Shane Carwin 'honored' to fight Brock Lesnar at UFC 106

Props: Shane-Carwin.com

Quoteworthy:

"I have verbally been offered the fight with Brock and I have verbally accepted this fight. My manager and the UFC are handling the the details. I am honored that the UFC has given me this opportunity. The fans of this sport are what makes MMA so great. I expect to be fighting at UFC 106 in November."

Number one heavyweight title contender Shane Carwin shares his first public thoughts on challenging division champion Brock Lesnar at UFC 106 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Nov. 21. Carwin was expected to take on Cain Velasquez at UFC 104 on Oct. 24; however, the promotion today shifted gears and opted instead to put him up against someone his own size -- Carwin and Lesnar are far and away the biggest competitors on the UFC roster. And they both have strong wrestling backgrounds. On paper, the fighters appear to be very evenly matched. However, Lesnar has dedicated himself to training mixed martial arts for the past few years. Meanwhile, Carwin still holds down a full-time job as an engineer at the North Weld County Water District in Colorado. So far, it hasn't affected his performance inside the Octagon -- he's undefeated with three first round finishes that have lasted little more than three minutes combined. Can Carwin continue to dominate the competition with his real-world responsibilities or does he need to focus on training 100 percent to topple Lesnar?

Guess the HW division isnt as deep as so many seem to say…..Who has Carwin Beaten?Wellisch and Gonzaga???!!!!Seriously…..

by ItsCalledMMAnotUFC on Aug 20, 2009 11:24 PM EDT up reply actions

Exactly…yet Carwin fighting for the UFC is acceptable…but Fedor vs. Grim, who has the same undefeated record, and has only 1 significant win over a top opponent just like Carwin does gets Bashed. Keep sucking UFC cock, you puppets! lol FYI: Grim’s only 1 impressive win is more impressive then Carwins only big win!

Carwin vs. Brock is the only legit heavyweight title fight(if you call 2 fighters with 15 fights under their belt combined is legit hahahaha) that the UFC has to offer anyway. Weak ass HW division. So enjoy this fight will it lasts folks. its the last of the Mohicans!

haha, I like your anti-UFC style giovanni..

by RoBerto on Aug 21, 2009 1:22 AM EDT up reply actions

On the other hand, if the UFC heavyweight division is that weak, then what does that say about Fedor, who has apparently decided that he couldn’t hack it in the UFC?

Dude’s a bigger pussy than any of us ever realized, obviously.

by TheIlluminati on Aug 21, 2009 1:35 AM EDT up reply actions

I still think Anderson Silva can take out either of those guys before he gets takendown… Silva should fight for the heavyweight title if he doesn’t fight for the 205lb title because of Machida.

by THORAZINE on Aug 21, 2009 2:34 AM EDT up reply actions

no he shouldn’t, even if he’d win it would be wrong..

john is right, the ufc heavyweight division sucks and always has. FEDOR IS KING!!!!!

by tiko on Aug 21, 2009 3:37 AM EDT up reply actions

Just the FACT that Fedor even bothered to fight Hong Kong Choi made him lose all credibility in my eyes.

And now he’s in a non-MMA sparring exhibition match with Mousasi. Whoopee! (Note: the only reason I’m taping the M-1 event is because of that match, so at the very least it tells you the match was intended — and effectively so — to bring in viewers!)

You’re such a hater John. While I don’t believe Carwin deserves a title shot, it’s idiotic to say Strikeforce’s heavyweight division is even close to the UFC’s. After Fedor, Grim and maybe Werdum……nothing. I’m not including a roided up Overeem. UFC has Brock, Randy, Nog, Cain, Shane, Junior, Crocop…..etc. Keep trying though John…it’s fun watching you defend daddy Fedor.

by HamishCampbell on Aug 21, 2009 10:39 AM EDT up reply actions

That’s amazing John. How can you have your head up Fedor’s ass and your mouth on his balls at the same time?

