I got a question, do any of you actually wanna see swick or kampman face gsp? I just don’t see anything out there for gsp at ww. If he’s not ready for MY, it’s 100% understandable, how about a catch weight with someone at like 177-180?

Dan Henderson vs GSP at MW….they both similar heights and size?? i’m sure GSP can put on 15lb…

I absolutely want to see Swick fight GSP. I think he’s a legitimate contender. I don’t know why everyone thinks GSp is so unbeatable all of a sudden. Anyway, more importantly, I wonder how Dana is going to rectify the ticketing situation for 103 since he just admitted he screwed up 102 and I don’t see 103 being any different

am I the only one tht htinks this card should be free on Spike?
by thetuf75 on Aug 31, 2009 7:58 PM EDT reply actions
it is pretty weak, but I heard we’ll get 2 free in november. Ur gonna see more free events with more fighters and events being had!
by kevin on Aug 31, 2009 8:01 PM EDT up reply actions
is this the card that they’ll also show the prelims on spike? I’m very excited for the opportunity to watch all the fights, but was wondering, are they still gonna use prelims as “fillers” just in case of quick main card fights, or try to schedule 1 more main card fight and give us less boring commercials and promos we’ve seen 1000 times already!
by kevin on Aug 31, 2009 7:58 PM EDT reply actions
maybe they will still show them because not everyone gets to see them for free and some ppl might even not know about the free prelims, but i really don’t know..
by guyverbob on Aug 31, 2009 8:10 PM EDT up reply actions
Yeah, that’s the event that they will put the prelims on spike b/c of the Mayweather fight. And this card is not weak compared to 101.
by Alpha Male on Aug 31, 2009 9:27 PM EDT up reply actions
nope, just looked at it, ur right, it’s not weak

Anyone think Cro Cop’s gonna KO Dos Santos – cos I sure as hell do! Cro Cop’s not finished yet!
by jayshogun on Aug 31, 2009 8:17 PM EDT reply actions
Cro Cop is not done but he will get Knocked out in this fight.
by Natas on Aug 31, 2009 8:26 PM EDT up reply actions
Not happening – dont understand all the hype behind Dos Santos. Hell, in a rematch I got Struve. DS may be a force in the future but CC will show him how the big boys hang with a brutal KO – I’m betting on it.
by jayshogun on Aug 31, 2009 8:30 PM EDT up reply actions
Well listen here and listen good ’coz you guys are gonna hear it here 1st. Dos Santos is gonna walk through CroCop like a hot knife through butter. Alert the media motherf*cks!!
by Syd on Aug 31, 2009 9:05 PM EDT up reply actions
In your dreams, dreamer! Dos Santos will get KO against anyone who can throw strait punches. Mirko will annihilate Dos Santos, like he did to Wand a few year back.
by Alpha Male on Aug 31, 2009 9:38 PM EDT up reply actions
I meant against any great strikers that can throw strait punches. The guy that he fought in his Kickboxing career are not on the same level than Cro Cop.
by Alpha Male on Aug 31, 2009 9:45 PM EDT up reply actions
That was a few years back. Welcome to 2009 Alpha, where it’s all happenin’!

Talk it up but Cro Cop is going for a nap. Heres where dos santos has an advantage over cro cop, hand speed, reach, height, weight , age (10 years younger), punching power, clinch work/knees, wrestling, BJJ.
Cro cop has better head kicks of course but his last kickboxing match was in 2002 and although he had a decent run its not like he was ever a champion in K1. His last 6 mma fights he has stunk up the place with a mixture of getting his head kicked off, getting outwresled by a guy who cant wrestle, eye pokes, groin shot ralleys and a couple of Japcans. In fact cro cop has omly ever beaten 2 top 20 ranked heavyweights in hiS whole MMA career. He even lost his last kickboxing match, to Mark Hunt.
Alphamale (whats with the name anyway, you lead a pack of baboons or something? you like to be known as an r type maybe.) Anyway youre so sure that cro cop cant be finished by fast accurate hooks amd uppercuts like dos santos usually kos people with, have a look at this Cro cop fight against Michael McDonald – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tNx57ejJO4 what you got to say about that? Hardly a straight punch to be seen, did Cro Cop even throw, never mind land one of these amzing straight punches you say he is so good at? McDonals style remind you of anyone? Do you think being trained by Nog and Anderson Silva, being an undefeated kickboxing champion and winning 70% of his MMA fights by KO means that Dos Santos can’t box or defend a kick?
Stop looking through rose tinted glasses. Cro cop is getting sacraficed.
If anyone is interested I put together a video of some of Dos Santos early fights and highlights to hype the match – here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZRXJ0TXpfc

