good call! Hazelett is by far the better striker and they’re about even on the ground, maybe give the advantage to Hazelett as well. I like Dustin in that fight my friend.

Props C-War,
that wuld be an AWESOME fight..

slight edge standing to Hazelett

BUT

on the ground i’d have to give a small advantage to the Gracie trained jitz of Shields over the Gurgel trained jitz of Hazelette!

Good fight tho!

Doesnt matter who they got trained by , its how they use it in the cage , and Hazelett uses his much better in the cage .. atleast imho .

Hazelett has some of the best aggressive mma Jitz I’ve ever seen. I don’t think Shields is at the same level.

He’s ducking Riggs; he knows a loss to Riggs is very possible and it would set his carreer way back. I don’t think he wants any part of Diesel because
A) it’s not a fight that has an upside for him
B) Rigg’s is definatley capable of beating him

Given reason A, I can definatley see why he wouldn’t bother with Riggs, it’s like treading water. But given reason B, I can’t respect that decision.

I think Jake Shields is a stud and i hope he eventually ends up in the UFC i think all the best matches are for him there… and as his fight with Lawler thats exactly how i saw it going Jake getting picked apart in the stand up Jake getting the takedown eventully for the submission i just didnt think it was going to go that fast wow he went up in my book for that fight….

Every time I see a picture of Benji Radach I can’t help but cringe about his martial art being called “Facesmashing Fu.” That is one of the LAMEST fuckin things I’ve seen. I used to like him, still kind of do, but Facesmashing Fu? That’s embarrassing.

This kid has some serious talent but he will NEVER be considered top 3 talent until he drops Strikeforce and comes to the UFC. PERIOD! Your not at the top of the hill fighting guys like Paul Daley, Lawler…ect. They are good just not as good as GSP, Alves, Fitch, Kos….

Who the hell is Jon Fish? Haha.

Jake Shields seem like a genuinely cool guy. But he would get eated Alive by Georges St. Pierre or Thiago Alves. It’s a not contest. Jake’s TD are sloppy and his striking is just painful to watch it’s so horrid.

I’d love to see Fitch vs Shields.

If Shields fights in August, then in October or November, he could then sign with the UFC to fight at the end of January.

Jake’s Jiu-Jitsu is rather nice, but his striking is just plain horrible. It looked especially bad in the fight with Robbie Lawlor. Jake was intimidated by the striking of Lawlor, and it showed. Big Kudos though for pulling off the sub though
