That host as an annnooyyying voice. Hard to watch this show because the way he talks. Makes me feel uncomfertable.

I lost so much money.
I just dropped my entire roll on Torres out of anger. Probably not the best way to bet, but I’m hoping I have my money back an then some by the end of this evening.

Definitely not Punch. But he will win so that should be a little consolation. I lost big on a parlay that had big value on Doomsday thanks to fn Thales deciding to stand and bang like an fn moron. He’s never done that in his career. But now he’s gone sherk on us because of one bad performance!

Yeah, I had weird feelings that I shouldn’t bet on this one but I didn’t listen to them. I think John probably took a worse beating than I did.
Sucks about Thales. I actually didn’t have money on that fight thankfully.

man i coulda told you to stay away from leites, he didnt look in very good shape at the weigh ins, he didnt look at all motivated to be fighting, leites is a big baby who cruised his way to a title shot and is way overrated

yeaah, Forza ROMA! So glad Alessio won!.. Leites can’t fight for sh*t, Im glad a real fighter won..

Great night, Andy smashed Forrest and Leites lost to Sakars, just deserts for Thales’ pathetic display at 97. I had Leites winning because of his superior ground skills but what an absolute idiot, sounds like he put on another awful display and hopefully is on his way out.

I think we’re all profoundly stirred by AS domination of Forrest, I’ve never seen anything like it.
At this point there is no reason to put scrubs in front of this guy again I say throw the following at him
GSP (catchweight)
then permanent move to HW
Rampage
Evans
Hell if hell freezes over and you sign Fedor, do a catchweight fight with him.
by kibbled_bits on Aug 9, 2009 10:49 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I wouldn’t throw anymore strikers his way. He will destroy Rampage and Evans. GSP (why not see what happens). After that, only LHW wrestlers.
by Punch You in the Ovaries on Aug 9, 2009 1:04 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
That GSP fight at catchweight is not going to happen b/c A.Silva is not going to drop down from his original weight class to fight him. If GSP wants him, make him move up in weight.

Does this video mess up at the beginning or is it me. Seems like a really badly editted clips.

Kibbled_bits… Well, what about Dan Henderson? Last time, he lost by a mistake (and supposely a bad weight-cut). I whant to see that rematch so bad. Dan has a chin like no other fighter and has great wrestling and striking.
by Peter on Aug 9, 2009 10:58 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I think Hendo deserves the rematch. They could fight tomorrow if Dana would get moving. Neither one have a scratch on them and I don’t want to wait 4 friggin months to see Anderson fight again. There was talk between dana and anderson’s camp of him moving permanently to 205 and even vacating the mw belt. How funny would it be if Rich Franklin decided to go back down to 185 and try and get his belt back?
by Adam T. on Aug 9, 2009 11:07 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Dana did say that depending on the outcome of Silva/Griffin, meaning damage taken, Anderson could defend his mw belt against hendo very soon. We all know how Silva/Griffin went now. With that in mind, I wouldn’t be surprised and I think it would be a great move to put that fight on the October card with Lyoto/Shogun. The rest of the fights on that card on just decent so this would be a needed addition and there is no doubt that both fighters will be ready by then.

STIRRED BY THE PERFORMANCE? hell no. Anderson is best mma fighter on the planet, this was a slaughter srom the signing.
KENNY!!!! YOU SUCK! i cant believe stephan bonnar likes his gameplan! he pushed him p against the cage for 3 rounds then got choked out. what is it with delagrotti and G.Jacksons fighter simply refusing to fight their opponents?
Thank god for fighters like BJ and Anderson showing these younger fighters that it pays to JUST SCRAP!!!

Only Lyoto Machida could stand and exchange with Anderson. There isn’t another mma fighter in the world that could avoid getting knocked out by Anderson. Forget Fedor vs. Brock. I want to see Fedor vs. either Machida or Anderson. That would be insane. The only guy that will be able to beat Anderson is someone with a granite chin, world class clinch and wrestling, top notch conditioning and brutal ground and pound. Only Fedor comes to mind for me when taking into account all of those criteria.
by Adam T. on Aug 9, 2009 11:11 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Hendo pretty much has all of that, but i don’t think he will win the rematch.
by Lester The Pimp on Aug 9, 2009 11:33 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I don’t agree that Hendo has the conditioning or the Ground and Pound. All he could do was hold anderson down for the first round of their first fight. You’ve got to be able to damage him. Maybe Hendo just is big enough and strong enough to hold Anderson down AND inflict hard shots on him. There is know way that Hendo could lay and pray on Anderson for five rounds. The bright side is that Hendo will be difficult to knock out (although it will happen) and he will definitely go down swinging with no fear.

yeah man we where saying same last night when watching it, fedor vs AS be an insane fight. just watched the post fight interviews and they brought machida up and as soon as anderson heard machidas name he was shaking his head goin nooooo, and went on to say machida would prove a serious problem for him. tho dana then did say he would make it happen.
by CoN'r on Aug 9, 2009 11:45 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Dana will make that fight happen with Machida happen. Anderson is always super respectful in talking about his opponents, even though he destroys all of them. Of course he is going to pay much respect to his good friend Lyoto.

I was shocked at Anderson lowering his hands. His head movement was amazing to say the least.I agree with Randy.A really good wrestler might be the only one to give Anderson any problems.Striking isnt the way to go,lol

any one have a pic of Anderson’s face while getting booed it was hilarious.
by dennis on Aug 9, 2009 11:35 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
did not expect forrest to go out like that!! Silva is the man , fedor would get smashed , fedor is an overrated piece of crap !! My thoughts were if forrest fights silva like he did rampage he could pull of a decision, but anderson schooled him made him look simply silly
by TheDragon on Aug 9, 2009 11:42 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
That’s right Dragon and he would do the same to Rampage, it just might take a couple more shots (all of five more seconds) to finish the strong chin of Rampage. That fight made Rich Franklin look good. Franklin looked bad against Anderson while Forrest looked downright embarassing against him.

dragon…fedor is NOT over rated..relax a little bit.

Whats up with Couture(rnd 3), Bonner(rnd 2 and fight thru 3) and Peligrino (SOME rounds) saying “Huggy-flo” won rounds. Can you mugs be any more BIASED towards your buddy “Huggy-flo”.
What exactly did Huggy-flo do each round, except HUG Penn against the cage and throw an occasional leg kick, to win rounds????
The host had it right, BJ won ALL rounds. BJ rocked huggy-flo several times throughout the fight, had all the power shots, more strikes, dominiated the stand-up, stuffed all of huggy-flo’s pathetic takedown attempts, slammed huggy to the mat hard and embarrassed whoever gave huggy-flo his Blackbelt in JJ.

I agree. BJ pretty much won all the exchanges. It was funny that Bonnar said BJ “stole” the 1st round in the last 10 seconds when Kenny got knocked down 30 seconds into the fight.
Kenny’s a great fighter. I don’t fault his plan. He was hoping to gas BJ and take the later rounds. The irony was that Kenny ended up gasing himself. He ate a lot of punches going for those take downs and it just took its toll.

I am still shocked at how fast Griffin left the arena! Silva did an amazing job and he will be at the top for a long time.

Nice to see Kenny “I finish fights” getting finished by BJ.