by PW on Aug 21, 2009 11:38 AM EDT up reply actions

we talk as if fedor was looking strictly at competitioon which we all no isnt tru…
additionally im getting sick of people following ufc marketing strategy and putting brock in the same level as fedor…..i no brock is good and big and explosive…. but he makes alot of mistakes and he would not be ready for fedor…..
randy gave him a good fight, and he is 1for1 wid mir, who i still think can tap him again….
his record is shit basically…. give him some old washed up pride guys make him prove himself….cro crop…. nog…or just randy beat him in the rematch…..just isnt fedor level yet….. and obviously the ufc is given him small fights so he can hold the belt long and gain legitimacy

He is 11-0 and has beat EVERY opponent in the 1st round. Pretty impressive!

by Derek on Aug 20, 2009 11:43 PM EDT up reply actions

Let me ask you something. Have you looked at the people that Carwin has faced? His most notable win is against Gonzaga. The rest have been cans. If Brock had faced the competition that Carwin had, he probably would have ended them all in the first round as well. This is not to say that Carwin isn’t a threat to Lesnar. I am just saying that it is easy to compile an 11-0 record when you have been fighting low level competition. I think the biggest threats to Lesnar are Carwin, Fedor, and Couture. (I think Couture was doing very well against Lesnar prior to that punch and it could have gone either way. Would LOVE to see a rematch)

by RyanHobbs on Aug 21, 2009 1:09 AM EDT up reply actions

who said its deep? only wwe guys on here…fart!!!

by gaara on Aug 22, 2009 1:23 AM EDT up reply actions

hijack! where are all the geniuses saying that fedor wouldnt make it in the ufc? lol… lets look at the last few title fights in the HW division… mir, please… nog, been there, crushed that, twice might i add… grandpa couture, please, he might throw his hip out walking to the cage in a few weeks… now carwin? come on! there is really only one man in the ufc that might be able to take fedor, and thats lesnar, this next title fight is just proof of how weak the division is!

by brendan on Aug 20, 2009 11:28 PM EDT up reply actions

The HW division is still lacks depth, but has improved a little over the last year. I like Carwin and acknowledge he’s dangerous, but agree his resume doesn’t scream out #1 contender. Lesnar needs an opponent, and although I do believe Carwin poses real threat, it’s also true Carwin gets the nod almost by default.

by CL on Aug 20, 2009 11:41 PM EDT up reply actions

brendan . . . thank fedor for making things this way. Its his fault youll see these upcoming HVWT bouts. And ths HVWT division fedors in is really bad *ss huh LMAO!!! FEDOR = T00L

by ( (Adam G) ) on Aug 21, 2009 12:01 AM EDT up reply actions

so you dont think that werdum or overeem could take mir? nog? couture? carwin? really? because i could see either one of them beating any one of those guys

by brendan on Aug 21, 2009 12:03 AM EDT up reply actions

no, all those fights could go either way. I dont see werdum having a chance against any of them to be honest. The UFC also has their own “Overeem” lately in Cain, the UFC also has GG, it also has Cro Cop, it also has Eilers, Herring, Dos Santos, Hardonk, etc, and add Couture (old man, you’re just retarded), Mir, Nog, Carwin, and the biggest GEM of them all in Lesnar. Oh and the TUF season of all HVWTs coming up including Kimbo (not impressive) Slice, several NFL GIANTS, an IFL Champion, and Wes Simms (who sucks but still adds to my list). Show me the Strikeforce roster that matches that. And werdum didnt become a UFC champ because . . . because why, cause he CAN beat all those guys, no he couldnt cut it and the UFC found his fights and style lackluster, no belt for you! Overem neds to fight someone worth a damn, come on man are you serious, would he beat this guy or that guy or this guy or that guy . . . HOW ABOUT AGAINST THE CHAMP SUCKA, BROCK WOULD EAT HIM UP LIKE A DOG ON SOME STEAK SCRAPPS!!!! BESIDES!!! What does that have to do with FEDOR being the reason you have to watch all these piss poor fights takes place in either org??? Its not any of these fighters faults, not the UFCs fault, not anyones fault but fedor, his best chance to wear ufc gold has come and gone Randy “too old” Couture, beat this guy that guy whatever, come on, BEAT LESNAR!!!!

