I think I missed something regarding BJ…

Did he move his camp to Cali? I missed the info that he is not in Hilo getting ready for Kenny.

Hmm… makes me wonder.

Somebody confirm?

just went to betus, a BJ/silva parlay for the max 500 pays 422, pretty good odds if you ask me!

by kevin on Jul 29, 2009 11:35 AM EDT up reply actions

Those odds are pretty decent. Maybe chuck Thales in too.

For 500 that would pay about 740ish. I reckon it’s tempting; not that I have that kind of money to bet. I might stick 50 on it.

by RobH86 on Jul 29, 2009 11:59 AM EDT up reply actions

Just checked it. 500 pays 686 on BetUS.

by RobH86 on Jul 29, 2009 12:03 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m not sold on BJ until I see him at the weigh ins. Kenny is coming focused, no doubts about it. I hope all the late money comes in on BJ because Kenny at +200 I can not pass up.

RobH, Leites is the lock of the night on the card, I got him parlayed already. Too bad 2 of the fights on that parlay were on the Affliction card, so now that parlay is simply Thales and Cyborg.

Close to even money on Anderson and BJ is pretty darn good odds though if you ask me, but adding Thales to it makes it a bettors bet – if you are sold on BJ. I have been sold for years and years, however that GSP loss was VERY demoralizing to BJ Penn.

by ViolentMike on Jul 29, 2009 12:05 PM EDT up reply actions

I like sakara in that one though! i think I’m gonna do 500 on bj strt
500 on silva strt and the parlay. It’s very risky, but I’m comfortable, and if silva looses, bet another 500 (under 2nd screen name) on bj!

by kevin on Jul 29, 2009 12:08 PM EDT up reply actions

exactly Mike, the GSP fight makes BJ the lock of the night!

by kevin on Jul 29, 2009 12:11 PM EDT up reply actions

VM: I guarentee that BJ will be in the best shape of his life and he is going to impressively FINISH Kenny Florian. THere isnt a single doubt in my mind!

by JOhn G on Jul 29, 2009 12:14 PM EDT up reply actions

john i thank you a lot for saying bj will win, makes me not feel like a dumbass saying it myself

by randy murders on Jul 29, 2009 12:24 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree with VM… I need to see BJ at the weigh ins
and see where his head / fitness is at. GSP was a demoralizing loss.

Don’t sleep on K-Flo. I know that if BJ gets in his face he will still be there the whole fight.
If BJ faces adversity than we will have to see him dig deeper then he did against Matt Hughes (the last time) and GSP recently. Sometimes on his back his expression looks like he’s already lost. Kenny will throw bows of his back.

JOhn G – do you have any more info on Bahna moving to ATT? Love the camp and Cane -love to know more.

by Big Zino on Jul 29, 2009 12:27 PM EDT up reply actions

John the Bahna news was announced last week!

Got a link to anything Alpha?

by Big Zino on Jul 29, 2009 1:39 PM EDT up reply actions

I thought John went on and on about how Banha and T.Silva hated each other. If thats correct, why would ATT accept Banha? Doesn’t make sense to me.

by Synyster on Jul 29, 2009 2:10 PM EDT up reply actions

Thanks Alpha!

Thats a deep pool of talent at ATT. I always knew, but now I know. (go through the fighters listing)

Too bad. I don’t care about the match up for T.Silva vs Cane, but I am sorry this hurts my chances of Gouveia
and Bahna throwing down.

I’d like to see Lashley and the Snowman grapple.

by Big Zino on Jul 29, 2009 2:22 PM EDT up reply actions

Synyster,

They did hate each other but have chose to squash the beef becuase they would rather train at ATT then go to a different camp. They said that still don’t like each other but are civil, and that they are in different spots in teh LHW division so they dont see themselves fighting each other anytime soon. BUT if they do get matched up Banha and Silva said it will be a good fight and they are more then willing to throw down.

by ehoglund on Jul 29, 2009 3:07 PM EDT up reply actions

NICE ehoglund. I beg to differ in the sense that they are in different spots in the LHW division. Silva being around 8 or so, and Cane being around 11 or 12. But very good to hear that they wont mind beating each other up. AKA should take notice. T.Silva is one of my favorite young guys, and although the Machida fight kind of exposed him as non-elite just yet, I love his attitude and his badass-ness.

