Mixed Martial Arts may not be legal yet in New York, but that hasn't stopped Zuffa from bringing fans in the "Empire State" one of the promotion's biggest events in UFC history.
New York City’s Radio City Music Hall will hold a closed-circuit screening of UFC 100 on Saturday, July 11, featuring appearances by UFC fighters Matt Hamill and Frankie Edgar. The event will be broadcast in High-Definition on Radio City Music Hall’s 70’ x 35’ screen -- the largest screen to broadcast a UFC event in history.
Tickets for the UFC 100 Viewing Party went on sale today (June 15) at 10 a.m. ET and will be priced at $25 through July 3. From July 4 until July 11 the price will increase to $30. Tickets can be purchased at the Radio City Music Hall Box Office, Madison Square Garden Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, or online at www.radiocity.com. Tickets are also available by Ticketmaster phone at 866-448-7849 or 212-307-7171.
As an added bonus, the first 200 fans in attendance will gain access to a pre-fight autograph session with "The Hammer" and "The Answer" starting at 8 p.m ET. A Q&A session with each fighter will follow for the entire audience. Food and beverages will be sold throughout the evening at discounted prices.
UFC 100 Viewing Party schedule:
8:00p.m. – 8:40 p.m. ET – Doors open/Exclusive autograph session for 1st 200 attendees
8:50 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. ET – Q & A session with UFC fighters and Host on stage
10:00 p.m. ET – Pay-Per-View screening/UFC 100 goes live!
UFC 100 features two major title fights: Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir will tangle to declare an undisputed division champion and Georges St. Pierre will once again defend his 170-pound strap against number one contender, Thiago Alves. TUF 9 coaches, Dan Henderson and Michael Bisping, are also slated to meet and determine who earns the right to challenge the reigning middleweight champion later in 2009.

I don’t understand why more theaters haven’t done this already. Digital projection, nice seats, safer environment then most bars, buy a ticket ahead of time…I’d go at least some of the time.

Some friends and I bought tickets yesterday….70’ HD screen is awesome and Edgar & Hamill are interesting guests for Q & A session….“discounted beverages” mentioned in the press release are always nice….