by ( (Adam G) ) on Aug 21, 2009 12:21 AM EDT up reply actions

OK, I’ll bite Adam. How the hell is Cain the UFC’s version of Overeem? One is an excellent kickboxer and the other is a wrestler. They are completely different fighters.

by Jeremyjackson on Aug 21, 2009 12:31 AM EDT up reply actions

not in fight styles, just as an upandcomer who hasnt faughtin ANYONE important but has a name out there, to me for no real reason. Nothing to do with them being exactly the same dude, we dont have to break down every aspect of their lives and what kind of cereal they eat. they are presented as top fighters when neither are in the top ten world rankings. thats all. = the UFCs version of an Overeem.

by ( (Adam G) ) on Aug 21, 2009 12:40 AM EDT up reply actions

they both suck, theres a comparison for you in ways they ARE alike = )

by ( (Adam G) ) on Aug 21, 2009 12:42 AM EDT up reply actions

except cain is waaaaaaaay down on the list of top (real top world class) fighters regarless if hes next to next in line for a shot, thats how the deck worked out with that HVWT tournament the ufc just put on betwen lesnar/nog/couture/mir, other guys have to get their shots, so hes waaaaaay down there in reality, Overeem sucks and hes there top dawg, numero uno, what does that say about the strikeforce HVWT roster. I wouldnt claim fedor a strikforcer yet, at his rate, strikeforce will be out of business next septemeber give or take leaving fedor a ufc fighter basicaly, in time, time he’ll only fight strikeforce cans in.

by ( (Adam G) ) on Aug 21, 2009 12:47 AM EDT up reply actions

Eilers died last year, how is he relevant in the UFC’s HW division?

by stephen on Aug 21, 2009 1:35 AM EDT up reply actions

Overeem has 41 pro fights, Cain has six. That’s how many high-level pro kickboxing bouts Overeem has. I’d like to see how long Cain would last in a K-1 bout with Badr Hari or Remy Bonjasky. I think I understand what you’re saying (that both are overrated?), but it’s still a very strange comparison.

by Jeremyjackson on Aug 21, 2009 1:39 AM EDT up reply actions

Yeah Adam, Overeem is an up and commer. Great knowledge of the sport that you have. Just so you know, when a fighter has more wins and losses in his record than the number of fights that YOU have seen, it means that you haven’t seen his entire career. Yeah Overeem fought Crocop, Liddell, Shogun, Buentello, Hunt, Arona, Nog, Belfort…some, he won, some he lost. But that experience does account for something….“he’s an up and commer”. LMFAO

FYI:
–Fedor isn’t a guy who came up in Affliction
–Anderson Silva has lost a fight..to Ryo Chonan. Yes the Ryo Chonan that did poorly in the UFC.
–Wanderlei Silva IS one of the greatest of ALL time. Even though he is 1–3 in his RETURN to the UFC. yeah he fought in the UFC before 2007 (when you obviously got into MMA

BTW, werdum and Cro Cop got raped in the UFC.
Fedor couldn’t finish Cro Cop with his “god like” ground skills that he had in his Pride days. :P

I hope the Grim KOs fedor soon. :)

adam g isnt eilers dead ? r.i.p

by bigggg dowg on Aug 21, 2009 5:10 AM EDT up reply actions

im going to side with my G, adamG!!

his main point above is that the ufc has a better hw division than any mma promotion out there..

he may have bashed on fedor a little, and justin eilers is 100% dead, but that doesn’t take too much away from his MAIN POINT! is he wrong??

ufc~

Carwin Shane
Couture Randy
Cro Cop Mirko
Dos Santos Junior
Gonzaga Gabriel
Hardonk Antoni
Herring Heath
Kongo Cheick
Lesnar Brock
Mir frank
Nogueira Antonio Rodrigo
Velasquez Cain
just yvel[?]
paul buentello[?]

strikeforce~
 fedor
werdum
overeem
grim

easy choice~

fedor situation imo~[last time i talk fedor and ufc]

i personally think fedor is numero uno!~ but at the sametime i feel it was a very bad choice to sign strikeforce..

fedor would have got more money, american promotion, challenging fights and the wroks!

his reason is cross-promo? thats a focking joke!

he could wear m-1 gear from head to toe! and i gaurantee m-1 would still get more money without a cross-promo with the ufc, than he will get from going 50/50 with strikeforce..

i love fedor, but feel his status might drop if he doesn’t hold a ufc title at some point~

i just wan’t to wake up and have the best hw fighter, fight in the best mma promotion..

i have NO problem with having smaller org aka other options, but those leauges are meant for the up and comers NOT the king of the hw division..