I don’t see how Fedor beats Brock – I don’t think technique will be enough to beat Brock’s strength and power. I hope Fedor fight’s another top HW first so he can get used to the cage and the UFC in general. But they’re throwing him into the lions right off the bat.

by MikeD on Jul 29, 2009 12:01 PM EDT up reply actions

ATT, best camp in the world? I’d check that again. How many champs are from there?

by jay on Jul 29, 2009 12:03 PM EDT up reply actions

You guys keep talking like Brock’s size and power will be too much for Fedor to overcome. Have you guys forgotten that Fedor has fought Zuluzinho? LOLOLOL

The way everyone talks on this site, you’d think Brock would be the favorite in this fight rather than a 2-1 dog. I for one hope that everyone puts their money where thier mouths are and the fight odds are close to even come the night of the fight because Fedor hasn’t been even money since EVER!!!!! Fedor would make Brock look silly. If Randy could hold his own against Brock there are no doubts that Fedor will bring all the WWF fans back to reality.

People must have forgotten exactly WHO Fedor is and WHAT he has accomplished all because Brock chose to drink a Coor’s Light and get on top of his wife.

TRUST ME!

mtb – wec champ #1 featherweight
jorge santiago – mw champ for sengoku
antonio silva – elite xc champ, sengoku champ :S ionno

point is there is champs from that camp just none in the ufc. i would personally go with the majority and say greg jackson has the best camp. he has gsp holding the ww strap, carwin going to hold the hw strap, marquardt going to hold the mw strap, rashad former champ, plus cerrone, jardine, and others.

by DSmith on Jul 29, 2009 12:48 PM EDT up reply actions

VM – Just saw the Zuluzinho fight and that fat ass looked too fat to even attempt a takedown or too slow to wrap up Fedor. Brock not only has super-strength but he’s also very athletic. I think this will be Fedor’s toughest fight ever Brock is new breed.

by MikeD on Jul 29, 2009 2:08 PM EDT up reply actions

I was 99% kidding about Zuluzinho, hence the LOLOLOLOL…

by ViolentMike on Jul 29, 2009 2:49 PM EDT up reply actions

That would give Mousasi the chance to win the Hulk Touney, dominate Strikeforce’s sad LHW division for a while, and then join the UFC.

by Jeremyjackson on Jul 29, 2009 3:14 PM EDT up reply actions

All I can find on Fedor signing is the same apparently bunk LA Times report that has been picked up by numerous websites. Nothing new that I could dig up, but then I’m not privy to Johnny’s much-heralded ‘sources’, LOL.

by jay on Jul 29, 2009 11:34 AM EDT up reply actions

Yeah cause Sherk is an all-time great isn’t he. Freakin Frankie Edgar just handled him for three rounds. C’mon dude, He gasses out in most of his fights becuse he never gets in good shape.

by Calculon64 on Jul 29, 2009 12:58 PM EDT up reply actions

fedor and bj wouldn’t really “train” because fedor would prob hurt bj and that would suck before the fight.. do you think bj would go half-@ss training with fedor! hell no even i would train my self to near death with fedor!

by mikeybear on Jul 29, 2009 11:34 AM EDT up reply actions

by curly on Jul 29, 2009 11:48 AM EDT up reply actions

You must be high curly. Its funny how Mania never mentioned The Diaz bros training with BJ and you guys make it sound like BJ went out and got chummy with Fedor. This is BJ’s camp here and Fedor came to hang out. So did Belfort, Jake Sheilds, Eves Edwards and a whole lot of great MMA figthers.

by Gotta Luv Haters. on Jul 29, 2009 12:02 PM EDT up reply actions

i don’t see how bj has cardio issues? he has gassed how many times at 155? NONE you dipshits he lost to a man in gsp who hasn’t even really lost a single round in what 2 years almost 3? jesus christ get off the bj sucks bandwagon the man is gonna kill kenny florian kenny is overrated, lauzon got him down and was on top of him for awhile think bj can’t do the same but better?

by randy murders on Jul 29, 2009 12:22 PM EDT up reply actions

I would give my left nut to train with any of those three guys. Honestly its cool to see such high caliber fighters joking around with each other. I hope to see Gregard and Fedor in the UFC soon, please let Santa give me a Fedor/Brock Gregard/Lyoto match up for christmas lol.

