UFC 100 weigh in results LIVE from Las Vegas!

lesnar mir

The official weigh-in event for UFC 100 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada is now in the books.

All 22 fighters who tipped the scales made weight without incident.

Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, as well as British middleweight Michael Bisping, received mostly boos when they took to the stage, although both men seemed to relish in their villain roles.

Welterweight number one contender Thiago Alves looked especially depleted for his weigh-in, although with his history of missing weight, it wasn't much of a surprise. UFC legend Mark Coleman, who is making his second appearance as a light heavyweight, also looked a bit worn from the weight cut.

And in one of the more unusual stare downs of the evening, Jon "Bones" Jones not only refused to look his opponent, Jake "Irish" O'Brien, in the eye, he turned his head completely away.

Here are the complete UFC 100 weigh in results:

Star-divide

265 lbs.: UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar (265) vs. Interim Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir (245) for undisputed division title
170 lbs.: UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre (170) vs. Thiago Alves (170)
170 lbs.: Jon Fitch (170) vs. Paulo Thiago (170)
185 lbs.: Dan Henderson (185) vs. Michael Bisping (186)
185 lbs.: Yoshihiro Akiyama (185) vs. Alan Belcher (186)
205 lbs.: Stephan Bonnar (205) vs. Mark Coleman (205)
205 lbs.: Jon Jones (206) vs. Jake O’Brien (206)
170 lbs.: TJ Grant (170) vs Dong Hyun "Stun Gun" Kim (171)
155 lbs.: Mac Danzig (154) vs. Jim Miller (155)
185 lbs.: CB Dollaway (186) vs. Tom Lawlor (184)
155 lbs.: Matt Grice (155) vs. Shannon Gugerty (156)

Note: Fighters are allowed to weigh one pound more than the division limit in non-title fights.

Remember that MMAmania.com will provide LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the main card action on fight night (Saturday, July 11), which is slated to air at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view from the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

The latest quick updates of the live action will begin to flow earlier than that around 8 p.m. ET.

It’s going to be an awesome and memorable night of fights so don’t miss it. And remember to check us out for all the pre, during and post-fight UFC 100 coverage you can handle.

someone said it’s on espn news is this true mania?
I know you’re swamped with 100 news mania, but are you still interested in the 101 ticket?
one other note on 101, we over rided John and his brazilian steak house! I’m not looking to gorge, I want a good steak (rare), NOT MEAT ON TOP OF MEAT (ALL OVER COOKED).
We need a head count for Ruth’s Chris so I can make reservations. if you’re in for this thr fri. befor 101, let me know!

I noticed Mir wearing long tights under his shorts. You guys think he’s going to come out tomorrow night with some Aoki-style pants?

by Syn on Jul 10, 2009 7:37 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

One more thing: I’ve always noticed what Mir said in that interview after the weigh ins, talking about how Brock’s GNP is annoying. He lifts his arm up like, less than a foot and lands like, 50 of those in 30 seconds. Even if they aren’t particularly damaging, should they be cause enough to stop a fight? I dont think so.

by Syn on Jul 10, 2009 7:39 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

LOL @ UFC.com’s poll question today:

“Only one UFC® great has been able to face Minotuaro Nogueira and walk away with the knock out. Who was that powerful striker?’

Frank Mir, the feared and deadly striker. Man, what a difference one fight makes.

by Jeremyjackson on Jul 10, 2009 7:53 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Syn — a stoppage happens when a fighter is taking punishment and can’t intelligently defend himself. When a 275-pound large scary man is beating a dude’s head like an ADD 5-year-old with a bongo, damage is occuring. If the human bongo can’t do anything about it, the fight gets stopped.

by PW on Jul 10, 2009 7:58 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Exactly! Randy couldn’t even get up afterwards so you know it does damage!

by justagirl on Jul 10, 2009 8:14 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

syn – under the unified rules of mma, aoki style pants are illegal.

by JB on Jul 10, 2009 9:01 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

yeah the UFC’s hype machine has no limits!.. Frank is an amateur when it comes to standup, anybody that is an athlete and has a sense of fighting that trains proffessionally for 2 months or something could do just the same..

I don’t see what’s good with throwing the same combo 10 times in a row against a living heavybag

by RoB on Jul 10, 2009 9:13 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Mir at 245 means he has prioritized his conditioning for this fight. I suspect he realizes even coming in heavy, he’s won’t close the gap in strength, but instead is looking to increase his quickness and stamina to some extent. Makes sense, but I still don’t expect Mir will have a large enough gas tank to hold Lesnar off effectively beyond mid-3rd round….if the fight lasts that long. Some guys just gas, for whatever reason.

