UFC 100: Jonathan Goulet out against Dong Hyun Kim with shoulder injury

Coming off a 33-second technical knockout loss to Mike "Quick" Swick, a win for Jonathan Goulet over Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 100, July 11, would have been the perfect chance to get his career back on track. That's now on hold after the "Road Warrior" hurt himself while training for the 170-pound bout. No replacement for Goulet has been announced at this time. Kim is coming off a razor-thin split decision loss to Karo Parisyan at UFC 94 earlier this year. With just four weeks until fight night it could be hard for the promotion to secure a worthy welterweight opponent for "Stun Gun." We'll keep you posted.

Man this sucks, The KO would have raise DHK’s profile real quick and gotten him another HL. Hopefully they throw Carlos Condit in there with him. That would be a sick fight that he could win IMO.

I dont know why no one likes Goulet. The guy always comes to fight and hes got good skills. He has terrible hair and a non existent chin but he is a gamer.

It’s an undercard fight so I wouldn’t expect a big name to replace him. Condit would be cool though. I think he’d be too much for DHK. It would be nice to see Kim get back to KO’ing guys like in his pre-UFC fights.

I dont think he should be in the UFC. I really dont. i dont even think the guy has any fans outside of his immediate family members. I know people from different countries are fans of fighters that represent their countries, but I dont even think Canadians like this guy.

They should just let Paul Kelly destroy his ww-Arlovski-like chin and cut him for good!!!!!!!!1

Maybe they will bring in somebody worth watching to fight Stun Gun.

I could die happy with never seeing Goulet fight again.

I agree. what is it with this guy. He shouldve never been back after the Van Ludwig KO. I think GSP may have had a clause in his contract keeping Goulet’s carer alive. That is the only way I can figure it out.

On a side note, his replacement should be Frank Trigg

A Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg fight is unofficially slated for UFC 103 but they may tap one of those guys to step in. Condit is another interesting choice if he has kept in shape and can be ready to go.

Well that sucks for you but those are things you can improve on… How can he improve his chin? Im not saying he would be a champ or anything but has good striking and a good ground game, his chin just lets him down every time.

Goulet sucks. no one cares. He is only in the UFC because he is one of GSP’s buddies. He is to GSP what Drew McFedries is to Matt Hughes.

Goulet isn’t great but he’s of the Wanderlei mind set. He would fight every day if he could so this actually must be pretty terrible for him. It seems the majority of people here don’t care, but I sympathize with him.

I am from Monteal Canadian fighters are always the ones I root for 1st with the exception of a couple. I ONLY know Goulet because he’s from here. Yeah he’s a scrapper but after his last losses, I have no interest in seeing him fight whatsoever. I am actually surprised he wan’t one of the cats cut from the UFC.