BUT at the end of the day, the only good thing is at least i get to see fedor fight in the states!

thats it!~

by ricky~dooby on Aug 21, 2009 7:48 AM EDT up reply actions

money hungry greedy bastards. don’t let this economic crisis cause u to commit a ‘deadly’ sin = greed!!! why is it always about the money with dana white and his ufc nuthuggers?! if it were about the money we would have got osama bin laden years ago, 25 million to give up one guy. although money is numero uno in most americans daily life, it isn’t the same for the rest of this big, populated world. men the caliber of fedor could give 2 shits about dana’s money, actually not even dana’s money but the fertitta’s. if fedor and his mgmt. could ever get dana to sack up and go to russia they could just take his money from him, like taking candy from a small child. and if dana thinks he’s above that happening to him, he just needs to ask the owner/ceo of Yukos oil, if dana can find out which gulag he’s in.

by Silo on Aug 21, 2009 10:09 AM EDT up reply actions

Carwin could have fists like Cock-Knocker from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, but it won’t matter. He’s too slow and dumpy. Brock is going to tool him, and all the Brock-haters will have three or four more months of crying and trying to figure out who will beat him.

by PW on Aug 21, 2009 10:22 AM EDT up reply actions

good great fine should go down fast no chance for carwin

Brock will win convincingly I believe – I’m not sold on Carwin yet. If he fought Gonzaga again, Gabe would finish him and I do believe that GG and Cro Cop are Brock’s only legitimate threats in the UFC.

How will Carwin handle the hype and spotlight? It’s one thing to be relatively inexperienced. It’s something way beyond that to be both inexperienced and fighting on the biggest stage, no matter how much talent and potential he has. Next question….can Carwin maintain some distance and land a power shot on Lesnar’s grill? How will Lesnar respond? Even though this fight is happening too soon IMO, it is both exciting and will generate massive PPV buys.

by CL on Aug 20, 2009 11:03 PM EDT up reply actions

so listen, Brock’s wins over Mir and Herring says nothing.. Cro Cop is better than both of those guys, and he could very well give Brock problems we don’t know

by RoBerto on Aug 20, 2009 11:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah…. Gonzaga took down Cro Cop, then took is head off when it got back on its feet.

Brock would paralyze Cro Cop. He’s the same size as Randy, but with zero wrestling.

That said, I’ll be pulling for Carwin, but predicting Lesnar.

by Miketsi on Aug 20, 2009 11:40 PM EDT up reply actions

probably, i’m not saying he wouldn’t but Brock is still relatively untested.. we don’t even know if Brock would beat Gonzaga, cause he is better than Mir and Herring too.

by TaPouT on Aug 20, 2009 10:56 PM EDT reply actions

At least Carwin’s got a puncher’s chance. He might just have enough size and strength to keep Lesnar from smothering him in time to land a blow that rocks him.
Either way, I’m gonna pay to watch that fight go down.

by split decision on Aug 20, 2009 11:05 PM EDT reply actions

he does have more than a punchers chance, his size and wrestling is good and his boxing isn’t good but a little bit better than Brock’s..

I mean how much can you train in a day? 4-5 hours max without over-training? It makes sense that he has time to hold down a full time job. He is just a work horse and he probably likes his job, plus its steady pay with good benefits which tops anything MMA can offer

by EazyEismydad on Aug 20, 2009 11:07 PM EDT reply actions

He needs to quit his day job, at least for the forseeable future. Being a champion requires 100% focus as well as time. He can fall back on the engineering gig when his career is over. He is already 34, and guys his size usually start to slow down bigtime in their late 30s.

by Jeremyjackson on Aug 20, 2009 11:14 PM EDT up reply actions

by ThiagO on Aug 20, 2009 11:16 PM EDT reply actions

I can’t figure out why everyone isn’t sold on Carwin. He wins definitively against EVERY opponent he has faced. Most were so quick, they were laughable.

