I liked how his book happened to be placed on his desk… I’m sure he was just reading it though, not like he placed it there for his horrible vlog.

Coleman Is one tough fucker although hes old he was in much better shape for the Bonner fight and he will prob be in much better for this one, Tito better work his as off and take him seriously or else

TITO is going to PUNISH COLEMAN and then make a run for the title. TITO by brutal ground and pound.
by TaPouT on Aug 24, 2009 3:39 PM EDT up reply actions
Yeah, He’ll beat Coleman, but make run for the title?? hahahahahaha!
by THORAZINE on Aug 24, 2009 3:55 PM EDT up reply actions
LOL I see him winning and hope his next fight is against the loser or Jardine & T.Silva after that fight we can debate on how good Tito will be. Coleman is just a test that Tito can get all the ring rust off and make sure he’s ready to fight some stiff competition if he loses he has the time off excuse and will have to fight Bonnar or someone aaround that calibure I sure hope he is ready to fight because love him or hate him he adds excitement to the fights.
by Beaver on Aug 24, 2009 4:10 PM EDT up reply actions
TITO @ 100% with no more back problems will definitely make a run for the title, just watch.
by TaPouT on Aug 24, 2009 5:35 PM EDT up reply actions
“excitement to the fights” !!??
He hasn’t evolved in 8 years.
by KS on Aug 24, 2009 5:54 PM EDT up reply actions
KS, I’m with TaPouT on this one… Don’t you luv’ those highlight reels of Liddell teeing off on Tito’s head?… I can watch those forever! I’m hoping Tito can put on more of those caliber (exciting) fights!
by THORAZINE on Aug 24, 2009 6:26 PM EDT up reply actions
I GOT COLEMAN!!! He’s gonna SD Ortiz. It will be the craziest thing ever. The antidote has 100Gs to train with now. He’s gonna be in shape and won’t have to worry about taking serious heat from Ortiz’s hands. Also Ortiz hasn’t fought in how long? Now he’s coming back from surgery etc… Ortiz is getting put on his back.
Don’t know who said this but:
Strikes don’t hurt coleman, they just tell him where to shoot.
by NameNotRequired on Aug 24, 2009 6:54 PM EDT up reply actions
lol… great saying… Hopefully Coleman can pull it off… I actually like Tito since since TUF… he’s the kind of guy I like to hate when he’s the favorite and I always luv’ to bash him. When he’s the underdog Tito’s kindofa’ sentimental favorite for me. In this case, I’m pulling for Coleman!
by THORAZINE on Aug 24, 2009 11:45 PM EDT up reply actions
All COLEMAN is going to pull off is a muscle or a tendon. Its nice to hope that grampa COLEMAN can win but lets face reality,TITO is going to PUNISH and beat him up.
by TaPouT on Aug 25, 2009 12:07 AM EDT up reply actions
Tito is a younger more improved version of Coleman IMO, Tito’s got an edge in the standup and clinch with his knees. Coleman’s got the edge in wrestling. Tito’s defintely better than Coleman in submissions. I do believe Tito’s cardio will be better since the surgery, pain has a way of cutting out cardio… However, I don’t see Tito dominating Coleman unless Coleman gasses.. IMO Coleman is gonna’ give Tito a good fight win or lose!
by THORAZINE on Aug 25, 2009 12:32 AM EDT up reply actions
i have no interest in seein tito fight an old man who is clearly past it. there must be a better opponent than coleman???
by andy_roo on Aug 24, 2009 2:23 PM EDT reply actions
Tito better not lose, I don’t think people would ever stop laughing at him. Coleman may be a dinosaur, but he still has experience and that can play a role in how the fight go’s!
by allamerican on Aug 24, 2009 3:13 PM EDT up reply actions
Oh man, it would be glorious if Coleman won. I would laugh a long time.
by Chalkbot on Aug 24, 2009 3:20 PM EDT up reply actions
thers still a lot of fight left in coleman and like any1 when they getting old they want to try and prove people there not past it yet it will be a closer fight than people think imo
by boyer on Aug 24, 2009 4:17 PM EDT up reply actions
I agree. You combine that with the fact that Tito has ring rust and that Coleman has better wrestling and it gets really interesting in my opinion.
by RyanHobbs on Aug 24, 2009 4:51 PM EDT up reply actions
I don’t think Coleman is gonna outwrestle Tito, simple physics he’s too old and too slow! Coleman’s gastank will be emty after 1 round.. + Tito’s a better striker