Gegard has to at least finish out the Hulk tournament. That would mean 2010 at the earliest, but he is only 23. Pretty scary… :-\

by BNF on Jul 29, 2009 11:07 AM EDT up reply actions

yeah its very terrifying looking at these young fighters just dominating the scene. It makes you imagine what kind of sick fights we’ll be seeing 5 to 10 years from now.

by Cogito Ergo Sum on Jul 29, 2009 11:09 AM EDT up reply actions

Dustin Haze is another dude, who is only 23, and is pulling off crazy submissions too. Nick and Nate are still really young as well.

But I’ve been saying for a looong time now, Mousasi will PWN this year. Its been a bit of a late start, but he will rack up a the Strikeforce LHW belt, and then the openweight SuperFreak Championship too. I don’t think we’ll see him in the UFC for a good while, seeing as to he has to lose those belts before signing over to the UFC. I just hope Dana, who I always support, doesn’t start trashing my favorite fighter for not being in the UFC.

by Synyster on Jul 29, 2009 2:18 PM EDT up reply actions

you stole that line from tom atencio. and its simple. you take brock whos strength is ridiculous and you get him to lnp fedor for 5 rounds. if brock tried standing with fedor, it be over quick. fedor would overwhelm him with punches so fast than tap him out all before lesnar can do one of his douch ass moves. point is lesnar can beat fedor but i want the last emperor to be victorious

your right about bj, i dont see him winning more than one round against kenny, and will not be suprised to see kenny dominate and win evry single round. fedor is a completely different level than bj, opposite end of spectrum, fedor has more heart, and determination to do whatever it takes to win a fight, contrast that with bj penn, who grew up rich and spoiled with evrything handed to him, who is one of the laziest fighters, with no work ethic in mma. can anyone imagine fedor throwing in the towel between rounds? even with one arm torn of he would keep coming and find a way to win.

Although I lost respect for BJ after his BS wrt GSP, the fact that he is “chumming it up” with Fedor is good for the UFC. It’s equivalent to “wining and dining” a client.

Hopefully BJ doesn’t trick him into eating something disgusting like he did to GSP.

Fedor and BJ look exactly the same size. Wierd!

by CaptainAmerica on Jul 29, 2009 11:25 AM EDT reply actions

Yep, 2 bald, chubby mma fighters. At least BJ is man enough to fight some decent competition. Fedor hasn’t fought anyone worth talking about in 3 years.

Retarded really!?!?!?!? First of all they are two bald, chubby guys. Second who in the H has Fedor fought that could possibly prepare him to fight someone like Randy or Brock? Hong Man Choi? Oh I know it was Tim Sylvia, no not Sylvia it was Andre I have no chin Arlovski or Aoki. I don’t know man that sounds like some old ufc has-beens or have nots.

by Wes on Jul 29, 2009 11:43 AM EDT up reply actions

and what will you say when fedor is in the ufc beat all of those guys?

by Wes on Jul 29, 2009 12:36 PM EDT up reply actions

I’ll be right behind you wes if fedor comes in and beats brock and/or randy I WILL BE ON HERE SAYING THAT HE IS INDEED THE TOP HW FIGHTER, but you and i both know neither one of us will have to say that, mir would beat fedor, he stands no chance against randy and for sure won’t be able to hang with brock!! so the way i see it is if and when fedor comes to the ufc we will be the ones on here saying I TOLD YOU SO FEDOR IS A LOSER!!! then what are all the fedor lovers gonna say , i mean come on how are you guys going to justify the great fedor getting owned by a nam who only has 5 mma fights??? don’t even try to say it’s the cage casue guess what a fight is a fight whether it be a ring or the cage, and fedor has a ton of fight experience so you better come up with something new!!

by TheDragon on Jul 29, 2009 3:00 PM EDT up reply actions

fedor has great gnp so in a cage i expect it to be beter than in a ring so he can hold them against it. randy will get judo tossed if he clinches with fedor. an brock uhg i want fedor to win but god damn brock is so much bigger than fedor so it’s hard to say. Maybe an ancle lock if fedor can grab it. or if he can land a big punch and daze brock. but i’m not extreem to one side or the other on who will win like you. calling ppeople names and being so overy agresive.