Brock has 5 fights to his name (yes, only 5):
Min Soo Kim…..LMFAO
Mir 1= EPIC FAIL
Heather “Born to lose” Herring: Dont get me started on him
Randy Couture: undersized, old, 1 year of ring rust, and hit to the back of the head
Mir 2= A case study in lay and gay, still didn’t see the technique everyone is talking about, just size and speed that he was born with.

Against Carwin, Lesner wont have the size and strength advantage and will STILL have less experience.

So why are people sold on Lesner and not on Carwin again?

And BTW, Crocop will knock Lesner’s f***ing head off, he has never been hit like Crocop can hit…it will be a vulgar display of Crocop’s power.

by Striker Dave on Aug 20, 2009 11:16 PM EDT reply actions

You bring up some good points. I mean, Randy was looking alright until he got hit to the back of the head. But hey…It happens.

I like Carwin in this fight, I know he hasn’t fought the competition that Brock has, but Carwin has destroyed everyone. His longest fight is less than 3 minutes long. This guy hits HARD. Lesnar may take him down, but I think that he’ll be able to get back up. Didn’t Gonzaga have him mounted before he got up and dropped him? I also believe that he is working with Greg Jackson which can’t hurt. They’ll come up with a decent game plan. I could be dead wrong, but I’ve got Carwin on this. I don’t think Brock’s been tested like this before.

by Shadyone33 on Aug 21, 2009 12:24 AM EDT up reply actions

Just like he did to GG huh = ) GG never saw those kicks coming at him . . . cro cop, power, what power??? POWER is hitting a 40-plus fight veteran guy square and watching his 250 lbs of body roll across the ring like a rag doll. show me when cro did that, show me when hes done anything beside look like a girl against fedor and getting his head kicked into the stands by a guy with no kicks in his backround for the greatest head kick ko in MMA history. Just cause hes faughtin fedor and got his *ss kicked doesnt mean anything dude, Sobral faught fedor too but i dont think he’d have a chance against brock lol!!!

by ( (Adam G) ) on Aug 21, 2009 12:30 AM EDT up reply actions

No you’re right Adam….Crocop has had a terrible career. Forget that he gave Fedor the worst beating of his career, is the most dominant striker EVER, won the OWGP against a few mega badasses, is a head kick highlight real, and made a living taking on the worst terrorists in eastern Europe head-to-head. No you’re right, the one GG fight undid all that. Crocop can’t beat anyone. Yeah, his fight against Waterman isnt a blueprint on how to beat an oversized, fast wrestler, either.

Yep.The GG fight and the Kongo fight (where he broke his rib in the first round yet fished the fight against a monster of a man like Kongo) means he can’t beat anyone.

Sorry he hasn’t had any head kicks in the UFC, because the UFC is the only place where fights count.

I stand corrected.

“POWER is hitting a 40-plus fight veteran guy square and watching his 250 lbs of body roll across the ring like a rag doll.”

Do do mean like what he did to Wanderlei Silva? (who was heavier than Crocop in that fight…he opened a vagina on Wanderlei Silva’s head. And before you start, just because Wanderlei is 1–3 in his return to the UFC, he’s is still on of the greatest OF ALLTIME…YOU just missed it new fish.

Are you really trying to say that Crocop doesn’t have KO power…..F***ING REALLY?!?! His career didn’t start in the UFC you know?

CROCOP is the definition of KO power.

Has LESNER KO’d anyone? Not TKO’d via Ground and pound but a straight KTFO? Anyone, and FYI, the WWE doesn’t count.

I laugh at some of these comments. People say Carwin hasn’t fought anyone. Will somebody tell me who Brock has fought that is so good? He got beat the first time by Mir and got lucky when he took A 44 Year old Randy out and Randy was holding his own for a guy who was out weighed by 70 LBS. People act like this guy is so great. I don’t think Brock has been tested and he will come this next fight.

