Eloquent. All I wanna see is him getting smashed.

I never hated on Kimbo. I just thought that the idea of him as a headliner was ridiculous based on his backyard brawls.
His 15 minutes are over. Time to put in the work on the road back to respectability.

you know i never hated on Kimbo either- to be real WHO would give up a main event card get payed 500K NOBODY thats who- it aint his fault ppl are drawn to him, the ppl who hate on kimbo as a fighter but love Lesnar ARE RETARDED!!! im not saying skill wise cuz lesnar is the better fighter for sure- but as attitude wise and a fighter trying to do the right things, Kimbo is much more of embassador for the sport than Lesnar..both suck don’t get me wrong, the thought of a back yard brawler isn’t exactly great for the sport, but kimbo’s attitude is better for the sport than lesnar.

ya lesnar really sucks….beat a legend and frank mir….

How many respected UFC fighters were in “backyard” style fights or shady underground promotions? We forget how far UFC has come up the last few years. Kimbo and his people just happened to come at the right time with youtube and figure out how to promote it. The same guy that sees Kimbo KO someone and forwards it to all his friends is the same dude that is buying PPV’s. Kimbo brings people in and that is good for the sport. Same reason Ultimate Knock Outs will always be more watched than Ultimate Submissions. BJJ is interesting to real MMA fans but the masses want to see two guys stand and bang. A real MMA fan appreciates fighters of all styles, including the brawlers. The Kimbo’s and Brian Stanns have their chance too. They can execute their game plan and land that bomb that ends it. And hopefully they expand their game and improve in other aspects of MMA. That is even more interesting to me to watch these guys evolve as fighters.
Miguel Torres is known for his brawls back in the day. Chuck used to bang on the beaches in SoCal. And the Diaz brothers who everyone on this site seems to love would fight a little old lady for looking at them wrong. I don’t understand all the hate for kimbo because he’s supposedly not a legitimate fighter.

Probably just because I am retarded, but what does it mean when you say “did you get your grade 10 yet?”

MAC, nice catch. That Ricky guy really reminded me of the show, plus his name is Ricky.

I don’t think his 15 minutes are over. He is headlining all of the TUF commercials with Rampage and Evans, just by signing his name on the dotted line. Sounds to me like his 15 minutes have been extended.
by mikemick on Jul 21, 2009 12:14 PM EDT up reply actions
Sounds to me like Seth ended his 15 minutes. The casual MMA fan will remember Kimbo being KTFO on Prime Time TV. Winking your chest muscle on a commercial don’t mean shit.
by OJR on Jul 21, 2009 12:54 PM EDT up reply actions
Bullsh!t, flexing your chest muscle in a commercial means your a bad@ss.
by O damn he got caught on Jul 21, 2009 1:40 PM EDT up reply actions
I was taken aback by how well he spoke, beside the usual 10 u know what I’m sayin. However, he made sense and hopefully his stint on the show will be entertaining as hell.

I think this was a brilliant move having Kimbo on TUF 10. I know millions of ppl have said that before, but there’s just going to be so many ppl watching TUF just because they either want to see Kimbo get smashed or win it all. Not to mention that the UFC’s heavyweight division could use a couple more stand outs.
by Miguel on Jul 21, 2009 11:20 AM EDT reply actions
Yes they need guys to be along side:
Brock
Couture
Gonzaga
Carwin
Heath
Big Nog
Kongo
Hardonk
Mir or Mur (what ever he goes by now?)
Val
by RoJ on Jul 21, 2009 11:36 AM EDT up reply actions
Velasquez (yeah I messed up)
I’d say it’s pretty stacked, the best heavyweight division in the sport. (Fedor Chicken?) Hmm Hmm. Anyway you look at it you lose. Our sport is either gonna make a mockerie of Kimbo or be a Mockerie. (Not Good). Will I be entertained ,ya more than likely.
Have Kimbo fight but do not make him a spoke person, other than for himself,(Spike TV mic). Kimbo is a great warior and posses a natural fighter spirit (primitive). So they should give him time to learn first, then worry about promotting the crap out of him.

I was just on BoDog looking at some odds for future fights. Two things stood out.
Rampage and Rashad are even, both -115

Agreed man, I have so much more respect for the man now, he wants to come in and be a true mixed martial artists and he has a lot of respect for the sport and his opponents/other fighters. Win or lose on the TUF 10, Kimbo will fight in the UFC.
by brian on Jul 21, 2009 11:32 AM EDT reply actions
He’s probably to busy making these videos to train properly. I predict Kimbo getting submitted early on but being offered the chance to fill in later. Yes, he will go on in the UFC….as long as he can win.

I didn’t really care much for Kimbo when he was the headliner for EliteXL, but was that his doing? I never met the man so how can I dislike him? The media dictate what we discuss and think about to a certain degree. I wish Kimbo well, but I don’t think he’ll win more that two fights during the season.

Always good motivation…not looking like an idiot on national TV (especially when it has happened already).

I never knew why so much hate for this guy.
I mean sure he got short cut to mma fame but kimbo was never a d—k or anything, he always said he had respect for all fighters and stuff.
Dana in a sort of joking matter said he would make the show for him
Kimbo took the chance, that takes something
I hope he does good

i never liked kimbo, but everytime i see an interview with him, i gain more and more respect for him. i hope he does well on tuf. he does have power in his punches, but thats about it. a punching man always has a chance in my opinion. all it takes is that 1 bomb and end someones life and he has the ability to do. will he do it? i dont know but i hope he does well.
hats off to you kimbo!

I like kimbo for the fact that he seems to be a good guy I see all the hate from the haters but thats what haters do and if he was in there face most of them would have nothing to say to the man I hope he do well and when you come from the streets homeless and now on tv doing what you love thats great you can feed your babies be a rollmodel for them that’s what this country is all about if you get off your ass and go get it you can reach your goal unlike you haters sitting on here looking to spread your haterade on somthing Id like to see one of you fight kimbo that man feeds his family by fighting and in my book thats real I hope he gets with someone who will give him the right training he needs to be one of the greats
