Agreed I think the UFC should take advantage of the NSAC five round in non title fights for the Fitch fight as he could be the next to get a shot at the title.

by Puck Head on Aug 27, 2009 2:27 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

ficth is definitly not next for a title shot its swick or kampman and fitch vs almeida is not even a big fight and the five round title fights are for main event that dont have a belt on the line such as rampage vs rashard evans dude do some research before makin dumn comments

I am exited for every fight on the card.

by belfort_fan on Aug 31, 2009 4:54 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Fitch/Almeida is hardly on the undercard is it?
With Davis/Saunders on the main card after 2 the lads just lost? And Karo shouldn’t be in the main card, the under achievin moaner, even though I enjoy watchin Hazelett. Karo just annoys more these days with his attitude, I use to love seein the judo throws but now he’s just annoyin me. Hope Hazelett bounces him round the cage

by IrishKev on Sep 25, 2009 7:53 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Took the words right out of my mouth Irishkev. Everything you said is truth and needs to happen.

Karo is a loser and ill be cheering my hardest for him to lose, hopefully ill cheer him right to the undercard, cause everyone knows fitch almeida should be on main card, hell i’d even like to see baroni and his sweet ass entrances over karo.

And that 5 round comment for the fitch fight was ridiculous. No way ever.

Go carwin!
Go tito!
Go fitch!
Go baroni!
Go home karo

by Daniel worby on Sep 25, 2009 9:35 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

The Karo fight is on the Main in hopes of getting a live watch at Haze pulling another flying flip omoplata armbar anaconda choke submission. Haze CANNOT LOSE this fight, unless Karo hugs him against the fence for 3 rounds.

Davis/Saunders doesn’t interest me at all.

Fitch/Almeida should be main card.

Predicting Brock to win (even though I hate him and think/hope Carwin knocks his smug face off)

Also- mega excited for Lil Nog’s fight.

I think Forrest could finish Tito this time around….

Arlovski would win.

i think he was talking about thiago alves…..the other pit bull

by child on Oct 2, 2009 10:49 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Brock gets rocked every round but still manages to win the fight by dominating on the ground and winning all 5 rounds. At least that’s what I see.
I hate Karo so I hope he loses and I think Tito will destroy Coleman, who I also dislike. If Amir chokes out Baroni, also one of the fighters I can’t stand, then I will be very happy.

When is the last time Fitch destroyed anyone? I wouldn’t call punching someone in the kidneys for three rounds a destruction.

by subwayy2sallyy on Aug 29, 2009 6:27 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Fitch is so dominant! His documentary says it all! This guy is a unstoppable. He said “I didn’t lose the GSP fight…I just ran out of time.”

by Luke on Sep 25, 2009 11:51 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Fitch should have lost to Jeff Joslin! Who gets a time out?

and running out of time with gsp? lucky for him he ran out of time, or maybe he wouldnt be around right now!

KAROOOOOOOOOOOO

man, he got a tuff fight going on. Dustin is very good at BJJ.
They should give Karo a lighter fighter in the start.

by sean on Sep 5, 2009 10:36 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

karo by way of tko baby
best fight on the card

by albert on Sep 8, 2009 10:29 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

no way Fitch should be on the undercard. he seriously gets no love. he’s p4p one of the best in the world. Once he has that highlight reel knockout than i guess he’ll get credit..maybe not

by killer on Sep 8, 2009 11:23 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

wow…fitch…he is my boy….but give him some credit…should be at least on the main card, should be a good fight. gotta see it for myself!!!

by trey on Sep 12, 2009 5:07 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

fitch should be on the main card…crazy that he isnt! he is #2 in his class. no one else sees this? gonna see this in person!

by trey on Sep 12, 2009 5:09 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

he will be on the main card they will move the marcus davis fight down with no questions asked

by soup on Sep 12, 2009 3:19 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Karo will back out of this one too. Davis/Saunders will be on main card because it’s going to be a standup fight on a card full of wrestlers and bjj fighters.

