Before [my fight with Roger Huerta], I was pretty sick. I had something wrong with my stomach. I had to run to the bathroom a few times before my fight in between warm-ups. That was pretty scary and nerve-racking before a fight. I've never been in that position before. I had to do my best to control myself. The first two rounds, it felt like I had to save my energy and not exert myself or I would lose control of my stomach. Then in the third round, I started to relax and it was my strongest round. I definitely did not want (a Tim Sylvia vs. Assuerio Silva situation) to happen.
UFC lightweight number one contender Kenny Florian shares a funny story with the Philadelphia City Paper regarding last year's unanimous decision win over Roger Huerta at UFC 87. Fans who said he had a case of 'the runs' for his elusive style during the fight probably didn't know the half of it. Will "KenFlo" be able to stomach a five rounder against BJ Penn at UFC 101 on August 8? Or will "The Prodigy" come out and 'wipe' the floor with him? Predictions please...
