lol, really though, Bonner is a lock.

I wouldnt call him a lock after his last performance against a wrestler (jones) but, he is pretty damn close to a lock. I think Bonnar coming of a serious knee injury and ring rust had a lot to do with im being Dominated by Jones. Not taking anything away from JOnes, cause Im a fan of that young stud, but Normally, BOnnar would have made for a much tougher opponent then he was on the night he fought jOnes.
I dont think fans factor in injuries, long lay offs and cage rust when they are analyzing match ups. That Crap makes a WORLD of a difference, so I would assume that BOnnar will look a whole lot better in this fight. He will be in good shape, and he should use his technical boxing to stay on the outside and pick Coleman apart, while avoiding takedowns….his fight should play out really similar to the Bispingt/Hendo fight. Same game plan for BOnnar and Bisping, and I expect both to walk away with the decision. HOwever if Coleman gasses early, BOnnar could put him away!

Yeah, I agree. It was clear how dissapointed was after his loss to bones. I think he has trained his ass off and will be recovered and in good-shape for this fight. I also think Jones is the next big thing so I wouldn’t fault him for that loss even if he was 100%.

Is the girl interviewing Bonnar retarded, or just sad at doing interviews? She should go back to waiting tables. Mark is going to knock him out!!

The only way that chick should be doing interviews is if she was naked and not talking.

He’ll be in great shape this time around because he’s training with cardio machine Phil Baroni.

Why does ufc wastes money on coleman?
Are people still interested to see him fight?
by ryan on Jun 23, 2009 11:59 PM EDT reply actions
i cant imagine anybody enjoying seeing this old buzzard getting his ass handed to him. may as well break out the dude with no arms or legs and have a good ole alabama freak show.

I am interested in seeing Coleman fight. He is the godfather of GnP. He won’t gas out so early this time. It was his first time fighting at 205 in his last fight so I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

id take Bonnar at -600 if the line ends up getting that low. Bonnar by threes rounds of geezer pounding.
by bmo on Jun 24, 2009 12:56 AM EDT up reply actions
He had his time back then. Its pointless for him to make a comback.
by ryan on Jun 24, 2009 1:39 AM EDT up reply actions
He very nearly won his last match, so it can’t be all that pointless. You could say it is pointless for Bonner to continue fighting because he’ll never get the belt, it all depends on how you look at it. I have a lot of respect for Coleman, he is one of the originals, the guy is fighting to feed his family. Bonner seems like an ok guy, but I him getting that descision over Jardine still annoys me. I will be rooting for Coleman.

People don’t give Mark Coleman enough credit. Sure he is not as good as he used to be but he is still a capable fighter in my opinion.
Look at his most recent losses: Shogun, Fedor twice, CroCop, Nogueira. (The loss against Crocop was in Pride when CroCop was a top 5 fighter.) Not many people would be able to win against those fighters. It’s not like he has lost to bums like Ken Shamrock so give the dude a break.
So if you would pick Bonner at -600, you’re crazy. Do you think Bonner would be able to beat any of the fighters Coleman lost to? I didn’t think so.
by ProKev on Jun 24, 2009 5:05 AM EDT reply actions
If Coleman is in shape he could beat alot of guys at 205.

Interviewer: “like omg… Mark Coleman.. said.. that if you two got in a fight.. that like… he would totally win..!!!”
Is she in 5th grade or something?

I’m going for Coleman this time. I’ve been his fan way back. I hope he doesn’t gas out early.