by FCFighter on Sep 12, 2009 6:35 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

lil nog vs luis cane on this card!

by casale4rmpdca on Sep 13, 2009 12:21 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

i see the fitch fight going the same way as the paolo thiago fight.the same as all his other fights besides the GSP fight! I give fitch alot of credit for a gud & tuff ass fighter but he needs to stay on the under card. Hes not exciting enuff

by d*locc on Sep 14, 2009 7:36 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

hows it not a big fight? there both top ten! and im pretty shure his name is rashad not rashard!and they did pass a knew rule that would allow them to make that 5 5s if it were for the # 1 contender spot, but dana doesnt do shit like that.

by joe daddy on Sep 14, 2009 11:56 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Anyone ever been to the Mandalay Bay for a fight? How easy is it to get beverages/snacks/bathroom breaks? In the 200 section. Can’t believe how much tickets were for the lower levels.

by DF on Sep 21, 2009 10:55 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Ya no kidding i just bought tickets in section 205, and i was on the phone with Mandalay Bay ticket people and stalled them for a half hr tell sales opened and still almost didnt get tickets. They sold out in a matter of minutes. Does anyone know how the view is from this section our sections around it? Do i need to bring my binoculars?

by corey on Sep 22, 2009 12:53 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’m in 207 – I don’t think they are that bad as it only holds 12,000. Any idea about the weigh in? I’m staying at the Mandalay Bay so hopefully I’m not charged

by DF on Sep 22, 2009 6:52 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

This is probably one of the best cards i’ve ever seen. Tito Ortiz is gonna run right through Mark Colman. In knockout fashion be it technical or not idc. Karo is gonna beat Hazlett by decision. Nogueira has Cane but that fight isnt going the distance either submission or knockout. Saunders is beating Davis by decision. I’m predicting the upset with Lesner and Carwin. Lesner is possibly the most overrated athelete in the world and now that he’s fighting someone his own size who has good wrestling its gonna be no problem for Carwin, i have him by knockout or tko. Fitch and Aleida is gonna be Fitch by decision

by Zach on Sep 22, 2009 12:45 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

For you two say Lesnar is the most overrated athlete in the world is just pure stupidity. You obviously don’t like the guy which is OK not to like fighters, but your an idiot for thinking he is overrated. He has 5 pro fights and is the Heavyweight Champion in the Worlds Best Fight Organization. People hate on him cause where he came from. Just goes to show people let there personnel feelings of people they don’t personally know get in the way and make idiotic statements based on it.

by corey on Sep 22, 2009 3:35 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

great card,
but alot of you so called mma fans really don’t know shit about the fighters at all

by bryant on Sep 24, 2009 11:14 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Agreed Cory.
Although this is a piss poor example of a thread in which to guage any knowledge as all these posters seem to be new or Brock lovers only, as in only watch his fights, then voice on everything like they know what’s going on.

Anyways I h8 Brock but he is far from overrated. He’s amazing, & will continue to get better. Hope carwin wins but not holding my breath.

Ugh I even read on the way down that karo deserves an easier opponent cause this is ‘too fast’ to give him hazelett. Umm just curious? When the hell should he move up and fight b level fighters? Ha ha. Wow. But besides the point as he’s gonna lose anyways cause karo=loser

by Daniel worby on Sep 25, 2009 9:53 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I really Hope they add some more under cards to this fight card. I am flying all the way from Alaska to see this event. Does anyone know if they charge you to go and watch the weigh ins?

by corey on Sep 25, 2009 5:09 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Weigh-ins are free but you get a better seat to them and in earlier if you are a member of the UFC Fightclub. You are then in for the Q&A session whoever it will be with at 106 and then the weigh-ins are right after.

