Should be a good scrap. Diego didnt really look that good in the Stevenson fight. So I hope hes more used to the weight this time. This dam caveman is a little sparkplug!

I don’t think this one will be as close as it looks on paper. I’m saying UD for Diego.

FOCK, whoever put it in Hugie Bear, cLAY-n-Pray’s mind that he is EXCITING!!!!!

by JOhn G on Jun 16, 2009 8:11 AM EDT up reply actions

please god let guida be knocked out!!!!

i’m also pulling for diaz in the stevenson fight!!!!! itas a lock

by ufcaddict on Jun 16, 2009 8:28 AM EDT up reply actions

For real he is as exciting as watching cement set. Guida is setting up the lay an pray. Guida Transitions in to the lay n pray. Guida has side control he is doing nothing with it. Guida sets up a lay an pray. Guida has got the back but wait he is just going to lay on it. In a suprise and most exciting move Guida sweeps and lays and prays snd prays some more. I would rather watch sea turtles mating in sand.

u mutha fokers are nuts~ guida will win this fight for sure!!

im going to get paid good~ i got great odds on hugie bear!

u guys are crazy if u think guida is not an exciting fighter!!

how come everyone was on his nuts till he lost to huerta??

he has two not so decent fights against middle tier lws like danzig and my boy nate(winning both)~ and all of a sudden he is boring??

u guys make me laugh out loud sometimes~

clay huggie bear guida for the win………….

by stinky~fingers on Jun 16, 2009 8:43 AM EDT up reply actions

Stinky: i for one have NEVER been on his nuts…. GO back and check the threads following all his fights…NOt oNE time, have I ever said I was a fan, or that I enjoyed seeing him fight.

Just go back n check the threads of the Guida/Tyson fight which probably one of the best fights Guida was ever in….even during that time, i wasnt impressed, and have NEVER been a fan!

Fyi: save your money, Diego is going to make him look silly!
I dont think any of the b-level lightweight wrestlers can beat Diego…Not Tyson, Not Guida, Not Maynard, nOt Edgar, Not Joe daddy… not eVEN SHERK (who forgot how to wrestle!)

Diego is a NIGHTmare for all those wrestlers

by JOhn G on Jun 16, 2009 8:56 AM EDT up reply actions

Jesse Holland: u got some Cohona’s around here! Next time you make a Clay Guida thread….Refer to him as Huggie Bear in the title, and I will BOW DOWN to your AWESOMENESS!

by JOhn G on Jun 16, 2009 9:17 AM EDT up reply actions

yes fuck guida….he didnt even win the diaz fight and that fight is the perfect example of why the ufc should have .5 scoring rounds instead of just 9/10 rounds

by JG on Jun 16, 2009 9:39 AM EDT up reply actions

haha~ u guys will all be sooo wrong when guida beats sanchez..

and im saying right now~ huggie bear will finish sanchez too..

have you ever seen a overly excited golden retriever jump on a 5 year old kids back and start humping away all the while the kid is screaming away not knowing whats going on? do you consider that to be an exciting fight?

by Egads on Jun 16, 2009 10:01 AM EDT up reply actions

yeah its me stink! No one has ever finished Diego….Clay has never finished anyone….I cant envision any scenario in which Huggie can finish Diego!

by JOhn G on Jun 16, 2009 10:19 AM EDT up reply actions

it will be a tko baby~

envision that!!

by stinky~fingers on Jun 16, 2009 10:20 AM EDT up reply actions

u guys treat guida like mutha foking jake obrian~

that ish aint right.. not from a black belt mmanerd~

by stinky~fingers on Jun 16, 2009 10:22 AM EDT up reply actions

mmamath doesnt work, but to an extent it is a good way of analyzing fights when previous opponents have similar skill sets.

Imo, guida is a poor mans, JOe daddy! Diego dominated Guida during his clearly weakest point (1st weight cut to lw)…

time and time again, I have watched Dominant wrestlers abandon their gameplans against Diego and not even shoot for a single takedown cause he is that scary on the ground. Diego doesnt have the most dangerous guard, then again we rearely see him on his back so he actually might….but Diego is masterful at sweeping opponents…and that makes all the wrestlers he has faced, simply frieghtened of taking him down. Kos was to scared to take him down…Joe daddy didnt shoot a single time….and I wont be surprised to see Guida implement a strategy of standing with Diego, and that is a strategy that wont be succesfull! On the ground Diego is basically a much stronger Nate Diaz, minus the length. Standing Diego is more polished then Nate, and Diego is a much better wrestler than Nate!

