The cards with the least hype always bring it strong. It’s gonna be hard tryin to watch the undercard on spike, the PPV and simultaneously the Mayweather PPV online.

war big nog!!!~ glad i didn’t bet on this fight!~
i am sooo happy nog won, and looked sooo damn good!~
i have been waiting to see that nog for about 2 yrs now!~
i truely thought randy was going to come up with one of those natural gameplans..i wanted nog to win soo bad..
i didn’t write nog off, i fully knew he could do it, but i must admit, i didn’t think he would “handle randle” like that..
nog completely owned randy, in what i think, was the best fight this year!~
nog is back and peeps better watch out!!
imo~ i think the ufc should cancel carwin/brock and hook up the real number one contender to fight brockness.. then have carwin fight cain, like he was supposed to..

Yeah, I would like that better too, Stink. But I think that they need to make Brock fighting soon b/c they need him for the superbowl weekend.
Nog was awesome, but he did so many mistakes that I couldn’t believe that someone that good could miss things like that. He had an arm bar right in his face a couple of times and he didn’t capitalized on it. Great performance though.
Am I the only one that find that weird that Dana was on a Sherdog interview?

They should make Main Events and Title fights five rounds.

LOL
I remember back when he didn’t know a lick of english.
by Jono on Aug 30, 2009 8:57 PM EDT up reply actions
He’s improved a lot, it’s good to see fighters try to learn the native language of the country that they fight in. Even since 91, when he was doing interviews for MMA Live in English he’s clearly improved so props to him, it’s difficult to learn a new language and English is one of the most difficult to learn.

Gotta be more penalties for nut kicks. If there is no penalty for missing inside leg kicks…then who cares about kicking someone full speed in the nuts??
That is what gave GG an easy W. C-Tuch was lucky to be on queer street when it started over. Go and watch that fight. That dude was vomitting and flailing around like a fish a one point.
What a debut in the UFC for 10k….when douchebags like Bisping get 100k/100k to fight
by fightfan on Aug 30, 2009 10:16 PM EDT reply actions
They’re a foul. If a foul is blatant or repeated then it’s a DQ for sure. Not sure if it’s a No Contest if Accidental and fighter can’t continue. But you can’t start assigning levels to fouls- it’s gotta be all or nothing IMO.

I don’t see how they can enforce it. Everything is pretty much a warning. Unless it ends the fight, it won’t be reviewed by the new instant replay. If it only happens once, it’s pretty much just an accident or “accident.”
“Don’t grab the fence”
“Watch the back of the head”
“Keep em’ clean”
Not much to deter the bad egg, but MOST of these guys fight with honor.
Side note: I think think T. should be thankful for $10k. Didn’t he get an express pass to the UFC because he trains with Brock? He’s got the same sponsors too.

Agreed fightfan. It was sad seeing him convulse and puke like that… I understand that it happens (groin shots), but this may have been a good time for him to call it quits rather than try to continue and assure that you’re going to get brutalized because you cannot defend yourself.
After watching the replay on the big screen and his subsequent reaction on the mat I think he may have had something ruptured internally.

The guy above said how respectful GG was. What were he watching? GG was like a crackhead that someone took all his crack from. HE was like Rogan was saying….While C-Tuch was vomitting and trying to get his nuts back from near his heart, Gonzaga was like an ape jumping up and down and pacing like a murderer. That was about as low class as it gets. And I like GG.
That shot definitely ended ANY channce of Tuch winning that fight. And it most likely caused him some damage that he is feeling now. ALmost the same as kneeing a downed opponent…..then pacing and jumping up and down like a gorilla waiting for him to gain enough sense back from the illegal strike to stand up, so you can then go and kill him
by fightfan on Aug 31, 2009 8:51 AM EDT up reply actions
he apologised, what else can you do?
he is pumped up for a fight he isnt just going to stand there and let his muscles tighten up, which would lead to more obvious stiffer kicks and punches and possibly a muscle strain
and i was not talking about that particular fight anyway i was talking about the interview

you guys ever dump adrenaline then stand around? you get very tight, he’s trying to stay loose, thats it!

To be honest the ref should have had more sense and stopped the fight, as tough as Chris is it was ridiculous allowing him to continue, Gabe has some of the hardest kicks in MMA, he’s KO’d Cro Cop and broken Randy’s arm so that could have done some serious damage and after Tusch flailed around and puked it was blatantly obvious that the fight should have ended then. Allowing Gabe to continue beating a clearly injured opponent for another 2 minutes was neglible and it’s times like that when I despair at local refs getting called up by the athletic commissions for UFC events.

djn,try your homies over at mma-core.
Just got back from my excursion down to the Rose city to see my bros and UFC 102. I saw Rogan the night B4 at small theater in town. He was pretty damn funny. He took Q’s afterwards but has no insight to UFC network deals or why dana stopped his blog. Of course, i was a lil dissapointed with the quick finish of 2 of the marqui fights but the mania for Randy during his fight made up for it. The crowd was certianly opinionated showed no love for Rashad when he was on the screen. I guess they haven’t seen his impressions of Mike Tyson and others. If you’re going to an upcoming show, dont forget your binoculars!

Hope to god they dont make Hendo take out Nate would really suck balls man they already had Hendo take out Palhares which is without a doubt better then Maia dont need Hendo taking out Nate as well. Just give Nate the title shot and let Hendo fight a top 205 guy like hes been asking for, im 100%sure Hendo wont mind long as he gets his top 205’er. Nate has improved greatly and would do way better vs Anderson this time around.

NOG’s striking looked better than ever I thought Randy had NOG in the striking for sure or at least would not get worked in the stand up. Randy did a good job on the ground and that was a classic. I really want to see NOG and Mir go at it now to see if the first fight was ligit? As far as Randy goes he was out sized in this one his age doesn’t allow him to bulk up anymore he should be a 205 pound fighter if he continues.
