It’s incredible to hear GSP talk about how much pain he was in. Didn’t see an ounce of it while he was fighting, a true champion.

jens is probably the nicest dude you will ever meet, say something nice about him.
by DirtyML on Jul 13, 2009 10:29 PM EDT up reply actions
Yeah Jens is pretty cool. Very fan friendly. I got to meet him at UFN 18 in Tampa. Got a UFC hat signed by him an Sean Sherk for my little brother.
Good blog. For some reason I wasnt able to load up past 7 minutes on either one.

by mikeybear on Jul 14, 2009 3:03 AM EDT up reply actions
Jeez, I didn’t say he wan’t nice…just laughed at his duds. He looks like a little kid during school picture day…but, he is a oool cat.

Yea man, Jens is super cool. I met him during a WEC “after-party” in Hollywood, FL and he was just chilling with family/friends getting some food. By far one of the nicest fighters I have talked to.
by Ertz on Jul 14, 2009 7:55 AM EDT up reply actions
Haha… shit had me cracking up. But seriously, I hope the WEC can find a total can for him to beat on, or maybe give him a job with promotions or announcing. Something… I don’t know. He’s too young to retire, and I can’t see him doing much other than fighting, or construction. Maybe he could make sandwiches and cut meat like Randy “The Ram” Robinson.

no doupt, I’m often embarassed by some of the comments I read. I’d like to think the MMA sub culture was I little more knowlegeble.

by 36chamberz on Jul 13, 2009 11:03 PM EDT reply actions
Anyone else think that it is awesome that Royce Gracie was the one holding Rampage back when him and Rashad got into it…
by efisher on Jul 13, 2009 11:37 PM EDT reply actions
the funniest was lorenzo’s response, “what are you doing?” haha.
by JB on Jul 14, 2009 12:42 AM EDT up reply actions
Climbing over a pair of Gracie to push someone…what the hell was Rampage thinking?
by DSmith on Jul 14, 2009 2:18 AM EDT up reply actions
good thing he didn’t have his truck with him

christ almighty, dana seemed pissed backstage afterwards.

This is totally non blog related but lets give it up for Hendo AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!
“That guy is my HERO!” ala Rogan on Couture

Dana is so unconfortable with GSP. I think he’s uneasy because him and GSP are so different.
The both work real hard and have tremendous desire to win, but…
GSP smiles like a kid going to Disneyland, while Dana smiles like a bear in the spring.
Odd couple.

LOL @ Lorenzo two-sticks, “rampage and rashad started pushing each other” like a mom telling the dad their kids got into it…
by Tony on Jul 14, 2009 1:24 AM EDT reply actions
Did you catch what Dana said to Bonner regarding his loss to Coleman…was it ’don’t worry, I told ya you’re like one of my kids, you’ll be in the UFC forever?" That ‘security blanket’ is going to affect him mentally and take the heart and will to win away from Bonner. He’ll lose his next fight knowing that is isn’t a ‘do-or-die’ fight.
by mma_dad on Jul 14, 2009 1:53 AM EDT reply actions
I actually think he says “You’re like one of my kids man. ‘A’ for effort”. Not 100% sure though because the audio is pretty scratchy.

hendo’s second punch looked like it happened much quicker than on television…i think the punch was justified
by matt on Jul 14, 2009 3:17 AM EDT reply actions
This video also showed how far the ref was out of position, and why it took him so long to get to Hendo to stop him.
The only real issue I see with the last punch was what Henderson said about it after the fight.
by KMac on Jul 14, 2009 6:44 AM EDT up reply actions
It wasn’t.
It’s easy to ignore it or forgive it, because Bisping is a prick, but Hendo knew he was out. He’s a professional fighter, and pro’s know when they catch someone flush.
Fighting until the ref steps in is all well and good and part of the sport, but Hendo’s a seasoned veteran with a notoriously big right hand punch. For him to put all that weight and power into a punch on a guy who was stiff on the canvas wasn’t on. More importantly, it’s dangerous and it’s bad for the sport.
by chris on Jul 14, 2009 6:53 AM EDT up reply actions
Did you see Fretitas and Dana’s face after Bisping gets KO’d. Like they just lost a cash cow….How awesome!!!!!
by Da Monkey on Jul 14, 2009 7:23 AM EDT reply actions
Hendo is a prick and will get TKO’d by Silva…his face waspriceless when Silva had the choke on him and he couldnt breathe much longer haha….WAR SILVA P4P BEAT!!!!!
by Jugga on Jul 14, 2009 8:36 AM EDT reply actions
Anybody catch how mad Lorenzo was at Rampage for pushing Rashad? This is a sport not a street fighting exhibition
by Robert(1) on Jul 14, 2009 9:24 AM EDT reply actions
Was that MMA or WWE? I couldn’t ell the difference.
by introvert on Jul 14, 2009 10:03 AM EDT reply actions
Sweet blog, Hendo is the man and needs another shot at the belt before he retires. I think fans are used to the actors in the sport like Bisping (among others) that say they are gonna shut someone up or break someones arm and the fans don’t expect it because they have heard it all before and assume its part of the hype. Hendo isnt an actor, if he says hes gonna teach someone a lesson/shut someones mouth, hes gonna do it for real, its a prize fight and the ref didnt stop it, no one would be talking about it if he “acted” and said he didnt know he was out. The real moral? don’t tell an Olympic wrestler with devastating KO power a fight with him is gonna be a cake walk.
by merv on Jul 14, 2009 10:32 AM EDT reply actions
I think it was great of Dana to thank the media for all the hype and coverage over the show even though the media does it for itself. But anyway, I liked it. Brock’s apology sounds false to me. Don’t like him at all. :/
by Moi on Jul 14, 2009 12:31 PM EDT reply actions
this paints rampage in a bad light (so does all the other random shit he does).
‘dont say anything, I wasnt talking to you’
hard to tell, but looks like rampage being a dick and not evans.
