UFC Quick Quote: Chris Lytle wants Kevin Burns to take him out on June 20

"I expect Kevin to try to come out and try to take me out, and that's what I like. I don't want to fight a guy who thinks he can beat me in a decision. Don't try to beat me in a decision, try to take me out. That's how I am. I'm going to try to take you out, so you should try to take me out. I think that's the kind of fight we'll have. I want to finish a fight. So when that happens I win in spectacular fashion, or else I put on a great fight. I'm not going to lie, I love the bonus -- the extra money -- but even if they weren't giving me extra money I'd want to fight that way."
-- Welterweight workhorse Chris Lytle shares his thoughts with MMAFanhouse on his upcoming bout with Kevin Burns at The Ultimate Fighter Finale 9 at "The Pearl" from the Palms Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 20. "Lights Out" has been racking up mucho dinero courtesy of multiple "Fight of the Night" honors with an aggressive style that Lytle contends would not change regardless of the potential for bonus money. Does Burns have the fire to stand and trade with the former boxer? Or is the full time fireman about to get hosed by the hungry up-and-comer? Thoughts?

Looking forward to this scrap; both guys got good hands and good ground games; of course I have to go with Lytle, but Burns could definatley win this fight.

Great read, kevin.
Thanks.
So I guess this begs the question :
Will Kimbo learn from his past mistakes w/ Bass?

Well, he was right. The Peruzelli fight didn’t go to the ground.

Sure it did PW; Seth just didn’t go down there with him.

bro, I post shit that I find all day! I’m not picky or biased. half of what I post (links) don’t make it up or end up on front page! I think Kimbo is a joke and called it when it comes to him losing and walking off show! Obsessed, no, just trying to push fact that he sucks. Believe it or not alpha, there are people out there that think he’s legit and think he can fight! Those same people don’t even know who Bas or Fedor even are! Just trying to spread the word of real fans!

NOw we are finally talking about an exciting fighter! When Lytle promises that he will stand in front of his opponent and Bang it out…He delivers! Unlike self proclaimed exciting fighters like Marcus ~Davis and Clay Guida who think they are the next coming of wanderlie, the way they talk about how exciting they are yet try to squeeze out decision wins by doing NOTHING and taking their opponents down at the end of every round!
I thing is for sure, you wont see Lytle going for cheesy take downs at the end of the rounds….He know how an exciting fighter like him and Wanderlei end rounds!… They tuck their chin down and swing for the fences!
Its hard to not love a guy like lytle!

All this talk about Lytle finishing fights and he has gone to decision 3 times in a row. Dont care.

Did you watch those last 3 fights or just look it up on sherdog??? Cause those fights were exiting stand up wars!

I’m a Lytle fan, I don’t see how you can’t dislike the guy, he’s never been in a boring fight and is always respectful towards his opponents. I don’t see Burns winning this one, Lytle will probabaly take this by decision in another FOTN. I’d like to see him face Condit or Hardy next.
