I see this as a great big red herring.

Bisping as cocky as he is would not in a million years think that his wrestling after a couple of years of mma training would better Hendo’s lifetime of Greco.

I think he is just playing with Hendo’s head a bit.

I’ve said it before but i think that Bisping will highlight what a what of people have been thinking recently that Hendo is slowing down, relying on his heavy hands and greco than good footwork and combos.

Gas will come into this fight too. Bispings cardio is off the chart, Hendo on the other hand was really struggling in the third against Ace.

If this fight gets to the third Bisping will be peppering the sh*t out of him on his feet and take the round. So using good striking and footwork if he can nab one of the first two rounds its his fight.

You are completely correct Nick. Hendo’s far too long in the tooth though to be taken in by Bizzzzzbing’s rather amateurish attempts at mind games.

Hendo has never and will never get roped into any mind games and he’s as mentally tough as they come. Bisping talks way too much for his own good and he’s quick to toot his own horn. I really dislike Bisping and hearing him talk almost always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I have no problem admitting that Bisping is picking up the wrestling game at a very quick pace and he might be the best I’ve ever seen at getting up off his back other than lightweights…it’s impressive. Bisping is going to have an advantage in speed and technique on the feet and that is a devastating combo but Hendo has a steel chin and heavy hands and can end the fight with one punch…Bisping has not shown he can do that yet.

It’s going to be a pretty close fight and Hendo will need to time his shots well and not waste energy clinging to a single leg too often or he’ll tire a bit in the 3rd. I don’t see this ending any other way other than decision and I think Hendo will score enough points to get a split cause Hendo has been in the cage with the best of best in terms of striking.

Good analysis Buster! Although I firmly believe that Bisping will win this decision, I cant really disagree with your analysis. Only thing I would like to add, is that Hendo has clearly slowed down….while Bisping improves exponentially with each day.

Hendo does have some ridiculous power in his hands, but I havent seen the same Grit and aggression out of Hendo that he showed in Pride. He showed flashes of it against Rampage, but since then, I hate to say it…but he looks like age has caught up with him. with that said, he is still one ultra tough SOB. I dont call him Dan “Built Ford TOugh” henderson for nothing! lol

This fight is destinied to go to a decision. Hendo doesnt have “a button” on his chin, so he wont be getting kO’ed anytime soon, and Bisping has a very under rated chin as well. I think Hendo is going to have a really hard time landing shots on Bisping. Speed kills! Combine Bispings supperior speed, with his vry techical striking/footwork. Its going to be really hard for Dan to land a good, clean shot on THE COUNT!!!!

Hendo is one of my alltime favorites, and Bisping is one of my favorites RIGHT NOW….Normally I wouldnt care who won this fight, but I did bet $100 on Bisping so, WAR COUNT BISPING!!!!

I say it everday….It irks the Fock out of me that Bisping doesnt get the credit that he deserves around here!

lol bisping has a good chin? has he even faced anybody with power besides leben? and did leben even hit him in that fight? i saw a little kid’s game of tag being played in that “fight” bisping is either getting knocked out or hes going to backpeddle his way to a decision loss, he has no power, no submissions, limited wrestling, im really having a hard time seeing how he can win this fight…

Bizzzzbing will definitely win the fight, it wont be pretty but he’ll win, probably by split decision. Dan aint what he used to be.

Brendan: He’s fought Mark Epstein twice, who is a sh!te fighter but has massive power in his punches. They had a massive toe to toe fight and Bisping took some big punches but was not hurt at all.
He is widely regarded by anybody that knows anything about him as having a rock solid chin.

Good points John…Hendo has definitely slowed down and you could see that in the Franklin fight but Franklin is almost as slow so it was a little hard to tell. I hope we see some of that aggression and lunging that we are used to seeing from Dan’s PRIDE days. It’s funny how many people say that about so many of the former PRIDE fighters…how we wished they’d go back the way they fought when they were with PRIDE.

I agree that Bisping gets dissed around here quite a bit and I do some of it myself. The thing is…look at Bisping’s resume…it doesn’t shout elite fighter to me. Beating Leben, Day, and Hammil (if you believe he really won that fight) doesn’t give you much credit. If he beats Hendo clearly and decisively then I’ll buy into the Bisping hype just a little but I don’t believe that he deserves a title shot with a win. I want to see him fight one of the top 5 middleweights like Marquardt or Okami before he gets a crack at Silva. Bisping has improved a fair amount since the show but he has to prove that against better competition and that starts with Hendo.

Some great objective posts up there ‘FINALLY’ Hendo has always been one of my fav fighters, but I put $400 on Bisping at 3-1. I don’t believe Bisping will take Hendo down unless he’s tired and gets surprised by a double. However, Bisping can pop up to his feet after getting taken down like a jumping jack rabbit. I got Bisping by split decision, it’s his time.

yeah..alot of people only judge Bisping on what he did in the UFC, but Bisping has been around the block before getting into the Octagon. HIs toe to toe battles with Epstein (who hits like a mac truck) were awesome and a testament to what a rock solid chin Bisping has.

Buster: NOt only do I think he clearly won the Hammil fight, Im not sold that he lost the fight against Rashad. Truth be told, I would like to see Bisping perform like I know he can against tougher comp. when I say he is a top fighter, I mean it that I PROJECT him to prove it in the near future, with an increase in competition. I watch his fights closely and to me, it looks like he is very skilled, and I know he is mentally strong. NOw that he has jumped down to middleweight..he went from being the smallest fighter, to the BIG DOG…combine that with the skills he has developed, and I think he is about to put his mark on the middleweight division. In order for this post to be valid, he has to start with Hendo!

The Bising may not stop Hendo, but he will win by decision. The Bisping will out box and out wrestle the old man. After this fight Hendo might be thinking, " I can’t beat anybody of any substance, I think I am going back to fight in Japan, cause they love me overthere".

He is definitely not capable of finishing Hendo. He can’t even bussa’ grape!

Well K-Dog…From the picture it looks,like Bizzz been practicing his wrestling at Tap Out Center in Vegas.So that will probably help him more,than his coach at wolfslair.Plus,while he’s there he,can work his jits with Vinicius…so maybe we’ll see bizzzbing trying to go for the sub to finish Hendo?

I dont think so Alpha. I dont think he could raise his sub game to the standard it needs to be in such a short space of time to sub a veteran like Hendo. Palhares couldn’t do it and I think Maia would have problems and their subs are off the charts compared to Bizzzzy’s.
