MMA Quick Quote: Bob Sapp is going to 'wreck' Bobby Lashley at 'Ultimate Chaos'

"[Bobby Lashley is] looking for a train wreck. I’m the train that’s going to wreck him. He’s expecting me to go three rounds ... no. I’m going to knock him out. He’s looking for me? He’ll see me after I knock him out and he’s laying there looking up at me. Everybody’s going to see what ‘Ultimate Chaos’ means ... me and Bobby Lashley."

-- Bob "The Beast" Sapp puts the finishing touches on the trash talk during the final pre-fight press conference before his colossal collision with former professional wrestling champion Bobby Lashley. The pair of giants will headline "Ultimate Chaos" this weekend, which is slated to air on pay-per-view (PPV) from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Miss., on Saturday, June 27. It's certainly not expected to capture "Fight of the Year" honors; however, it is a rather interesting match up on otherwise interesting fight card that also includes Pedro Rizzo, Gilbert Yvel, Din Thomas, Tom Atencio and Chris Horodecki, among others. So can Lashley survive the early onslaught that Sapp promises or is "The Beast" all bark and no bite? And can Sapp survive more than one round if his early knockout predicition does not come to fruition?

Bobby Lashley will knock him out in the 1st round, the first big shot Lashley hits him with will drop him :P

by jumbo joe on Jun 26, 2009 7:23 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I bet thats what they said about Hoost – but sapp dealt with some huge shots in both fights – didnt gas too much and came out the winner.

Sapp by TKO end of R1

That was a loooooooooong time ago! Did you see Sapp against Jan Nortje, I think that’s a more relevant measuring stick for where Sapp’s at right now!

My Prediction: Lashley by “Big Elbow” in round 1 after knocking Sapp down with a fold up chair.

Yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Witty retort, may I suggest an exclamation mark at the end for impact?

Noted!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oskarbravo- that was the most hilarious joke ever. SOOOO ORIGINAL!!! I totally get it! Because he was in WWE before. And THEY use fold up chairs in their shows! I get it! Wow! No one else has ever thought of that type of humor before. Thank you for making my night.

Thanks for being a faggot.

I must admit, I didn’t think for a second that was going to slip through moderation! I love the Internet.

by oskarbravo on Jun 26, 2009 10:46 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I love the way you use CAPITAL LETTERS to emphasise your point. You are clearly an intellectual.

by oskarbravo on Jun 26, 2009 9:28 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

So are you with your cutting edge humour, even managing to incorporate Lashleys pro wrestling background. Inspired! If the tonight show are looking for a new host Oskarbravo you could be the man.

by attakdog on Jun 26, 2009 9:34 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

What makes you think that was a joke about his wrestling background? That was a legitimate fight prediction.

by oskarbravo on Jun 26, 2009 10:48 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

hahaha girl fight

I predict this fight is going to fall into 1 of two categories:

A) Your casual Bob Sapp dive in first 20-30 seconds of round 1.

B) A horrible affair where both of them gas and look awful.

by DirtyML on Jun 26, 2009 7:43 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Good analysis. I’m going with B.

Hope we get to see Sapp cowering when he’s taking punches, so funny to watch a man of his size covering up like a small child!

by attakdog on Jun 26, 2009 8:26 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah watching Sapp do his ‘raise an arm’ and lower the rest of his body and face away from the attacker, is always a classic.

When Mirko punched him in the face and busted his orbital bone and he cried on the ground, I think that is when he became scared to get hit.

by DirtyML on Jun 26, 2009 11:05 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yes I agree about CC. For such a giant man he doesn’t half come over as a wimp sometimes.

by attakdog on Jun 26, 2009 11:18 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

gotta give sapp credit for his ability to hype his fights. sure the guys a freak show. but you get a funny feeling that he knows it.

by JB on Jun 26, 2009 8:35 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

i’m surprised anyone gives a rats ass about these 2 let alone the fact they are fighting.

by Phil Baloni on Jun 26, 2009 8:58 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

First, I agree and think Sapp knows he is a freak show, but it pays the bills. Second, the only Sapp will be wrecking is the buffet at the event.

Still for some odd reason, I enjoy watching him fight.

by Jeff on Jun 26, 2009 9:24 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Oh big time! I wanna see this fight. Well…umm..ok so I wanna see the 1st minute ha ha. And if it doesn’t end with a flash ko then I wouldn’t care cause it’ll be a pitiful hug match. That lashley will win. But he might just put the big bear into hybernation from boredom. Lashley is so boring @ least the old tired sapp will push the action…til he gases…after 1 minute lol. But hey he looked so cool bench pressing actors in longest yard ha ha. Go sapp I guess

by Daniel worby on Jun 26, 2009 10:02 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Either Sapp by frog splash or Lashley by Von Erich Claw

by T-Rex on Jun 26, 2009 10:05 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Oops I mean Lashley via TKO…

by T-Rex on Jun 26, 2009 10:05 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I not call fights like this legitimate MMA. This is more of a bar fight out back. That said I think Lashley will take Sapp out easily!!!!!

by Spyder on Jun 26, 2009 12:14 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Good call, Sapp. Once again, holds the distinct honor of being one of those big hearted fighters who tap from STRIKES. And it wasnt even that bad of a beating.

Lashley didnt really impress me either. Theres a few on youtube on the comments section of the lashley / sapp fight video who seem to think lashley would beat Lesnar…..no f’ing way. Brock would destroy either of these two clowns.
