Don’t get audio at work. Somebody break it down please? Thanks.

by OJR on Jun 23, 2009 2:01 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Kenny says nobody is giving him much of a chance. But that BJ is a whiney little b*tch and hes ready to make him quit again! That he will drop hellbows on BJ’s Mama if she trys to help him out.

by JV on Jun 23, 2009 2:05 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Kenny is the smartest in-cage fighter in the division. He adapts so well to his opponents and he’s one of the best at capitalizing on his opponent’s misktakes. I think Kenny will weather an early storm from Penn and start to break him down and wear him out in the championship rounds. Kenny is extremely technical and is very precise. What he lacks in strength and speed he makes up for with his patience and precision. I think BJ is still training the way he always does and beating on rude boy can only elevate you so far. Kenny gets around to different camps and challenges himself constantly. BJ just sita back and expects to get what he feels he deserves…this is a case of the tortoise and the hare…hard work and determination will win out.

WAR FLORINI!!!

I am rooting for BJ but I would not be surprised if Ken Flo wins.

by OJR on Jun 23, 2009 2:15 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I still think BJ is the most talented LW, but Kenny is doing all the right things in training, seeking out GSP’s help, and continuing to evole. I’m taking “Florini” for the upset.

by Cole on Jun 23, 2009 2:18 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I am rooting for Florian. Could you imagine if all of the 5 champs was legit “Martial Artists”.? Florian, St-Pierre, Silva, Machida and Mir. How sweet would that be?

by Dragon on Jun 23, 2009 2:40 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I wouldn’t trust anything that comes out of Buster’s mouth cough(Rashad) cough(Guida)…

by TheEder on Jun 23, 2009 3:03 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’m not a huge Guida fan…I was just going for him cause I don’t care for Diego and I admire his attitude, heart, and determination.

I am, however, the biggest Rashad nutthugger known to exist and will ride deez nutts right back to the title.

by Buster Bluth on Jun 23, 2009 3:10 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

And i guess you will ride them back to him getting kocked out be Rampage

by SLEEPER on Jun 23, 2009 3:37 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I think I’m betting Ken-Flo, but I won’t call it one of my picks. It really depends on what kind of BJ shows up to fight. I think if he shows up sloppy, Kenny wins. And I think if he shows up ready, Kenny has a decent shot. So I figure why not bet the underdog.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Jun 23, 2009 4:05 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

because ken-flow is a bitch

by SLEEPER on Jun 23, 2009 4:21 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Rashad will never be UFC champion again! He couldnt cut down to middleweight and become champion. Get off the SUga cool aid….It was a bunch of Hype! Top 5 for sure, but will never be #1 again.

by John G on Jun 23, 2009 4:47 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

So Sleeper, what does that make the guy who said he’d fight to the death, then threw in the towel?

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Jun 23, 2009 5:32 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

haha jv thats what i heard to brotha!!

by day1er on Jun 23, 2009 6:50 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Bunch of hype? Oh john…you’re so silly. Your boy turned down a title fight…he turned it down. I think that is the first time in UFC history that someone has done that…if anyone is drinking the kool aid…it’s quinton and that should scare every motorist and pedestrian out there.

by Buster Bluth on Jun 24, 2009 8:10 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

bj is a bitch to lost a lot of respect for him after the last fight but ken-flow i just hate him even more

by SLEEPER on Jun 24, 2009 10:40 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Kenny’s mind is in the right place and his progression has been nothing but stellar. I think he’s going to win a split decision over BJ. It very questionable to me that BJ will be a better fighter after the GSP fight, he’s never been beat like that before and it was obviously very mentally devistating.

Please win Kenny.

too bad for kenny, Diego will beat the crap out of him and walk it dry.

by james wilks on Jun 23, 2009 2:07 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I really look forward to eventually seeing Kenny vs. Diego 2. That fight will be amazing. I also would like to see how a rematch between Sherk vs. Kenny plays out. Sherk vs. Diego isnt bad either. Interesting fights at the top of the uFC LW division.

I think could pull it off. I’m thinking upset here, but who’s to say.

As much as I don’t like Kenny “I wish I was Lyoto Machida” Florian, I’d like to see him kick BJ “I’m the biggest spoiled brat in all of MMA right now” Penn’s ass.

BJ loses he will retire. YOU WATCH. His ego can’t handle a loss to Kenny.

BJ Penn is so bent up over Greasegate he’s probably not even really training seriously yet.

Kenny is going to shock the world and shut up a lot of haters when he dismantles BJ Penn

by zachy on Jun 23, 2009 2:17 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

He’s not gonna shock anybody; look at these threads, like 70% of the posters here are calling it a win for Ken Flo already. Crazy talk; but w/e, reality will set in sometime in rd 2 probably when Penn starts eating him alive.

by O damn he got caught on Jun 23, 2009 2:19 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i think your living in the past, bj has stood still, mma has evolved, just heis boxing and bjj are not good enough to carry him to a title. he is not well rounded, no kicking game, poor wrestling, terrible work ethic, bad cardio, no motivation, and a mamas boy. bj will retire after this latest loss, people forget he is only 4-4 his last 8 fights, hardly worthy of the name prodigy.

by dtoto on Jun 23, 2009 6:12 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

You’re assuming that after the beating he took from GSP; he’s not making any adjustments. I don’t know that he is or isn’t but I’m not passing judgement; and if BJ Penn comes in in shape and on top of his game, Kenny will be lucky to make it out of Rd 3.

by O damn he got caught on Jun 24, 2009 8:10 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

lol, and I’ll bet you Penn used up more energy in the 1st round against GSP fighting off the TD then he will in 2-3 rds against Kenny Florian. Florian is not Georges, just because Georges beat him down and physically overpowered him (Georges also had like a 6 inch reach advantage) doesn’t mean that Kenny can do the same thing. You guys would really love for it to happen I’m sure; but like I said; about rd 2 reality is going to set in.

by O damn he got caught on Jun 24, 2009 8:13 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

well im not a God so who knows whos going to win but bjs own people think hes an ass,he doesnt train like he should,he could be great but he has the short mans attitude and a temper. So who knows but i will tell you this the bj pen time is over. he had a oppertunity to be good for the hawaiian people and kids but he just cant seem to clean up his mouth or his act. I hope he gets smoked.

