UFC Quick Quote: Tom Lawlor all set after 'collaring the Doberman'

"It's hard to say (what's next). I've been pretty poor the past few years, so after getting this bonus, I'll have to fight again in like eight or nine years. That'll probably be how long it takes me to run out of money if I keep living at the standard of living I've been at. Look for me in about 2018. UFC 200 I'll be fighting the serpent from Revelations, as the world is coming to an end in about nine years."

-- The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 8 contestant, Tom Lawler, talks to MMAWeekly.com about his banner weekend at UFC 100 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 11. "Filthy" -- who many fans apparently believed didn't deserve a spot on the historic fight card -- needed less than a minute to choke former castmate CB Dolloway unconscious with a guillotine choke. Lawlor earned $116,000 for the effort, which includes $100,000 for the "Submission of the Night." However, he'll perhaps be remembered most for his performces outside the Octagon rather than inside it. If his "Just Bleed" parody at the weigh ins wasn't enough, he also captured quite a buzz with his entrance. Check it out after the jump:

by JG on Jul 18, 2009 12:26 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I don’t particularly like the guy, and that entrance was pretty lame. I mean, REALLY fucking lame. What a Goddamn retard…

by Synyster on Jul 18, 2009 4:14 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I take it you guys dont know where he got the idea to come out with the paint from huh? I forget which event it was but there was a crazy fan with the exact same shit painted on himself making that same face. It was funny shit. Give Lawlor a break he just has a sence of humor.

by belfort_fan on Jul 18, 2009 6:25 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I think Tom and Seth are gay. . . I saw some gross pictures of them.

by belfort_fan on Jul 18, 2009 6:28 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

seth is definitely Gay! I dont even remember lawlor from tUF. what season was he on?

A for Creativity!

by JOhn G on Jul 18, 2009 8:57 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

How could Seth even put himself in a position like that, on a f—cking LEASH? Geeez, how degrading.

I reckon they’re gay. Lawlor probably ties Seth up and gets released from a cage wearing animal skins and rapes Seth where he lies, tied up and naked, like a victim of a savage beasts.

I reckon they’re g@y. Lawlor probably ties Seth up and gets released from a cage wearing animal skins and r@pes Seth where he lies, tied up and naked, like a victim of a savage beast.

Sorry for the double post (this is my second post to apologize) because g-a-y seems to be censored.

by Kobajack on Jul 19, 2009 2:46 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I can’t believe this. How disrespectful to his opponent and to MMA. These are the sort of antics that have no place in MMA. I think they belong in some other sort of organization that doesn’t feature “real” fighters. On behalf of everyone who ever has and ever will watch MMA, I would just like to officially register my digust at Lawlor’s behavior.

by PW on Jul 18, 2009 1:41 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

give the guy a break pw, i thought it was funny and not disrespectful at all. this was just for kicks and it shows he has a sense of humor.

by Nokimono on Jul 18, 2009 1:53 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

CB is a dick so get over it lol. I think he is a funny dude…not Forrest funny but pretty funny in his own crazy way. If you think that is so terribly disrespectful you must live in some nutshell. This is the fight game not law school.

by halljam2 on Jul 18, 2009 2:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

OMG PW, pull that stick out of your ass. You sound like a 87 year old Redsox fan who still doesn’t like the designated hitter rule. It was goddamn hilarious, just get over it.

by Sirchokemout on Jul 18, 2009 2:33 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Congratualtions Nokimono, Halljam and SirChoke, you all managed to miss the satirical slant of my posting. It was a wickedly clever skewering of everyone who got twisted up over Brock Lesnar from the very same event. Thanks for taking the humor out of it by forcing me to explain it to you, you addle-brained lackwits.

by PW on Jul 18, 2009 4:32 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

LOL at PW!! I’m thinking more than 75% of weekend posters might have to look up addle-brained.

by chefdaddy on Jul 18, 2009 7:38 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

P-dub: as soon as I read your post, i knew you were joking, then again I know you pretty well by now!

by JOhn G on Jul 18, 2009 8:57 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Hahahahahahahaha.

What am I laughing at again? Yeah uh, real wickedly clever, so wickedly clever in fact, that I’m in awe of your wickedly clever ways to skewer everyone. Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

FAIL

by Kobajack on Jul 18, 2009 9:37 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ok, sorry PW. I resented that you tried to sound lofty after trapping those dudes. I didn’t notice it was supposed to be funny initially either.

by Kobajack on Jul 19, 2009 2:44 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Kobajack…ummm…it was funny. Never wise to admit that you don’t get the joke.

by chefdaddy on Jul 19, 2009 5:13 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

LOL. So I should be ashamed now? Haha. You’re a bright one aren’t you. I didn’t say I DON’T get it, I said I didn’t get it initially. Read with your eyes, man.

Besides, sarcasm is hard to read in mere words, and if people didn’t get the joke, I blame the writer.

by Kobajack on Jul 19, 2009 5:51 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

You forget, just because you are hanging off PW’s balls doesn’t mean the rest of us even know who he is, or what his stance is. So how the F-CK would people know?

by Kobajack on Jul 19, 2009 6:07 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

PW, I hate to say it but I have more brains than you could ever even try to accommodate. Unfortunately lack of style jokes like that don’t come across as such because YOU ARE ON THE INTERNET.

by halljam2 on Jul 19, 2009 7:27 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

news flash – shitty attempts at sarcasm do not translate well in innerwebs

by sirchokemout on Jul 19, 2009 11:07 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

thanks mikey. now i know who the dude is. cheers.

by Kobajack on Jul 19, 2009 6:36 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that is just wrong, but cb had that one coming that’s epic one of the best entrances ever just because cb is a prick and lost so badly

by randy murders on Jul 18, 2009 11:37 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

You ahve to love this clown. His after show speech was priceless (He said first he would move up to HW and take Brock then drop to 170 for GSP). Gotta love when the fighters are having as much fun as the fans.

by KMac on Jul 18, 2009 11:38 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

good dude hopefully he has a good career

by Jared on Jul 18, 2009 11:39 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

this guy is hilarious. his post fite comments were great when he said he was going to go up to heavyweight and then to featherweight. need more guys like him in mma, who arent scummbags

by bobby o'shea on Jul 18, 2009 11:52 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Ya I have to agree. Hopefully he can rack up some decent wins. Id like to see him around for awhile. If he keeps fighting like he did against CB then he should have a pretty bright future.

by terribleone on Jul 18, 2009 11:52 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

UFC 100 should have been somewhere other than vegas! at least the place would have been packed from the get go..there was NO ONE in the stands for that!! priceless

Yes, Seth Petruzelli does seem to have a sense of humor, a keen observation that no one will likely make about you in turn.

by clayton on Jul 18, 2009 12:36 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, it’s kinda funny, but it’s still looks degrading, putting yourself in a position like that, on a f—cking LEASH.

Still say Akihiro Gono and his Supremes entrance is the best entrance in MMA history.

by Tanner on Jul 18, 2009 3:25 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

You know with a face like that, he’s about to bust a gasket.

by neeko on Jul 18, 2009 4:34 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Seth and Tom are great guys. Neither can hold their liqour though. Just saying…

by Youtaped on Jul 18, 2009 5:12 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Quality entrance, it’s great to see things like this it makes the sport more entertaining, not everything in MMA has to be serious. I was one of those who didn’t think that Lawlor deserved a spot on 100 but he performed excellently and put on a great show for the fans.
