I don’t understand how Sapp has won all the fights he has. All the ones I’m seen, he falls on the ground and starts crying and taps out. This guy is a joke.

Yeah the guy is a wimp. I remember seeing when cro crop knocked him down and he literally started to cry.

This is Lashley’s to lose. He clearly has the better wrestling and Sapp is terrible on his back.
If lashley doesn’t let himself get into a slugging match he should demolish him in the first via GnP as Sapp taps from strikes.

I called this one perfectly! I just knew Sapp would tap from strikes the big puss!
by Ca$z on Jun 28, 2009 11:56 AM EDT up reply actions
To be fair Ca$z, you didn’t need a crystal ball to predict the outcome, that was a no brainer!
by attakdog on Jun 28, 2009 12:02 PM EDT up reply actions
Haha….I know I just thought it was a little more of a special prediction as I said he would tap from strikes which is exactly what he did!
I guess I’ll go and stroke my ego somewhere else then… :-(

Sapp tapping from strikes???? No never, I dont believe it. lol, no ego stroking here my psychic friend.

@Ca$z – now if only you could predict Lesnar vs. Mir with the same pinpoint accuracy

The best fight watch Sapp in (for entertainment) is against Nog. His gorilla strength was giving Nog some real problems, but Nogs abilty to take punishment (back then) and his stamina and sub skills came through. Highly entertaining. Sapp is still a joke though, but he getting paid good money to be one. No I wouldn’t say it to his face, maybe text message.

Getting a win over Sapp is about as impressive as getting a win over Muhammad Ali today.

yeh, this has done nothing for lash, at least if he came out to bang with sapp he could have shown that he has stand up skills. This fight proves jack shit, lash is borring to watch. I cant belive i was quite hyped for this. boooooo!
by Insain on Jun 28, 2009 10:21 AM EDT up reply actions
Well said, proves nothing. Lashley fight someone decent and relevant next time and Bullrush Bob retire already. For such an enormous bloke you come across as the worlds biggest coward, I feel embarassed for you!

I don’t know about that insain, I think it is a very good win for a guy with 3 fights and wants to get the attention of alot of people. Was it “boring”? Maybe, but that is his thing, wrestling. I thought it was smart and it got the win. You all keep saying, fighters that do not stick to there game-plan are dumb and guys that do are wimps. Make up your minds. I have 1 question, how big is Sapp’s head.
by iagoof22 on Jun 28, 2009 12:10 PM EDT up reply actions
Holy shirt! This fight was so boring I just fell asleep at my keyboard, I didn’t even realize it ended!
I agree, this fight doesn’t prove anything. Actually it does, big guys tap like little bitches, a la Brock.
by UFC Champ on Jun 28, 2009 12:06 PM EDT up reply actions
Brock tapped coz his ankle was about to get broken! Sapp tapped coz he just didn’t fancy fighting anymore. The two are hardly comparable.
by attakdog on Jun 28, 2009 1:27 PM EDT up reply actions
They are comparable, it shows big guys can dish it but can’t take it.
Brock was pretty quick to tap, just gave up just like that. Sapp on the other hand tapped while getting shots to the head? Well somebody better tell him he’s in the wrong business.

“it shows big guys can dish it but can’t take it” LMAO just amazing ignorance!
So Lesnar’s a pussy for tapping out to a joint lock? What was he supposed to do, lie there suck it up, wait for his ankle to snap, get a stand up then carry on throwing punches??
He had nothing to do but tap!! Whereas Sapp could have tried to stiffle Lashley, get a standup or at the very least hang in till the end of the round and see how it went second round.

sapp is a big baby.. it would be nice to see lashley against some higher competition. i thought he could’ve finished the fight sooner if he had full mounted him. i think he is still raw and lacks technique, but working with att is a step in the right direction.

Dana will be looking to sign Lashley soon. He’s going to need someone to fight the seemingly unstoppable Lesnar after Mir and this will be a big draw. Two very athletic, 6’3, 260lb wrestlers throwing down. I’ll buy. Who would win and why?
by mma junkie on Jun 28, 2009 10:42 AM EDT reply actions
Lashley is garbage. He is not as good a wrestler as Lesnar. His alleged stand-up game is way behind Lesnar. He is not nearly as strong as Lesnar. Brock would push Lashley up against the cage, pound on him with fists and knees throughout the first round, then finish him off in the second.
by PW on Jun 28, 2009 12:09 PM EDT up reply actions
I know I’m not a Brock fan, but I have to say even I think Brock has Lashley covered easily. Lashley vs Kimbo would be a good start.
by UFC Champ on Jun 28, 2009 12:11 PM EDT up reply actions
Give the guy a break. He tripped and fell on to Sapp, or else he would have show us his stand up.
by Alex on Jun 28, 2009 11:08 AM EDT up reply actions
like i said a few times in the past. this fight will suck and it did. my prediction was – Lashley will storm to sapp and pound him out while sapp does nothing. took a little longer then expected though

Wish you’d told me! I had Sapp by gogoplata in round 3. lol

I’m a little disgusted with the lack of respect some of you have for these warriors. All you guys do is type shit, when you call ANYONE who steps in the cage a joke. You al like this sport enough to give guys their respect.

I think the sh!t Bob Sapp gets is thoroughly deserved! He took a measley few blows last night and tapped out like a coward!!
Did you see Heath Herring tapping out from Lesnar’s relentless onslaught despite having his cheek broken in the first 30 seconds???
Did you see Kongo tapping out from the relentless blows reigned down on him by Velazquez????
No you didn’t! Those are examples of TRUE warriors, certainly not Bullrush Bob Sapp!

Please Dana, find a way to sign Fedor before we get a stupid Lashley vs Lesnar bout for the UFC HW title.
Because that would definitely be awful for MMA fans (yet great for folks named Buck Gunsteaktruck).

This only made me want to see Tim Sylvia vs Bob Sapp.

Thanks MMAMania.com for the video.
Great performance for Lashley.
Sapp is a freak.

Good fight for Lashley only in the sense that it gets him more publicity but it really didn’t prove anything and Buck GunSteakTruck… thats fucking awesome!
