i was totally pulling for filho and was nervous in the beginning there. what was that wicked graph thing they should at the bottom of the screen before the filho vs manhoef fight? it looked like something out of a video game. kind of cool.

Fedor is great. I think when he was in pride he was competing against the best in his weight class at the time(usaually). Since he has left pride though i dont think he has been fighting the best and dont consider him in the top 5 p4p. After the Barnett fight depending on his performance I think he will firmly hold the number 2 spot behind GSP. Im not a GSP fan by the way in fact I always root against him, but he is so much better than everyone in his weight class it is undeniable, even though he dosent finish he still dominates, albeit not very excitingly.

The best heavyweights in the world fought in Pride and he beat them all. Arlovski and Sylvia were the standard bearers for the UFC hw division during those years and he beat them. Aside from Randy, who hasnt he beaten during his run? He is a k.o. artist, a gifted grappler, and his compsure is the best in mma. You are questioning maybe the most complete fighter—a guy who’s never lost and fought everyone. Sure, Carwin has an outside shot and Brock is a serious problem, but these guys have emerged over the last eight months. Barnett is excellent and he too has a shot but I would never bet against Fedor.

slyvia and aa were not the “standard bearers” for the ufc when he beat them you fool if that was true they wouldn’t have been fighting fedor , the would have been on top of the ufc hw division!! GOODLORD AA was the first of this year !! Filho-Manhoef has to be right up there for comeback of the year, that fight was insane and it’s even crazier when you think back to how awful Filho looked against Sonnen and all of his antics outside of the sport. It looked like Manhoef was going to maul Filho then as soon as it hit the ground Paulo showed beautiful BJJ, great win and a great fight.