Have a great day

it sounds like a lot of people think they know bj penn…

True…Penn could be a humble guy away from the camera

by ja434650 on Jun 23, 2009 6:06 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

BJ could be great but he doesn’t train like everyone else Florian is in great shape and will not get tired. Florian by BJ gassing.

by Mike on Jun 23, 2009 2:45 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

A year ago I would not have given Florian a snowball’s chance in hell of lasting more than a couple of rounds, let alone winning the fight. Now, I have to say, I think it will be relatively close.

Florian will be elusive on his feet for as long as he can and he could probably steal a round that way if all goes well for him. I would imagine the fight will go to the ground at some point in the first or second and that’s where I am most curious about Florian’s skill level. Could he actually put pressure on BJ here or is he gonna get dominated or somewhere in between?

I see Florian as a very intelligent fighter who always brings it to the absolute best of his ability. He’s a survivor. BJ’s weakness has always been his conditioning and his inability to turn things around in longer fights that aren’t going his way. If he gets out of the gate early and gets Florian hurt, he could run away with the fight. If Florian turns it into a long, drawn out war of attrition that goes to the judges, he could certainly squeak out the W. Florian finishing BJ is almost inconceivable, but if he does, then the era of BJ Penn is over.

I was a huge fan of BJ Penn prior to the GSP fight. I want very much for him to win big against Florian and show that he is still by far the most dominant LW in the world. However, I’ve lost a little faith in his method of preparation. Other guys are constantly training with the best in the world and challenging themselves. While Penn has improved his focus since the Hughes loss, I’m not sure if he’s been keeping pace with the harder working Florian’s of the world. Sure, he’s way more talented, but sometimes hard work beats talent. We will have to see if the loss to GSP has been good or bad for his state of mind and work ethic. If it’s been good, then he is going to tear through Florian in a big way. If he hasn’t changed much, then look to see him frustrated in the later rounds and perhaps falling short in a close decision.

I hope BJ shows that he’s still the man at LW. This is a must win and must win big fight for him in my mind.

Kenny is smart, well spoken, and a good fighter. Although, he is no BJ Penn.

War Penn!!!

i think kenny’s foot work will play a big part in this fight bj has great boxin but is similar to sherk when penn and sherk fought they stood rite in fron of each other and box i think if kenny can do the same thing frankie edger did to sherk i think he has a good chance and one other thing that really impressed me in kenny’s recent fight his wrestling has improved so much since he lost to sherk kenny i a prime example of how much mma is growing yu have to be well rounded know days or yu will get left behind if your not evolve kinda like sherk is

by guess on Jun 23, 2009 2:57 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Is anybody else going to the fight? Section 102 BAY BAY!! Trying to think of some places around the city that if ppl would wanna pregame (besides the parking lot of course) bc the Phillies are playing that night and I think there is an event in the Linc.

War Forrest ( Even though I know his chances of winning aren’t much better than that of Kalib “running man” Starnes being a UFC fighter again.

War Florian!!! Yea i got for that. bc KenFlo is gonna whoop on that baby ass to a title!

by charr552 on Jun 23, 2009 3:36 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I hope Ken Flo takes the W, and kick BJs ass !!

Kenny’s is going to muay thai his face. I like bj but i think he’s going to lose this one.

by Ktown on Jun 23, 2009 3:59 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Ken Flo did step it up after losing to Sherk. BJ has been in alot of fights. I think we are starting to see the twilight of BJ’s career. His last 3 wins have been vs twilight fighters. Sean Sherk – after the roid thing he has won 1 time vs Tyson Griffin with IMO a Bad UD and has alot of fights. Joe “man humpper” Stevenson – this guy has to do some major retooling to make a run in the UFC again and has alot of fights. Jens Pulver not sure what to say about Old Jens other then He is Done put him to bed… Ok that being said the last good fight vs a Top fighter was BJ vs GSP 1, Hughes & Uno. BJ better go back to that crazy MoFO that got down with Machida if he thinks he is going to win vs Ken Flo.

KEN FLO WAR

by Xsjado on Jun 23, 2009 4:26 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

At 30 yrs old there is no reason that BJ Penn should not been in his absolute prime as an mma fighter right now. If he trains right and has the right drive then he should be the best he’s ever been against Kenny.

I’d like to see BJ establish his dominance in the next 2 years at LW by crushing all of the top guys: Kenny, Diego Sanchez, Edgar, Tyson, Maynard, and whoever else they line up.

Then maybe, just maybe he might get another shot at GSP before he retires. Probably not, though, but he has to at least shoot for a possible redemption fight.

Most disappointing super fight of all time: Penn/GSP 2.

by revjames13 on Jun 23, 2009 6:11 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Kenny wins the best eye brow contest. He looks like that Wooly Willy toy where you move the metal pieces around with the magnet to give the guy really bushy awkward facial hair.