Like I said, 3 ufc has-beens. Are they fighting in the UFC anymore? Where they all-time greats??? They were title holders, not champions. Like Buster Douglas. Anyone can have a couple good fights. It dosen’t make you great. And neither Sylvia or Arlovski beat anyone, but each other.

wes its really irrevelant who fedor has fought, allmost evry ufc fighter will tell you, very knowledgeable fighters, who recognize greatness, and much more qualified than you are that fedor is the best. what makes him so good is he is quick as a LW, hits wit a ton of power and his punches are dead on. HE DOESNT HAVE THE BEST TECHNICALL boxing but thats ok, he is too fast for any HW he fights, and if they are the same size as him too powerfull. HE CAN TRANSITION the fight to wherever he wants, from standup to the ground wherever he feels he has the advantage, his transition game is the best in the world, once on the ground his gnp is brutal and being one of the 2 best sombo practicioners in the world he will submitt you. in the meantime he cant be submitted. What is remarkable about him,is even though he looks pudgy , he is cat quick, and hits like a freight train with accuracy, along with transition, and the ground game, its easy to see why he is so good. You just wouldnt recognize greatness if it was right in front of you. I urge you to study some of his fights, then tell me what HW moves around like that, and can do what he does in the ring

by curly on Jul 29, 2009 12:04 PM EDT up reply actions

He is certainly many of the things that you have said. HOWEVER, he is not used to fighting the new breed of big heavywiegts like Carwin or Lesnar. I think both of these guys would blast him. They both have the skill, size, stregth and athletic prowess that he has never faced before. I would be impressed beyond belief if he beats Lesnar.I don’t see it happening.

by Rich on Jul 29, 2009 12:21 PM EDT up reply actions

i hate to admit it but wes and others make a good point. these big strong atheltic guys will be a great challenge for fedor.alot has changed with the heavy weights in the last couple years and as great as fedor is there is a point where size comes into play. crocop was great and a great win for fedor but crocop is no where near as big as some of these kids in the ufc. arlovski was at what 145? but 165 is just a whole never esspecially when a guy can punch corectly. timy is big but and a big win for fedor but who out there thinks can handle carwin ore velasquez or hell even congo or gonzga? either way i cant wait to see if fedor can live up to MY expectations haha.

I don’t think that’s true at all. His last 4 fights have been agianst the who’s-not of mma. He hasn’t fought anybody in the last few years. I think Carwin, Lesnar and Randy all have an excellent chance of beating this guy.

BJ Penn looks like a twurp.

by MMA ALALYST on Jul 29, 2009 11:54 AM EDT reply actions

I think it’s interesting to look at all the P4P greatest -

BJ/Fedor = Chubby
Silva/Machida = Skinny
GSP = Fit but not “pumped”

All the ‘roid freaks need to learn it’s not about the muscles, it’s what you do with em – Sherk spends too much time working out, not getting skills, Brock relies on size but has not fought anyone who was able to challenge him properly – Machida would beat him despite the size difference due to the perfect skill-set to counter him. Alves’ size didn’t do squat against GSP, nor did Sapp’s against Cro Cop or Hong Man Choi’s against Fedor.

Just making a point really, you look at any of the true greats and none of them look like a He-Man figure, the closest was probably Andy Hug.

Wes’ point about Fedor being small and not taking a punch seems retarded, he’s fought some huge guys with no problems – actually the smaller guys have challenged him far more. Not taking a punch? I’ve seen him shaken once by Fujita from which he recovered in seconds and he then tore him a new one, even Randleman’s head slam didn’t phase him.

by Jimrod on Jul 29, 2009 12:00 PM EDT reply actions

Fedor’s fight against Mark Hunt (another physical specimen….lol) a couple years back was pretty good to, Hunt caught him, cut him, hurt him and took him down a couple times in that fight. But as always the Last Emporer prevailed as the winner, no one in MMA can match his heart.

by Spyder on Jul 29, 2009 12:20 PM EDT up reply actions

plus i just rewatched the cro cop fight and cro cop wobbled him with a punch so to say he cant be hurt on the feet is stupid. shane carwin would knock him out

Exactly, thank you!

by Wes on Jul 29, 2009 12:39 PM EDT up reply actions

Wobbled, not knocked out, no-one in 30 fights has knocked him out – you can’t say he doesn’t take a punch when no-one has stopped him. Anyone would be wobbled by big shots to the temple, it’s how you deal with it that matters – Bob Sapp got his orbital broken by Cro Cop and cried like a baby, Heath Herring got his broken by Brock then went 3 rounds with him.

by Jimrod on Jul 29, 2009 1:22 PM EDT up reply actions

but.. if you take a heavy hitter who punches harder than say cro cop or fujita the result may not be wobbled but ko’d

by jared on Jul 29, 2009 2:26 PM EDT up reply actions

Ahh good point, never saw that fight, I know he’s had a couple of battles but as you say, shows his heart – one of those factors that can’t be trained but he has in spades.

