as much as i wanted nogueira to win, it sucks seeing randy lose. oh well for both those fighters im with them win/lose/draw. and randy has nothing to be ashamed of he took some bombs and kept kicking, also that might have been the most entertaining fight i’ve watched personally. my old favorite was barnett-nog 2 but this passed that

If thats a serious question, NO. He had a ton of scar tissue removed. It halps cut down on the significance of a cut and the bleeding. He had a shit ton of bareknuckle fights before he came over to Pride so thats why his face was always fucked up.

they might make hendo vs marquardt to headline ufc 105

Both are deserving after their performance against Silva + their last fights, but what is silva gonna do? Im racking my brain for a good fight for him, but rashad v. rampage winner will get machida/shogun. All these marquee LHW fights are around the same time. It will tough with scheduling, but lets see whats Joe silva pulls out.

sounds like a great headliner. personally i cant give a prediction for that fight. those are two of my top 5 favorite fighters and theres no way i could pick against the other

lol, overall I was pleased with Nog winning (even though I didn’t think he would, I was rooting for him)! Randy looked good in defeat! I think Nog could be the guy to give Lesner problems. he’s taken fedor to a decision and I don’t think Brock is fedor! Man I hope so!
Overall a pretty good night of fights. The guy who beat Ed Herman really impressed me. He looked like he may be able to make WW. He was quick and strong and really impressed me~

Yeah, kev, A-train i think? That kid has some serious impressive takedowns, tossed Herman around like a ragdoll.

lol it looks like the guy that was tapping the bottle was ready to make some racist comments about rashad after he left but seen the cam up there xD

I think you might be projecting your own urges right now.

It’s nice to see Brock supporting Randy.

IT was even funnier to see the camera on Randy and it went from cheers then the second they showed brock the boos started to come out!! lol Excellent fight last night, Mia i know ur sick on the ground, but this lose was probebly the best thing thats ever happend to him- even I called the counter the first kick he threw.. excellent night of fights must say

It’s the wrestling camaraderie. He wants a rematch with Couture because I think he’s scared that Nog might catch him too in a submission if they fought, like the one with the 1st Mir fight…
by The Negation on Aug 30, 2009 5:57 PM EDT up reply actions
I think he wants the rematch cause of all the talk about how Randy was winning the fight up until he caught him with a right hook.
by O damn he got caught on Aug 30, 2009 6:24 PM EDT up reply actions
Check out the body language (leg and arm positioning) of Couture and Lesnar when they were talking to each other. Lesnar’s body language could be be interpreted as that of someone who wants to be friends and perhaps, although not likely, a bit cocky, open shoulders, legs, arms wide open, chest out) and so on.
Randy, on the other hand, was very reserved and closed. It looked like he didn’t want be all buddy buddy with Lesnar.

You don’t think it could be anything related to Randy getting ready to fight a short while later. Plus at right side brock was cheering for Randy. I wonder if he will talk to randy about a game plan for Nog.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I don’t understand this brock hate.
by CasualFan on Aug 30, 2009 3:05 PM EDT up reply actions
I thought about that too, but Randy seemed a lot more open to other people. It’s not like Brock is the only guy he talked during this video. Although you certainly could be right.
I don’t hate Brock, I just don’t think Randy is a fan of his and wants to be friends with him. I got that feeling after hearing some comments he made about Brock’s antiques after his win over Mir.

Randy also slapped him on the chest when they greeted. Bad analysis

Also might have something to do with the fact that Randy wanted to fight Brock again if he beat Nog. I think it’s cool of Lesnar to show some support for Randy and stop by.
His goofball post fight antics aside, I think Brock is good for the sport. There should be a monster at HW that maxes out the weight class, a big gorilla that everyone is trying to figure out how to deal with. That way, if you beat him, you know you are a true HW Champ.
Let’s face it, Randy is a LHW, masquerading as a HW. There are even some MW’s like Marquardt that are bigger than him. The fight vs. Nog was a thriller. There is no shame at all in a W like that. But Randy should move down to LHW for his last fight or two.
Forget about Machida or AS, Randy is too chinny now to stand up to their strikes. Someone like Thiago Silva would make more sense.

How about Randy versus Rich Franklin?

I’d like to see Randy back in LHW too. He can win fights as a HW but he’s more exciting as a LHW. I think Randy likes to fight in HW so he can eat. lol.
I said it a long time ago, Leben should drop to WW. He needs to tighten his technique and pick up more tools but ultimately, the only reason he wins fights at MW is ’cause of his chin and his heavy hands. Leben at WW and well conditioned would be very exciting to watch.

I just love those behind the scenes videos. Primarily those that show some entrance scenes.

Randy is a great ambassador for the sport.
That was an awesome video.
I wish I could do that kind of shit.

Part 2 of this blog is even better.
It’s sad to see Randy lose a fight.
You gotta love how everyone respects Randy. :)
by Natas9 on Aug 31, 2009 1:11 PM EDT reply actions
Brock supported Randy because they are both wrestlers! There is a huge loyalty there.
Brock said he wanted to train with Randy some time ago, before the Mir fight.
They both were very respectful before there fight, there would be no reason to be pissed at each other.