by RoBerto on Aug 24, 2009 5:35 PM EDT up reply actions
Coleman is slow but not too many LHWs have slower hands than Tito. He looks like he is punching underwater.
by Jeremyjackson on Aug 24, 2009 5:37 PM EDT up reply actions
yeah, it’s because his back has held him back… Coleman looked pretty damn bad against Bonnar even though he got the win, Tito is gonna manhandle him
by RoBerto on Aug 24, 2009 5:41 PM EDT up reply actions
I’ve has a badly messed up back and it definitely affects just about everything… but I don’t know about hand speed. And from watching his training vids lately he hasn’t gotten any faster – although he is carrying some extra weight right now.
I just don’t think Tito is, or has ever been, a naturally talented striker. His technique and form aren’t that bad, but his hand-speed, power, timing, footwork and accuracy are crap. And he has a habit of moving straight back and turtling up when he gets cracked, which is never a wise idea.
Tito has to take guys to the ground to win if they have even a smidgen of striking ability. Luckily for him, the LHW division is full of guys who like to brawl standing up, so they are often only mediocre on the ground and susceptible to Tito’s takedowns.
by Jeremyjackson on Aug 24, 2009 5:50 PM EDT up reply actions
i want coleman to win and make a run for the title…. the coleman era has begun, 20 yrs to late :P
honestly tho dont really care who wins, am looking forward to the fight tho, if i had to pick then i want tito to win, think he makes a better gate keeper than coleman
by CoN'r on Aug 24, 2009 6:41 PM EDT up reply actions
I don’t know either JJ, but i do know that it affects your movement, and Tito seems to have trouble moving in when he throws his punches so it looks real slow..
I also think he lacks confidence in his standup, he’s had alot of oppurtunities to open up in fights where it would have been effective but instead of that he overcommits to the takedown which can’t be good for your back..
by RoBerto on Aug 24, 2009 8:13 PM EDT up reply actions
while than you should ask ufc why tell tito to fight this guy although that old man just upseted bonnar in a UD. so if you have any beef with this match its should not be at tito it should be place at the match makers in the ufc. Tito Ortiz is a huge draw for the ufc. Tito has to take the fights the ufc gives him. So give the guy a break.
by T-BAG on Aug 25, 2009 4:12 AM EDT up reply actions
well he didnt lose his confidence in the last year and a half.
by markie on Aug 24, 2009 2:24 PM EDT reply actions
Of course not, he’s fighting a guy he feels he can beat and probably will! It’s a good 1st fight for Tito but I also think it’s a good opportunity for Coleman… WAR COLEMAN!!
by THORAZINE on Aug 24, 2009 3:57 PM EDT up reply actions
Tito had better not take Coleman lightly. I remember when he came back to the UFC and fought Forrest. He was so tired at the end of that fight.
by RyanHobbs on Aug 24, 2009 4:52 PM EDT up reply actions
Ryan you wanna know why? It’s because he was injured in his knee and back.. the pain makes you tire that much faster, Tito’s said it himself the most injured he’s ever been going into a fight was the one with Forrest
by RoBerto on Aug 24, 2009 5:37 PM EDT up reply actions
Well that and a knee injury inhibits your ability to train cardio on the treadmill. Regardless, Tito had better come in shape and not take Coleman lightly. I want Tito to make waves in the 205 division.
by RyanHobbs on Aug 24, 2009 5:45 PM EDT up reply actions
All that is true, but correct me if I’m wrong (not being sarcastic, I really might be wrong)….but isn’t Tito one of the guy’s who claims he was hurt going into every fight he ever lost???
by chefdaddy on Aug 24, 2009 7:54 PM EDT up reply actions
no, and he has been having problems since right before the Randy fight where the injury first came, he’s looked better at times and worse other times like when he fought Forrest.. It may not sound good saying it after a loss, but it was true..
by RoBerto on Aug 24, 2009 8:16 PM EDT up reply actions
So Dana stops his vlogs and Tito starts soem of his own. Be cool if more ifghters did stuff liek this to see al lthe behind the scenes stuff!!! Tito is going to abuse Coleman!