I am convinced we’ll know how this fight will go no later than mid 1st round. For Mir to win, he will need to get Lesnar in a bad spot early. The more time that passes, the less likely it is that Mir can catch Lesnar in a sub, and the more likely Lesnar’s size and power grind Mir down. I’ll be very surprised if this fight reaches the 3rd round.

by CL on Jul 10, 2009 9:15 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I have to say though Frank Mir looks like he’s in the shape of his life! looks very fast and explosive..

by NameNotRequired on Jul 10, 2009 7:31 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Good question, NNR. I’m thinking they’ll freeze it up. Mir looks to be in the shape of his life – doesn’t mean he’s aquired cardio though. Lesnar is in character as usual and I must admit these weigh-ins just pumped me up even more.

by Jeremyjackson on Jul 10, 2009 7:39 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Wow didn’t know you could do that. Would it even work with trying to warm up and just overall energy output from getting ready for battle? This is my first time hearing about this injury but is the general concensus that there should be no effect during the fight?

by NameNotRequired on Jul 10, 2009 7:51 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

hey John, I asked a few of the “grown ups” from philly. the consensus was the same, if we want to gorge on overcooked meat, brazzilian, if we want a nice, good meal Ruth’s chiris. It’s very unfortunate that Philly has no other steakhouse than one you can eat at in any other city…in any other city you can go to a great locally owned steak house!

You’re calling Brock cocky in comparison to Mir – who talks shit all day long? I can appreciate his efforts to sound smart, but if u actually listen to what he says he might as well talk out his rear.

Not saying Mir isn’t cocky and full of him self. I just hate Brock. And want to see him get beat. Mabey then he will have respect for the men that paved the way for the sport. (Like Mir and Randy)

I don’t if i’d exactly say that FRANK MIR paved the way for what MMA and the UFC is today!

by Owen on Jul 10, 2009 8:40 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Alves is gonna get embarrassed, Mir is gonna get embarrassed, Bisping is gonna get UD’d, Sexyama will destroy Belcher and Fitch will UD Paulo. UFC 100 will be turn out to be a mediocre card once all is said and done.

by jayshogun on Jul 10, 2009 6:25 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Agreed except Bisping will get the UD not Hendo.

by Lester The Pimp on Jul 10, 2009 6:38 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well, be ready to eat your words – why you guys think Bisping is gonna come even close to beating Hendo is beyond me? He belongs with the Alan Belchers and Sakaras of the MW division – not the top dogs such as Nate, Maia, Silva, Hendo.

by jayshogun on Jul 10, 2009 6:57 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

We’ll all find out tomorrow.

I think bisping is way way underrated

he looked great at the weighins tonight lauching and joking…..totaly relaxed.

Im now more confident than ever that Bisping takes this one.

UFC Dan is not Pride Dan, like bisping said everyone keeps going on about hendo’s power but hes only had 1 KO in five years.

by Confused on Jul 10, 2009 7:30 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, and who the hell has Bisping KO’d? He couldn’t even finish Leben.

by jayshogun on Jul 10, 2009 8:18 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Its going to be a decision either way

Bisping by UD, all the KO talk is hype for the fight.

people forget that Leben collapsed back stage and spent the night in hospital…..maybe he had a cold…

by Confused on Jul 10, 2009 8:45 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

The only guy that ever KO’d Leben was Anderson Silva and that would happen to anyone who fought Silva as recklessly as Leben did. Leben has one of the best chins in the sport, so Bisping’s strategy was flawless.

Bisping-Hendo is going to a decision, both guys have great chins and it all depends on who can impose their gameplan on the night, if Bisping can keep this fight standing then he has a great chance at outboxing Hendo and tire him out, whilst Dan has to go for the takedown and win this through control. Hopefully Bisping will shut up his critics and earn Manchester a stellar main event, so I can cheer Anderson live.

by David W-S on Jul 10, 2009 8:48 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Bisping’s strategy was flawless and strategy is the difference between a win and a loss when you don’t have the same chin or knockout power as your opponent…
Had Alessio Sakara implemented the same gameplan against Leben he would have won easily, cause he’s a much better boxer than Leben and he moves much better, but his chin against Leben’s and Leben’s KO power vs his in a brawl did not work out..

by RoB on Jul 10, 2009 9:16 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

jayshogun agree with all your predictions, but its going to be a great fight card, if your a fan of those fighters, but yeah i dont think there will be any barn burners, gsp will destroy alves, and lesnar do the same to mir, as for bisping i do see him picking apart a one dimensional hendo. HENDO is has power and a great chin, but he is so slow, and has terrible standup tecqnique, franklin was picking him apart, except for that hendo headbutt, and eyepokes, as long as bisping keeps it standing which he will, he has improved tremendiously since the rashad fight, he will have no problems, with broken down, slow ass hendo.

how bad would it suck if all 3 main events ended the same way that jake shields and robbie lawler did? in motherfucking guillotine chokes in like a minute?

is there anything more disapointing than a high profile fight ending in a goddamn guillotine choke in the first minute of a fight??

it is the brawler’s version of a sub…i hate that fucking move..those fucking things shouldnt be allowed till at least the 3rd minute of a fight..

god i fucking hate those chokes

by HellaHectic on Jul 10, 2009 7:50 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I thought that it was a great ending, shows how quickly a fight can change when you have a quality BJJ fighter in there. It keeps the fight interesting when you know that it could end that quickly and suddenly.

I’m looking forward to another Bisping performance like he did against Leben. Gotta do whatever it takes to win the fight then again Leben doesnt have the wrestling that Hendo does. I got Hendo winning 1st two rounds with takedowns and ground control then a gassed Hendo will lose the 3rd round in his way to victory. I got Mir by sub 2nd round and I got GSP by TKO 4th rd against a tired Alves.