Guida will not be able to hug his way to a win over Diego…Im not sure he can put Diego on his back, and if he can, I dont think clay can maintain top position without getting swept…this fight is going to end with Diego Mounting Clay and G n P’ing away for a TKO stoppage! Vintage Diego!

Question: who the hell is “the Dentist”, Neer booked to fight next?

by JOhn G on Jun 16, 2009 10:25 AM EDT up reply actions

How do you see Huggie beating Diego? Wrestling? No, Diego is a better wrestler. Outworking him? No, Diego pushes just as much of a pace as Huggie? Laying on him for 15 minutes? No, Diego has first-rate jits from Rickson Gracie, so he’s legit, unlike some of these clowns who get a black belt for completing a 3-part video series. Striking? Give me a fucking break. Huggie couldn’t punch his way out of a wet sack.

What we’re going to see is a return of the Diego GnP monster. He is going to take Huggie down, put him on his back, pass his guard and pound on him until Huggie cries and quits.

by PW on Jun 16, 2009 10:27 AM EDT up reply actions

Stinky-

Are you serious? You MUST be clowning around. This fight is Diego’s to lose.

The only question is : HOW Diego will win.

by OJR on Jun 16, 2009 10:31 AM EDT up reply actions

Huggie Bear tends to win the fights he’s supposed to lose and he often loses in the fights he supposed to win. In this fight, all signs point to a Huggie loss. I can just see him getting the upset in my mind. I am no doubt hoping for Diego to beat the cotton stuffing out of him, but I do not believe that this fight is going to be as one sided as most think. I see this fight going all 3 rounds for sure. Takedowns will prove to be the difference in this fight and we know that Huggie will be going for them.

by ViolentMike on Jun 16, 2009 10:49 AM EDT up reply actions

I got Diego…and stinky, you still owe me for the stevenson fight, you said he wouldn’t win that one either!!

by kevin on Jun 16, 2009 10:53 AM EDT up reply actions

vm~ at least u seem somewhat reasonable..

guida is as tough as it gets man,

and if peeps think diego will have an easytime grappling with guida, they are insane~

guida will be the stronger of the two..his pace will be too much for sanchez..

sanchez looked cracked out at lw..beating joe daddy means nothing to me..

and john~ as far as guida being scared of the ground??

thats some funny ish right there..i dont think guida feels fear..

did u watch the video??? the man is focused..

im saying guida via tko 2 round.. mark that down ojr..its as sin’serious as it gets, son..

by stinky~fingers on Jun 16, 2009 11:13 AM EDT up reply actions

I dont think Guida was ever an exciting fighter. Tyson Griffin is an exciting fighter, and Roger Huerta is an exciting fighter. Those guys have repeatedly exciting fights. I dont know how many FotNs those guys have earned. The only reason Guida is mentioned as an exciting fighter is because he was matched with them. THEY made him fight an exciting fight. I have no doubt Guida would have just hugged them to a decision like everyone else.

In a perfect world, Diego would beat up Huggie on the feet, reverse a takedown, get mount, and make Huggie tap like a b!tch to strikes. Submission due to strikes has got to be the most humiliating way to go out.

But probably Diego by decision. Diego is an exciting fighter, so this will probably be an exciting fight.

JOhn G- Neer set to face Pellegrino in Philly remember?

Guida’s one of my favourite fighters but damn he’s hard to hear in that video.

I thought it was just my speakers playing up, but Rogan’s voice comes out nice and clear.

by Tim on Jun 16, 2009 7:17 AM EDT reply actions

u sir, need to find a new favorite fighter! lol

by JOhn G on Jun 16, 2009 8:11 AM EDT up reply actions

John G, we get it, enough already, you dont like Clay Guida, and i respect your opinion but if I tell you that Clay Guida is one of my favorite fighters then you should respect my opinion too, and for the love of god, enough with the huggie bear thing, you guys have literally taken it from a funny little joke, to being really annoying with your blatant over use of the term, time for some new material guys, seriously (and im not just saying that as a fan, i thought it was a pretty funny burn when it first started getting used)

by Dave on Jun 16, 2009 10:56 AM EDT up reply actions

It was a joke man…relax! Do you see the LOL after the post! That should tell you something!