Tito is an idiot, you can weight one pound over
by ---Caesar--- on Aug 24, 2009 2:45 PM EDT up reply actions
depends on the state the fight takes place, each states athletic commision has there own rules and in some states you cannot weigh 1 pound over.
by jet99 on Aug 24, 2009 3:47 PM EDT up reply actions
Tito might have mixed this fight up with one that features titleship rounds.
by Jeremyjackson on Aug 24, 2009 2:54 PM EDT up reply actions
After Tito beats Coleman, I wouldn’t mind seeing him fight Jon Jones or Rich Franklin or fight the winner if Jardine/Silva. Either of those three fights would be nice.
by Red on Aug 24, 2009 2:29 PM EDT reply actions
Speaking of Jones:
Great move joining Jackson’s. I guess that brief time at Tri-Star convinced him this was the way to go. I wonder what this kid could look like after a few years down there. I’m thinking they might feed him Hammill next, but I’d like to see him against a decent striker. I just don’t want them to rush him into fights against top-ten guys too quickly.
by Jeremyjackson on Aug 24, 2009 2:35 PM EDT up reply actions
And when is Luiz Cane going to get an opponent?
by Jeremyjackson on Aug 24, 2009 2:56 PM EDT up reply actions
JJ I think Jones can handle a few of the top ten guys right now! However, I agree with you there is no rush for this 22yr old. If they bring him up like they did Rashad Evans it would give him time to get that much better. I think 4-8 (or so) more fights in min 2yrs or max 4 yrs would be ideal, depending on his progress.
by THORAZINE on Aug 24, 2009 4:02 PM EDT up reply actions
Bones next fight should be against a quality fighter if you look at the rankings he has no were to really go but to the top ten a mark Coleman fight would be a good test who Bonnar lost to and Jones also beat the Janitor someone or someone around that calbure even if Jones loses it is a good learning experience and allows the fighter to know what he needs to work on for future fights not all fighters get lucky enough to go undefeated so a loss for Jones wouldn’t be the end of the world and more likely like a great learning lesson. In any sport you need to be pushed to your limits let’s see what Bones are against a quality fighter.

Doesn’t seem like Tito reads very well. That and the way he constantly misspeaks. He says “it’s not going three rounds, I’m taking your ass out in at least two rounds”. What a surprise that Tito has one of those annoying big loopy, can’t read a friggin letter signatures. Your damn right your attorney already looked the contract over, he couldn’t read it if he took all day.
by Adam T. on Aug 24, 2009 2:31 PM EDT reply actions
I never sign a contract without pretendin’ to read it first. Haimburger. Haimburger. Haimburger. Now let’s see if I can remembers how to make my mark.
by Cletus Spuckler on Aug 24, 2009 3:45 PM EDT up reply actions
And "YOU"RE" one to correct someone’s grammar?! Hahahaha. Also, the comma you used in the quote should be a period too.
by BulletproofTiger on Aug 24, 2009 4:15 PM EDT up reply actions
It’s okay though, I’m really not that big of a grammar Nazi. We all goof up. Anyways, I disagree with anyone that thinks he’s dumb. I think he’s probably a lot smarter than most people posting on this site.
by BulletproofTiger on Aug 24, 2009 4:18 PM EDT up reply actions
He’s probably a little dyslexic, nothin wrong with that.
Anyway I think it takes balls to fight Mark Coleman for your first fight back, I mean we all know “The Hammer” isin’t gonna lay down for anyone, and if Tito loses where does that leave him?
I was a little suprised Tito didn’t acknowledge the passing of Evan Tanner when he brought him up..
by Ermac on Aug 24, 2009 6:49 PM EDT up reply actions
No…I think he is right….“You’re” is for “you are” but “your” is for “belonging to you”.
Also, his comma use is technically correct. Maybe a semi-colon, but it’s fine with a comma.
I think “your” grammar is piss poor, (comma) “you’re” a Tito loving moron.
by Striker Dave on Aug 24, 2009 4:41 PM EDT up reply actions
Actually Dave, he said “Your damn right…”. Which should obviously be “you’re damn right”.
Seig Heil, mein grammar Führer.
by Jeremyjackson on Aug 24, 2009 5:17 PM EDT up reply actions
No, this a reference to Bulletproof Tiger’s attempted correction of Adam T’s quoting Tito, "it’s not going three rounds, I’m taking your ass out in at least two rounds".
In this case it should be “you’re” not "your as BPT is trying to wrongfully correct.
Go ahead and champion stupidity all you want, it’s what you need to make yourself feel good for being a moron. I was just ripping on a guy (ButtlerproofTiger) who was trying to correct someone else but was WRONG himself.
But go ahead and wrongfully correct me and call me a grammar nazi…..I’ll call a dumbf*ck. Which is worse, ripping on someone when they are on their high horse and WRONG or being a dumbf*ck? I’ll take the former.
Jeremy Jackson," Me like Tito, me hope he punch old guy in face and me like. Me want to see beatdown. Now me go watch WWE fight….grunt, grunt."
by Striker Dave on Aug 24, 2009 6:05 PM EDT up reply actions
Holy shit Dave, you need to mellow out. You are getting all angry at the wrong person. I was poking fun at myself for being a grammar Nazi. And I hate Tito.
Also, you’re wrong. Adam T said: “Your damn right your attorney already looked the contract over, he couldn’t read it if he took all day.” I was pointing out that that was in fact incorrect.
Hope that helps. If it doesn’t, I can have a friend prescribe some suitable medication. Maybe something in the “anger management” aisle.
by Jeremyjackson on Aug 24, 2009 7:02 PM EDT up reply actions
“No, this a reference to Bulletproof Tiger’s attempted correction of Adam T’s quoting Tito, "it’s not going three rounds, I’m taking your ass out in at least two rounds".

