Good fights; I wouldn’t mind seeing the Guillard vs Tibau fight but Lytle vs Burns should be a good scrap so I can’t say I’d swap one for the other.

by O damn he got caught on Jun 18, 2009 1:42 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

this season i only really liked 2 people, demarcus and frank….cant wait for september tho lol and the finally is gunna be chronic

by JG on Jun 18, 2009 1:52 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I wouldn’t mind that either, they’re younger and hungrier than Lytle/Burns is.. I think they made a mistake there

by RoB on Jun 18, 2009 2:10 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i dont really think wilks is good just fought frankie twice

by JG on Jun 18, 2009 4:21 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Lytle better wear OSHA-approved safety goggles.

by PW on Jun 18, 2009 2:11 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Nah PW,Lytle need to have fire in his eyes to get the W!

Burns is no joke. He tapped Carniero, who may not be a great MMA fighter, but he was looking good in that particular fight. He also hung in with AJ (who everyone here LOVES) for 4+ rounds. Lytle is by no means a lock, I wouldn’t be too surprised to see Burns take a decision here. But I think Lytle does get the win here.

Tibau gets a quick guillotine submission win here.

Andre beats Ross
Wilkes beats Damarcus
Dent taps Dollar in the first
Nate TKO over Joe Daddy
Diego UD over Guida (but would love to see Huggie tap to punches)
Mike C
Garcia
Nick will beat the crap out of Frankie.

Official JJ™ TUF Finale Season 9 main card picks:

Sanchez
Diaz
Burns
DeMarques
Winner

Obviously Tibau beats Melvin as well, but I’m not messing with undercard picks. The tough calls are the Burns/Lytle fight and the DeMarques/Wilkes fight. Burns has potential, but has he learned enough to beat a solid veteran like Lytle? I hope so.

I agree with almost all your picks Syn except for the Andre/Ross fight. And I believe that Diego and Nate will get the W by RNC!
BTW Syn did you send me a message on PSN the other day?

I messaged you about a week and a half ago.

“tho lol and the finally is gunna be chronic”
can someone translate this for me please!
Demarques is a douche bag, I hope he gets his arm snapped!
Kimbo gets KO’d in his first fight on the new season of TUF and leaves the show (why would he stay on with no chance to win). This isn’t rumor…I believe it to be 95% true!

Syn
Sorry bud I didn’t check. That tell you a lot about my progression in the game huh!I wasn’t trying to ignored you!I’ll hola at ya tonight!

Kev great news if is true that explain why he’s at Gracie Barra right now!

who’s at gracie barra?

by kevin on Jun 18, 2009 5:37 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Kimbo.

by Jeremyjackson on Jun 18, 2009 7:18 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

since when??? oh, since he got KO’d and stormed off the show like a bitch!!
my shoulder hyrts from calling this the day it was announced he’d be on tuf! Track back maniacs, I said he’d lose his first fight and with no chance at winning leave the show!!!

by kevin on Jun 18, 2009 7:20 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

what i wanna know is who did it! I’d be happy for Marcus Jones if it was him..

by RoB on Jun 18, 2009 8:01 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

who cares! Actually, I hope it was the weakest prospect!

by kevin on Jun 18, 2009 8:05 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Lester vs Osipczak!!!

Nice matchmaking.

That fight better make the main card because it could be the most entertaining fight of the night. Firstly, they need to show Gleison choke out Melvin in 15 seconds.

by ViolentMike on Jun 18, 2009 1:42 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

lol its ether gunna be a ko in less then a min by melvin or a submission in the first min by gleison

by JG on Jun 18, 2009 1:55 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

nO JG…Its gonna be a submission in 15 seconds by Tibau! He trains with Alves…he can take a punch!

Frank vs. NIck could easily steal the show!

by JOhn G on Jun 18, 2009 3:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Wanderlei should hang out at ATT for a week and learn how to cut weight. Alves, Tibau and Brown all drop some serious pounds in the weeks leading up to their fights(Alves:30 lbs, Tibau:25 lbs, Brown:20 lbs).

GSP and Marquardt over at Jackson’s camp seem to have it down as well. GSP cuts 20 and never gets tired, despite looking sucked dry at the weigh-ins.

by Jeremyjackson on Jun 18, 2009 3:11 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, I like that Frank and Nick fight too. Neither guy looked too great on the show, but both showed solid stand up and tons of heart and aggression. Should be a real good fight.

by Amos on Jun 18, 2009 2:14 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Melvin’s my boy, I hope they show his fight. I also he learned some submission defense! Melvin’s standup is probably the best in the division.

by griffinfan05 on Jun 18, 2009 2:03 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Melvin will be tapping…again. Finally he may be relegated to strike force or some other small show.

by Big Daddio on Jun 18, 2009 2:15 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I don’t consider “Strikeforce” a small show.

by markie on Jun 18, 2009 2:40 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

anyone got more word on the kimbo rumor that he got either chocked or ko’d in the first fight of the show?

by Mascarita on Jun 18, 2009 2:38 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

How about you wait until the fucking show airs. There will be a discussion forum at an appropriate time.

Thanks Pdub! Spoilers suck!

Frankie!!

Glad he’s on this card. Him vs. Nick is a good matchup

by T-Rex on Jun 18, 2009 2:40 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Lester will lose a UD… they want him to win, but he won’t.

Everyone could see Dent Vs Dollar was gonna happen, Dent will finally get his first UFC win.

Wilks and Winner will be the new TUF champs.

And Clay Guida will get found out and defeated by Sanchez, 3rd round TKO.

by Paul on Jun 18, 2009 2:43 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Guida by decision
Nate Diaz by SUB
Chris Lytle by decision