So when Brock beats Carwin can we throw this size thing out the window….

by texasboy on Aug 21, 2009 2:42 AM EDT reply actions

this has the makings to turn into a real slugfest. everyone thinks Lesnar will get the takedown pretty fast, but i dont think he will get Carwin’s ass on that mat as easy or often as folks say. As such it should result in some pretty scrappy and grueling stand up. Anyway, Carwin needs to let go of his day job pronto if he ever wants to max out his potential. Plus it’s gotta be a lil embarassing to the UFC for their #1 contender to be a public works employee. Maybe mania can start a “2 week notice” letter writing campaign to his employer.

by naturalist on Aug 21, 2009 2:53 AM EDT reply actions

When he has KO every fighter in the first round the only peaple that might be embarassed is his opponent that he might have a job but it’s my understanding he likes his Job and consiseders it theraputic or some sh^t. Being an engineer you know he’s smarter than the average bear. Brock will take him down and we will see how good Carwin can really be.

by Puck Head on Aug 21, 2009 10:02 AM EDT up reply actions

Brock will win. . rematch with Randy would be ace. . . . FEDOR = SELL OUT, prob didnt want to get his ass handed to him. .

Now Brock v MEGATRON now thats a fight ha ha

FEDOR is the bigest loser he had a chance to be the best now what mabey he will get lucky now and go to the wwe after strikeforce lol

by pedigree on Aug 21, 2009 9:32 AM EDT reply actions

after Fedor cleans out the SF HW div on national TV , he will have an even larger fan base and can demand more from ZUFFA. His SF contract is only 1 year. Vadim and Dana will be back at the table next summer.

Bah, I wanted to see Carwin crush “brown pride” so bad.

I guess “brown pride” will fight another can then to pad his record some more.

by Lester The Pimp on Aug 21, 2009 9:34 AM EDT reply actions

my boy carwin is gonna smoke brock. he walked through his ufc fights so far. when he fought gonzaga he had his nose completely shattered and still got up enough heart and strengh the finish the fight in devastating fashion. Dude had to get recontructive surgery give him a chance and stop hugging brocks little marble sack. Plus who else has a chance against brock….couture hahahaha please

by ChanceIt on Aug 21, 2009 9:42 AM EDT reply actions

cris cyborg has a better chance than most of the hw in the ufc.. :-)

by shamo84 on Aug 21, 2009 10:32 AM EDT up reply actions

I believe that Carwin vs. Lesnar is going to be a mildly-paced fight made up of back and forth attempts at outwrestling one another. I believe that we will see quite a bit of stand-up while this fight lasts since neither fighter will be strong enough to overpower their opponent (how often can you say that when talking about Carwin and Lesnar)

Perhpas Lesnar has more trophys in his wrestling case but this is MMA and Carwin’s wrestling in definitely top level as well, and definitely enough to neutralize Brock’s ability. Let us not forget that Carwin comes in on fight night between 280-285 as well, and as a former power lifter, he easily matches the strength level of Lesnar and is perhaps stronger in some areas.

My prediction is that this fight lasts a little longer but not much than Carwin vs. Gonzaga, but in the end, I see Carwin via referee stoppage late rd 2.

by JP, Jr. on Aug 21, 2009 10:00 AM EDT reply actions

FIRST OFF CARWIN IN GONNA GET KILLED.. HE HASNT FOUGHT ANYONE AND GONZAGA ALMOST KNCOKED HIM OUT… the same guy that coutoure manhandled… brock is the realest heavyweight in ufc… CHANCEIT u r totaly wrong carwin almost lost to gonzaga.. cain velasquez ground and pound is PATHETIC imagine if FEDOR was on top of Kongo.. for all u fedor haters just think of that… Most of u guys on this board dont know shit about mma.. CHANCeit ur a moron COUToure is still the second best heavyweight in UFC

by zack on Aug 21, 2009 10:20 AM EDT reply actions

randy got wobbled after a headkick and it took carwin over 10 minutes faster to finish gonzaga than couture you are an idiot

by Jared on Aug 21, 2009 12:38 PM EDT up reply actions

sorry, carwin was not almost knocked out nor was he knocked down. The only reason he went down was cause Gabe executed a very nice trip while holding one of shane’s legs. Lesnar will be very cautious against Shane because his punching power is greater than Lesnar’s.