Thats right locc old man couture even beat Tim out of the UFC! And i wouldn’t be surprised if he wins against the much younger NOG. The old man still has smarts but his biggest weakness is in the stand up wich isn’t that bad and has not been submitted since 02. Old man couture still has the ability to beat anyone on Fedors padded list of opponents.

I think even old man Randy now would put up a decent fight against Fedor I’ll wait and see how he looks against NOG before I go as far as saying he would have a chance to even win. But lesnars little experience is countered by his amazing training & work ethic along with wrestling skills and his other MMA skills will be at least twice what they were when he faced Randy! And as far a Fedor goes I think with the lack of talented opponents he would not of improved much from his Pride Day’s. Don’t get me wrong I still think he has the ability to beat Brock but I would put my money on Brock if they ever fought.

BJ BJ BJ!!!

by ( (Adam G) ) on Jul 29, 2009 1:22 PM EDT reply actions

It’s actually quite humorous how people forget about someone unless they fight 3 weeks prior. Also, nit-picking a record of 30-1-1, with the one loss coming from a cut from an illegal (but unintentional) elbow just seconds into the fight, is comical in it’s own respect. People always say “styles make fights.” That statement is true. But the only person this saying really hasn’t ever effected is Fedor. Despite style clashes that benefit his opponents, Fedor has always just won. Simple as that. He’s been taken down (a few times). He’s been rocked a few times (even fewer than taken down). All the things that to other fighters usually means a loss. In the end, he just wins. Usually, in devastating fashion, as well. No controversy. No greasegate. No early stoppage. They tap; and sometimes they just get knocked silly. Brock’s last two wins have been impressive mainly because of the names they are over. But Randy has never really done well with bigger men (plus his age and layoff were/are factors, indeed) and Mir, well, Mir has been drastically overrated during both of his runs. Logic says Fedor wins. Yes, in fighting, and especially MMA, ANYTHING can happen, but Brock . . . beating Fedor? Come on. Brock has strength and wrestling. Meanwhile, Fedor is deceptively very strong in his own right and his grappling > Brock’s wrestling.

by L E E on Jul 29, 2009 2:02 PM EDT reply actions

Logic? I would ask you this L E E of Fedors opponents would you be suprised if Randy won against them? I think he’ll even beat NOG his next fight and as far as big men he beat Tim out of the UFC as wall as gonzo lately. Who is the best fighter has faced? Most would say NOG or Cro Cop and if you agree look what a tough time those guy’s are haveing. Brock is warrior that is very focused and dedicated with his physical attributes he is going to be a tough opponent for any fighter. Who is the most talented big HW fedor has faced? Tim probally and Randy has beat him and Brock would destroy him. And it has been proven the best wrestlers dominate the best grapplers in MMA and Brock is probally the best wrestler. Logic tells me Fedor hasn’t faced anyone close to Brocks size that talented and would be naive for some one to base there opinion solely by a record?

by Beaver on Jul 29, 2009 3:01 PM EDT up reply actions

Beav, Randy would probably beat some, yes, of course. Randy is still a good fighter. However, his size and age are now becoming factors. Add that to the layoff he had and the fight was heavily in Brock’s favor. If you believe Nog and CC are the same fighters they were years earlier in PRIDE you are just kidding yourself. Mir can thank Fedor for helping to make Nog the fighter he MAY BE today (the fighter Mir beat and now everyone questions)—meaning, those three hard fights Nog had with Fedor would almost definitely shorten a career and even a life expectancy. However old Nog is is almost irrelevant due to the punishment his head has taken against the likes of CC, Sapp, others, and more importantly, Fedor. We really don’t know how good Nog is anymore. He pulled out a Nog-esque performance against Sylvia, but even then looked off. And against Mir, we heard stories of hospital visits and sever staph. we really don’t know about him. Moreover, a prime Nog would handle a pride Couture, no doubt. Besides, MMA doesn’t work. This “Brock beat Randy who beat Tim” is all garbage. I go by what I see. A fighter at Randy’s age, can look bad at anytime. He looked slower. But the thing is, he gave a Brock a good run for his money. Brock didn’t dominate in the least. Brock is a one-trick pony and will get exposed by Fedor. Hell, probably by someone else if they get to him before Fedor.

by L E E on Jul 29, 2009 3:23 PM EDT up reply actions

I meant to type “MMA math doesn’t work.” Sorry for the typo.