Hey Paniczoo, what’s is it with your name? I guess you’re into bestiality and that’s what animals feels when they sees you, they panic. Maybe it’s a reminder to say that you’re from a country that is represent as a zoo? As usual you make no f’n sense in your ranting. You have the balls to say that Mirko kickboxing career was nothing compared to your Cigano shitty kickboxing career?
And to topple your nonsense you saying that “He even lost his last kickboxing match, to Mark Hunt.”…What??
Man you got to be the dumbest mofo on this site.
Here a reminder of the who’s who of awesome strikers that he faces(I invite you to look if he truly lost to Hunt)
http://www.k-1.co.jp/k-1gp/fighter/mirko_cro_cop.htm
I know, you know nothing in kickboxing, but there’s nothing in your bug resume that can be compared on his resume.
As for his fighting style I suggest you to take a look at your montage attentively and then take a look of this…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjHxQl-KwEs
Cigano is tailor made for Mirko strong accurate strait punches. Believe it, he can throw some strait punches and I won’t spend the day show it to you, just for making you realize that you’re too much ignorant to understand that he’s a better striker than your Dos Santos. Plus I won’t get into a debate with someone who’s clearly delusional by trying to compared Cro Cop MMA career or talent with a guy that his only quality win “EVER” is Werdum. You try to rant logic like your famous Fedor posts… well it doesn’t work in this case.
Mirko doesn’t care of your “fast accurate hooks and uppercuts” like Dos Santos throws, he answers with strait accurate punches strait down the pipe. You’ll see what I mean Sept. 19, 2009.
A reminder for you… Mirko asked for this fight not the other way around. And btw…Cigano doesn’t trains with A Silva on a daily basis. He didn’t even spared with him in the Nog training camp, so stop making speculation that he is, when you have no f’n clue of what you’re talking about.
by Alpha Male on Sep 1, 2009 12:29 PM EDT up reply actions
;) good response, you got me on the beastiality thing, i especially like baboons so watch out!
I have to admit i respect cro cop and wouldnt try to deny he has a good chance in this fight(its a big test for Cigano), he has way more experience and a better resume i agree, but he is 10 years older so its to be expected. As far as the link to his K1 kickboxing record, you are showing me that he is 14-7 in his k1 career, pretty much proves my point, he made it to the finals in 1999 but got ktfo – he was never champ. Im not saying he isnt a good kickboxer but just not as great as his fans make him out to be.
I am so pumped for this fight though and like you say – we will see on SEP 19.

CC will send Dos Santos right into a body bag later in the first round along with all the wwe kids on here!!

if cro cop fights at 100 percent nobody will stop him
by big bo on Aug 31, 2009 8:25 PM EDT reply actions
lol, im a huge cro cop fan, but I have to disagree. he has no real ground game to speak of
by kevin on Aug 31, 2009 8:28 PM EDT up reply actions
Have you even take the time to see him training before saying your speculation? If your are a huge Cro Cop then you’re the worse fan ever. He still working his jits with Werdum, his ground game look excellent and way much better than before his operation.
by Alpha Male on Aug 31, 2009 9:22 PM EDT up reply actions
i agree alpha, that doesn’t mean “no one will stop him.”
thats the comment I was referencing.
he hasn’t really had an impressive fight since joining the UFC, and if I was gonna go on peoples training, then EVERYONE looks good, I could take film of you benching 500 lbs and hype you up. As a huge fan, it doesn’t mean I’m a John G. fan, i’m realistic
by kevin on Aug 31, 2009 9:39 PM EDT up reply actions
That’s cool Kev, I respect that. I was just saying that his jits look very good since the operation. True though, he wasn’t impressive in his fights against Kongo and GG. But in the al turk fight, w/o being at 100%, he did good under circumstance. He looks very good in the few vids that I saw since his operation.
by Alpha Male on Aug 31, 2009 9:54 PM EDT up reply actions
It’s like GG, I’m a huge Gonzaga fan, but anyone who says his top game hasn’t looked sloppy at best is kidding themselves. He’s a big HW and supposedly has great BJJ yet guys with not even close to his skill are escaping from the bottom. I know Carwin is a great wrestler, but GG should have been able to capitalize on the top. Just keeping it real guys!
by kevin on Aug 31, 2009 9:59 PM EDT up reply actions
i know he is not the most rounded fighter.but he is one scary dude in stand up.he wreaked havok in pride and k-1,and if the that same old mirko rises again its bad news for his opponents.
by big bo on Aug 31, 2009 11:09 PM EDT up reply actions
LOL at Kev usin’ the John G fan as reference…
He’s right Alpha. CroCop’s ground game is really weak to the point that he has “no real ground game”. As I’e said, Dos Santos is gonna walk through Cro-Flop. On the stand up, Cro is gonna eat some haymakers[ala Werdum], and on the ground, CroCop is gonna get disassembled!
by Syd on Aug 31, 2009 11:44 PM EDT up reply actions
Your getting stupid syd…talking with wwe kids on a daily basis makes your post brainless..
first! Dos Santos will walk through CC? hope ur not drunk like bo coz even if he is he still talks with sense.
second! Dos Santos will disassemble CC on the ground? let me remind you Dos Santos is Dos Santos not NOG or Fedor!
third! CC will eat haymakers? need I say more about that? hopeless worm!!..

This is an awesome card and I can’t wait to see it. Franklin has his hands full but I’d like to see him KO Vitor. Cro Cop by head kick and Swick by “Swickatine”

Whoever said that this card’s crappy is on drugs. I love this free PPV! you just can’t get to watch Vitor nowadays on cable TV!!

it was the wrong one, my bad, this is a good card, lots of prelims too, seems like more than usual!
by kevin on Aug 31, 2009 9:40 PM EDT up reply actions
Oi dude! No worries. I didn’t mean you as the dude on the drugs. I’m sure it’s some other poster here because when this card was announced before, a lot of ‘em were complaining and whinin’ that they won’t buy the PPV, blah blah blah…
but anyway, you’re right in that at first glance it really looks weak!!