by JP on Sep 25, 2009 5:32 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

he was a good wrestler but he’s gonna get beat and he is overrated. I dont care that he came from the wwe. he just has like a 40 pound size advantage and thats why he wins. he’s huge. being the best bc your bigger than everyone is so dumb. Bj penn is an amazing fighter but if he had to fight guys 40 pounds heavier than him he would prolly get pummeled too. he wont be able to take carwin down and carwin will kick his ass. in case you dont know he was an amazing colliegiate wrestler too and he’s gonna keep the fight on their feet and beat lesner’s ass.

by zach on Sep 26, 2009 11:15 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Ya he was a div 2 wrestler, in case u didn’t know. I was a DIV 1 Wrestler and know that Carwin Faced nowhere near the comp that Lesnar faced. If Lesnar wants to take him down, he will be able to. I don’t even care for Lesnar that much, but i am also realistic and look at the whole picture. I do believe though that Carwin will have an advantage on his feet and that’s where he needs to keep this fight if he is to win.

by corey on Sep 28, 2009 12:36 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

He’s a good wrestler, not amazing. It’s like comparing the Florida Gators to Grand Valley. Division 2 is nothing like Division 1.

Carwin is getting more then 3 to 1 so I’ll probably sprinkle some coin on him

by DF on Sep 29, 2009 10:38 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Exactly my point

by corey on Sep 29, 2009 11:58 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i got carwin in this one. brock has been rather “impressive” with his victories, but his performances tell me otherwise. i was live for the herring fight, and found myself getting bored by the 3rd round. brock can hit hard, but so can gonzaga, so i can assume that carwin can probably take his shots on the feet. think about it, every chance the lesnar v. mir II fight was on the feet, mir was aggressive and actually got the better of the exchanges. that said, carwin has the standup and more that enough knockout power to take out brock.

i see it going similar to the couture fight as far as gameplan goes for brock. his team will probably know that it will be hard to get carwin down, as well as keep him down because of his size, and will try to grind him out on the feet…. i just dont see that happening.

carwin
tito
go hazelett (karo…. haha… what a joke)
cane
saunders

fitch (who should be main card but i do see y hes not)
and ill go with baroni
i was impressed with amirs heart on the show but i knew for some reason his first fight in the UFC after the finale was gonna end in TKO, and not in his favor. i don’t see him really having any size advantage as a WW seeing as how that’s probably where he should have been before the show but I got baroni on this one, by strikes

by corey m. on Sep 27, 2009 3:11 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Brock
Tito
Dustin
Cane
Saunders
Fitch
amir

Hazlett is one of my good friends his bjj is unbelievable. Hope he ties Karo in a knot and gets sub of the night. Because I think its a bunch of crap that they had karo in the top 10 in the 170 pound division. Like to know how he done that? Most of all mma mags for this month had him at number 9. Look to see dusty to take him out in the first or second round via sub.

by corey ryland on Oct 1, 2009 7:32 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

brock lesnar has the potential to be the greatest mma fighter ever. he has all the tools you can’t teach, shear size strength and speed. All he has to do is get technical and lets face it we could be watching the next big thing in sports. Sorry that a lot of fans don’t like him b/c of his antics but that’s all b/c he was disrespected first.. he fought his ass off and got booed, i would of flicked everyone off too. Regardless of how everyone feels i’m rooting to see the next big thing become the biggest thing in mma.

Did anyone else catch the promo they had on last night during “UFC unleased”? It was Carwin vs Lesnar. I would think the UFC would be smart enough to pull this promo already. I guess not considering the poster still has Mark Coleman fighting as well.

I saw that and was complaining the whole time. They gotta get Rumble and Kos on the promo

170 lbs.: Paulo Thiago vs. Jacob Volkmann*

I’m still mad that karo/Dustin is on main card and amir/Phil. Although i’d like to see both they should be the 2 free prelims that Dana damn well better supply us since all his cards are falling apart only to be scraped together last minute. We deserve to see a couple of these under card fights for sure
