"[Randy Couture] is a great guy, and it was good for me with his wrestling experience. It will help me against my next opponent.... He has a great record and deserves respect, but I think I am in the best shape of my life. I am very focused and I want to become a contender again. I believe in my skills and I am going to be one hundred percent for this fight."
-- Former number one heavyweight contender Gabriel Gonzaga tells Fight! magazine that he's more than ready to introduce Chris Tuchscherer to the Octagon at UFC 102: "Couture vs. Nogueira," which is scheduled for the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Ore., on Aug. 29. "Napao" pulled out all the stops to ensure that he is prepared to handle the skills of the two-time Division II All-American wrestler, training alongside former heavyweight champion -- and the man who defeated him via brutal technical knockout in 2007 -- Randy Couture. After another painful loss to Shane Carwin in his last outing, Gonzaga needs to topple Tuchscherer to remain in the heavyweight title hunt. It's all of a sudden a very crowded division ... can Gonzaga still stay relevant?