by naturalist on Aug 21, 2009 1:57 PM EDT up reply actions

EXACTLY WHEN BROCK BEATS CARWIN CAN WE THROW SIZE OUT THE WINDOW.. ALL U BROCK HATERS GO FUCK URSELF.. WHO HAS CARWIN FOUGHT U IDIOTS GONZAGA? HAHAHAHAHAH BROCK BEAT THREE FORMER NUMBER 1 FIGHTERS.. PEOPLE FORGET THAT CRAZY HORSE WAS IN THE TITLE MATCH AGAINST AN UNKNOW FEDOR.. U FUCKIN MORONS AHAHAHAH @ HOW DUMB U GUYS R… PS RANDY IS THE ONLY MAN TO GET UP FROM BROCK LESNAR AND ACTUALLY HOLD BROCK AGAINST THE CAGE U FUCKIN IDIOTS DONT EVEN REALIZE HOE SICK RANDY COUTOURE IS U FUCKIN MORONS!!

by zack on Aug 21, 2009 10:23 AM EDT reply actions

Brock never fought anyone at his size and Carwin seems the one, Brock only fought smaller guys so it’s no suprise he could easily overpower Coture, Mir, Herring. Herring and Mir are former #1 fighters? what are you talking about Herring is decent Mir is still behind the top 5. yea Brock is a beast but it doesn’t mean he’s the best he’s only gone thru 4 fights and you rantin a big deal out of Brock already? Carwin has bigger fists than Brock and his glove size is xxxxl while Brock has xxxl and heavier hands will deliver more puching power as you see Carwin ko Gonzaga without throwing much force in those punches. i don’t mind Brock wins either but i’d rather want Carwin ko him out and give him a reality check and we’ll a much more hungry and crazier Brock afterwards.

by Texican on Aug 21, 2009 11:23 AM EDT up reply actions

damn adam i have never seen anybody get as embaressed in one post as much as u have by striker

by bigsmoke on Aug 21, 2009 1:12 PM EDT reply actions

first off what the fuck does hand size have to do with power.. power is speed and snap u moron u clearly dont fight… secondly carwin has knockout power.. thats how he beat gonzaga im not doubting that. and to the idiot that said he finished gonzaga faster than coutoure did .. that doesnt really matter when randy beat the shit out of gonzaga for 5 rounds or howveer long it went that head kick never hurt him he ate it.. randy never got hurt so what r u talkin about watch the fight again.. BUT CARWIN DID GET HURT !!!! and brock beat all heavyweights that were champions or contenders at one point.. brock is gonna beat carwin beacause he has more speed skill and power

by zack on Aug 21, 2009 1:41 PM EDT reply actions

zack…………just to let u know herring never fought fedor in a title fight….that was fedors second fight in pride and he hadnt fought nog for the title yet…….and fyi herring has never been in a #1 spot in the ufc and technically brock has never beat a #1 guy and will never until he fights fedor

by bigsmoke on Aug 21, 2009 3:43 PM EDT reply actions

u know what u may be right but i will check my dvds.. however heathe herring was a contender if it wasnt for the belt it was for number one contender.. yea but brock has never beat a number guy? FYI so when he beat Randy for the real Heavyweight belt u say Randy wasnt a number 1 fighter. Fedor is the consensus number 1 heavyweight we all know it but we just have to compare UFC fighters with UFC fighters since they do not fight everyone else in other organizations. So then we should stop calling anderson or gsp best pound for pound until they fight fedor.. which will never happen.

by zack on Aug 21, 2009 4:18 PM EDT reply actions

and to reply for somethin earlier.. u gotta have respect for cro cop the man was and is a beast i dont know what it is but the ufc must have a jinx..lolol all the best fighter and fights happened in pride get on ur history.. honestly i think the fact that some fighters can bounce around the ropes and use movement helps so maybe that y cro cop hasnt done good but whatever u still gotta respect guys like him and ofcourse WANDERLEI just because of how dominating they r

by zack on Aug 21, 2009 4:43 PM EDT reply actions

brock will kill carwin not even close brock is dominating havent you fn haterz realized this yet get a fn clue jackasses!
