omg i didnt even notice gonzaga was fighting on this card!

i’m a huge fan of gonzaga win or lose he’s not in a boring fight… i’m pretty pissed that he gives up so easily but oh well…. WAR GONZAGA

y the hell is gouveia/irvin on the undercard??? that has fireworks written all over it

by ufcaddict on Jun 17, 2009 11:25 AM EDT up reply actions

so in 2 fights so far i see mmaweekly has them posted and they had 2 split decisions in which one judge scored 30-27? i don’t see how that would be at all

oh well i guess good fights so far on the undercard?

by randy murders on Aug 29, 2009 8:32 PM EDT up reply actions

ONe judge said 30-27 for one fighter, the other two probably said 29-28 for the other fighter. Similar to when Forrest and Tito fought.

My basic problem with the UFC, Report has Leben on top with
“Rosholt gets full guard now. Elbow from Rosholt and Leben works in some body shots. The ref stands them up.” You don’t win a fight when you are on your back and the referee saves you. Get the referee out of the match. When someone is on their back and the referee saves them and stands them up, don’t tell me the guy on his back who was rescued by the referee won the fight.

it’s a decent card.

Any good tips for seating on this? I actually heard floor seats can suck pretty bad depending on where you are at. Plus they are at $600.

Irvin vs Wilson should be opening up the maincad someones getting dropped hard. Or the Dos Santos fight should be up there Mccully is gonna get KTFO

by Ground fighting is love making on Jun 17, 2009 2:44 PM EDT reply actions

worst card ever. ill take marquardt vs. maia. all the other fights could be on the undercard of any ufc. couture vs. nog is to little to late. i guess watching dos santos take mccullys head off will be nice. veach may be the most exciting fighter on the card but he is buried in the undercard. oh well with cards like 100 and 101 you have to come down at some point.

by day1er on Jun 17, 2009 7:12 PM EDT reply actions

WOW are you serious? 100, if I had to rate it is a little better. 101 is way below 102. 100 has 3 good fights and 101 has two. 102 has 5 great fights. Maybe you should look at the cards again.

by Bluepit on Jun 17, 2009 9:06 PM EDT up reply actions

Dood, you are living up to your name. It’s like it’s the first time you are watching a UFC event and expect 4 title fights on one card. This should be a very good night of fights.

Don’t forget, styles make fights and what some newbies may consider boring may actually be chess matches that those in the know realize are fantastic fights from a stylistic perspective.

Very excited for this card. Hoping Dunham has a good showing. Get to be there in person with great seats, and there should be some real wars even though there are some fighters that are not as well known and a couple of octagon debuts tonight. Imo, sometimes its better that way.

John, you were right boy! Nogueira’s boxing really looked good. I got 4 picks wrong, Couture, MAia, Aurelio, and Herman. But the rest were spot on. Congrats to Nog, he still has it! Good thing he’s still 33

Nog’s not gonna do too well against Lesnar!

What an incredible card! Nog vs Couture was a sick fight, man I wish that could have been 5 rounds what a war!