Fine, I will put huggie bear to rest, from now on its:
cLAY-N-Pray! Happy? I just dont like fighters that talk like they are so exciting, yet BORE me! If you want to talk about h ow exciting you are, then you better BRING IT! If you consider “BRINGING IT”, a bunch of hugging, man love…then thats all you man!

Dave, if Clay is one of your favorites, you must really like Gay Porn! lol…dont get your panties in a bunch, just another joke! nothing mean spirited about it!

WHAT ARE YOU A GAY FISH? hahahahahahaha anyone know what I am talking about?

by JOhn G on Jun 16, 2009 5:19 PM EDT up reply actions

Guida talks like hes someone. “Bring it on Diego..blah blah blah” Guida is the worst shit talker i’ve ever heard. Best believe Diego is gonna put em to sleep.

by GuidaKiller on Jun 16, 2009 7:53 AM EDT reply actions

I hope Diego Snatchhead gets all the zen in his world shoved up his ass…..WAR GUIDA !!!!

by BigPelly on Jun 16, 2009 8:05 AM EDT reply actions

I am so sick of Guida. getting W’s by way of lay and pray. He has finished Sammy Shiavo for a win and that was it. Granted he has faced some of the toughest competition since getting to the ufc and is in possibly the toughest division in all of mma but still he could make more of an efort. No threats for subs from top or bottom and no KO power in his hands. I think Diego is going to prove ot be to big for him and out muscle and size dherk. Diego is already used to a furious pace so that should not be a problem. He also bring a great bottom game. I like Diego in this.

by Da Monkey on Jun 16, 2009 8:22 AM EDT reply actions

I like watching this dude fight. How can you not like someone who’s conditioning is thru the roof and never gets tired? The action is as exciting in the third round as it is in the first with this guy. Guida is a beast and deserves the respect. He will win over Diego “The Wierdo” Sanchez this time.

by Cut the Blue Wire on Jun 16, 2009 9:29 AM EDT up reply actions

I’m going Diego by TKO, I think Diego is gonna be too strong for Guida to just lay on and this fight will remain standing.

by rydinlow on Jun 16, 2009 10:04 AM EDT reply actions

I can’t wait for Diego to take out Huggie. Here’s exactly how this fight will go down…….Huggy will try to stand with Diego in the 1st round. He’ll do this cuz he reads the message boards, and wants to prove that he’s not “clay n pray.” By the end of the 1st round, after standing for about 4 minutes, Huggie will realize “I don’t wanna stand and bang with this guy.” As a result, Huggie will come out in the 2nd round to take Diego down. After about 3-4 minutes rolling with Diego, Huggy will realize, “I don’t wanna be on the ground with this guy.” In the 3rd round, Huggy will be frustrated by getting his ass kicked in every aspect of the fight game, and he’ll make a mistake and either get submitted, or go to sleep. Diego by KO, TKO or tap. This is too big of a step up in class for Huggy, he’s outmatched in every aspect of the game here.

by kg on Jun 16, 2009 11:01 AM EDT reply actions

The real question is can guida take diego down?
I only remember koscheck taking him down easily but diego got out quick. Not too sure how fitch got him down.

Anyways I don’t think guida is as strong as either kos or fitch and diego has solid wrestling which might cancel guidas, I see diego picking him appart with accurate striking to pull of a rear naked choke or some thing in late 2nd or 3rd.

by phenomenal angel on Jun 16, 2009 11:34 AM EDT reply actions

i have no desire to see Guida and Maynard fight ever again..wow those two are DREADFUL to wacth..wow

by gflo on Jun 16, 2009 1:51 PM EDT reply actions

That’s why they are knows as Clay n Pray and Lay n Gray.

by PW on Jun 16, 2009 2:36 PM EDT up reply actions

hay, all you big mouth guida haters, clay not enough class? aw, diego foaming at the mouth as he say’s yes yes, ya that is classy! I again say if your fav fighter can not get “huggy bear” off of them, what does that say about your guy?as for never losing, does the name josh koschek ring a bell? if you do not like a fighter for what ever the reason, try not to respond with the mentality of a slug. i am a small blond female, not stupid, darn cute, and i LOVE CLAY, he is exciting and if i like him are you going to show your ass and call me stupid, or a lesb.or what ever else you think is so macho? so!!!!