Really Dave?
You sure you want to stick with that?
In this case, “your” clearly implies possession and is therefore correct. Maybe YOU’RE in need of a refresher course.

before tito retires from the UFC, assuming it was a 6 fight deal! I owuld like to see him fight, after coleman, which is a waste of a fight. But id like to see him fight, Shogun, Wanderlie rematch, Rich Franklin, Thiago Silva, Rogerio Noguira.

Anyone else think it is not a smart idea for fighters to train with Freddie Roach? I’ll be the first to admit I’m a big Freddie Roach fan and thinks he is top of his game in boxing, but there is a difference between traditional boxing and boxing for MMA. The jab plays a different role in the two and you don’t have to worry about takedowns in traditional boxing so defense is so much different. I know Freddie has done some minor work with other guys like BJ Penn and Anderson Silva, but I really think Andrei Arlovski working with Roach has been to his detriment. I know Freddie respects MMA and is a fantastic coach, but I don’t think he is an expert at adapting boxing for MMA like coaches are.
by Eric on Aug 24, 2009 6:21 PM EDT reply actions
Of course Freddie Roach is an asset. MMA boxing is different, but he can teach world-class head movement and defense, along with proper form and footwork. He would be a huge asset to any fighter, as long as the skills he teaches you are incorporated into a full MMA fighting system.
Obviously you can’t bob and weave the same way because of knees and kicks, and you have to distribute your weight more evenly than the front-footed boxing style, because of leg kicks and takedowns – but learning a huge facet of the sport from the best in the business is not going to do anything but help, as long as those skills aren’t the only thing you rely upon.
For example, GSP has trained with the Canadian Olympic wrestling team, and it has taken his grappling game to a whole new stratosphere – despite the fact that straight greco-roman wrestling isn’t an MMA-ready system by itself.
by Jeremyjackson on Aug 24, 2009 6:31 PM EDT up reply actions
Andre has been to Andre’s detriment. He is a mentally weak fighter who makes stupid decisions, such as the flying knee he threw on Fedor, which I’m pretty damn sure Roach had nothing to do with.
When Rashad looks like shit against Machida or Thiago Alves gets owned by GSP, nobody suggests that Greg Jackson or ATT are to blame. They simply ran into better fighters that are a level ahead and no trainer could have prepared them for. The Rogers fight was an aberration, IMO. If AA and Brett fought ten times, I’d say Arlovski wins at least eight. Guys have bad nights, especially guys coming off a big KO who have a habit of thinking too much in there – like Arlovski.

Tito will never get his title back! He might get through Coleman, probably will. After that I want him to rematch Griffin… so Griffin can show the world the first fight was a bad judging call. I don’t care who you are Forrest won that first fight!
And then Tito will be what Karo is to Welterweight – a gatekeeper to Top 10. Maybe after Forrest is done kicking his ass they should feed Tito to Bones Jones… that guy is Golden… and now training at Tri-Star. Perfect.
