bad but im sersiously concerned that tim is going down a bad path. he’s never been liked by the fans and i think that bothers him. hughes basically trashed him in his book, the ufc doesnt wnat him. i hope he turns it around and get into shape b/c the sylvia that fought cabbage and ricco was a good fighter.
by bobby o'shea on Sep 2, 2009 2:30 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
hed make a good guy to use to put over the future talent guys…bring him in to let the cains and dos santos type fighters build a resume of beating a fighter with a name..since its obvious hes never gonna be a contender again he can at least be put to use to help other guys make a name..
and who knows maybe he does get serious and put together 5 or 6 wins straight and actually matters again..doubtful…but who knows

He’s going to doing anything he can to come back now that they legalized mma in Maine.

TIM WILL COME BACK & TEAR THRU THE HW DIVISION IF HE GETS HIS MIND RIGHT!!
by d*locc on Sep 2, 2009 3:56 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I think many of you guys are forgetting that Tim was the champ and looked unbeatable for a while.
Tim may have made a stupid mistake against Mercer by thinking he could box with him, but if he actually uses his head for thinking rather than a punching bag for pro boxers…he’s legit.
The Mercer fight was originally a boxing match, then later turned into an MMA match. I think Tim just decided to meet Mercer half way and box him….stooooopid. Any MMA fighter in the world would be ko’d if they got hit by Mercer with 4oz gloves on.
by introvert on Sep 2, 2009 4:15 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
i said from day one tim would lose in boxing, the only hope he had was mercer was so old, other than that this guy was not just some pro boxer he as at the top of boxing and your right would beat any mma fighter in a boxing match.
by roy on Sep 2, 2009 4:20 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
The argument being “it wasn’t a boxing match”.
Wait for it…….wait for it…….wait for it……..
by introvert on Sep 2, 2009 4:26 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I think Tim could give anyone a tough fight. Just his height and reach alone make him difficult for almost anyone.

i really would like to see crocop vs. timmeh bcuz i’d like to see the big tree fall from a lhk.

He was so boring the first time round Dana would have to be an idiot to let him back in. Anybody that wants the “Lame-iac” back should re-watch Sylvia VS Monson at UFC 65 and try to stay awake! Most boring HW champ in years.
by oskarbravo on Sep 3, 2009 3:41 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
once Riely upsets him, he will fall off the MMA radar for any company! UFC will not take him back, ever!
