why isnt maia/marquardt the co-main event!!???!!
either way i think jardine/silva should be very exciting

both fights are match ups between top 10-15 fighters in their respected divisions. Maia and Marquardt probably have bigger title implications then the Jardin/Silva fight, but either way…the people of Oregon are going to be treated to 3 high caliber match ups with title implications!
THere is no doubt in my mind that Jardine/silva will steal the show! THat fight is going to be a brutal war! There will be blood! I can see those 2 beating the crap out of each other for 3 rounds of back n fourth action…I would like that fight to go to the ground at some point! Silva has great JIts, and I hear that Jardine is a high level grappler as well, but we never get to see it….
If Maia can submit Marquardt….Sky is the limit for Demien!

This is a dam good card. Randy will smash Nog, then john will cry like a little girl. Jardine, Nate, Leben, Dos Santos FTW. Irvin/Gouveia, Gouveia has more tools to win the fight. If he fights a technical fight he should win. But if he trys to bang with Irvin, then Irvin by KO.

isnt it a little early in the day to be swallowing my nuts!

JV, That’s so true. Randy will drop Nog and then Nog will have to retire. :)

The fight between Randy and Nog will all depend no which Randy and which Nog show up. I would like to think Randy’s stand up is much better than Nog’s because of the way Mir destroyed Nog but Nog is a legend and still a top ten HW in my book and you can’t count him out. If I were Randy I would keep this fight standing because of Nog’s excellent Jits but we all know when he knocks some one down he’s going for the kill and he very well may get submitted if he does that with Nog. It should be a great fight.

I’ve always been a fan of Big Nog, but he’s finished. At this point, Couture’s like 46 years old, and yet he looks like the younger guy in the cage. Nog, OTOH, looks like he has nothing left.
Cheers for a guy who used to “world class” (really, not in Dana’s terms), but he needs to get out before he gets really hurt.

and what r u basing that statement on? the fact that Nog was came into the Mir fight with a bad staph infection, and shot knees, that buckled every time he took a step?
I thought he looked pretty good in his UFC fight vs. Herring! His boxing was Crisp, and NO one will ever be stupid enough to question NOg’s ground game! I dont care if he is 200 years old, he is still a problem for anyone off his back!

I really like Noguiera but he hasn’t been overly impressive in the UFC. Herring cracked him a good one with that head kick and had a chance at least, Sylvia gave him a beating, and Mir, well, we know how that went.
I don’t think he’s been bad, the Sylvia victory was still impressive, but he hasn’t done much to make it unwarranted to think like Big_B.
I disagree with him being finished but he’s not looking like a prospective title holder. But that doesn’t bother me because I like seeing him fight.
It’s a pity he’s fighting Randy because I hate to see Randy lose more than I hate to see Nog lose.

this is just one of those moments where you just sit back and enjoy the show, much like wandy vs chuck, this is a great moment in mma and will no doubt, be a great fight. Not like wandy page 3, or chuck shogun, where it ends quick and leaves us wanting more, i see a three round war unless nog can submit randy, this is gonna be great.
i also think keith will stay on his win one lose one streak, it’s time for his win.