Oh, and nice use of the word “warrior” when describing a man who gets paid to fight in the 21st century. Words get thrown around way too liberally.

by L E E on Jul 29, 2009 3:28 PM EDT up reply actions

Warrior “a person who shows or has shown great vigor, courage, or aggressiveness, as in politics or athletics.”

Beaver I think warrior represents Brock well 21st century or not? Spartan, gladiator, Barbarian….are the words you see getting thrown around for other century soldiers L E E.

by Puck Head on Jul 29, 2009 3:34 PM EDT up reply actions

Point taken, but Brock still isn’t a “warrior” in the least. Douchebag? Probably. Overrated fighter? Most definitely. But I guess it’s all preference really.

by L E E on Jul 29, 2009 3:39 PM EDT up reply actions

Douchebag implies a variety of negative qualities, specifically arrogance and engaging in obnoxious and/or irritating actions without malicious intent. It is generally used for males only.

?? yeah you could be right too L E E brock is a “Douchebag Warior” I don’t know about overrated when you have a championship belt in the clearly #1 organization as far as being better than Fedor your right it’s opinion only and Fedor is starting to lose support on the opinion who is the #1 HW?

by Puck Head on Jul 29, 2009 4:34 PM EDT up reply actions

No sh$t beaver using that logic would make Carwin the #2 ranked HW right now. There is no 100% way of saying who is better until the enter the ring to face eachother but it is clear more and more peaple are believing Fedor is no longer the best HW on the planet and as long if he doesn’t get the UFC belt he soon could be takin out of the #1 spot even though may not lose another bout with the lack of talent outside the UFC and I can’t see Strikeforce agreeing with M1 either co-promotions are good for the smaller promotion with less on the line.

by Puck Head on Jul 29, 2009 3:29 PM EDT up reply actions

L E E NOG has the same skills he did in Pride takin hits to your head does not diminish your skills it may make it easier to be knocked out but it does not take away any of your MMA skills. The problem NOG is having fighting in today’s MMA their defence and preperation fighters have for attacking and defending against NOG are much better than the Pride days. Fedors biggest strenth is his composure & defence combined with accurate hard strikes and a great JJ game.

If NOG can not get you to the ground and submit you he’s in trouble against any of today’s top fighters a “one trick pony” were as brock may be a one trick pony but he can take any one down and make the fight happen were he’s the strongest. His other skills are improving but his base and strength is on the ground.

by Puck Head on Jul 29, 2009 5:25 PM EDT up reply actions

I am a big BJ fan. He is a beast the only 2 fighters that have put it to him are GSP and Matt Hughes both WW gods. Shit go back and look at that Openweight fight vs “Master” Machida. BJ went all 3 rounds and did not look bad. I do think Ken Flo wins via RNC but still got BJ love. Plane and simple this is a “Fans” card, all 4 main fighters are top draws. 2 P4P fights then you have 2 UFC Golden Boys Ken Flo and Forrest.

by Xsjado on Jul 29, 2009 3:00 PM EDT reply actions

He beat Matt Hughes the first time which is a bigger accomplishment than Hughes winning the second!

Accomplishment who said anything about that. All I said is that Hughes the 2nd time around put it to BJ. That is all, I am with you in saying that BJ’s RNC over Hughes is much more or a accomplishment. Even more so if you think about that the fight being in the MID of Hughes Prime when he was on a 19-1 terra and that 1 being the lose to BJ. Still tho…

by MMAmonkey on Jul 29, 2009 3:22 PM EDT reply actions

He most certainly isn’t. No stand up skills, no bjj. But he has a solid wrestling base. Brock Lesnar was trying to run for cover against Mir’s stand up. And Randy’s. Fedor on the feet, would beat Brock to a pulp.

by antihate on Jul 29, 2009 4:35 PM EDT up reply actions

it would of been good to see the barnett fight as well because the question would be for Fedor is if he could stop Barnett from taking the fight to the ground were Fedor would have a clear advantage standing up and not so much on the ground much like Brock. He wouldn’t have to worry as much about Brock’s JJ compared to Barnetts on the ground but he would have to worry much more on Brock’s GnP. Standing up against Brock he might out strike Brock but if he takes one of those big paws like couture did it would be lights out. And I’ll be honest I think Fedor would have trouble stopping Brock from taking him down and with Brocks wrestling ability and size he would control the fight.
