Kongo’s reach and height are his biggest advantage in this fight, but it won’t be enough. Cain can take him down and also throw good hands once he gets inside. This fight will tell us a lot about both guys. Too much too soon for Cain? Has Kongo learned to defend takedowns and escape on the ground? We’ll see tomorrow.

my vote is kongo by ko. i think his reach will win him the fight and im hoping that he has enough takedown defense and strength to out muscle cain.

cain is an athlete, kongo might have reach, but cain is an animal, he will take kongo apart

HOnestly, under normal circumstances, Kongo would win this fight about 7/10 times (at this point in there careers). HOwever, taking the fight on 3 weeks notice has to be factored into the equation. Had Kongo had a full camp, iM SURE HE WOULD BE MUCH MORE PREPARED TO DEAL With Cain’s wrestling…. we will c how prepared he is on 3 weeks notice!
I still kind of like Kongo, especialy as an underdog against an unproven fighter!

Might be YouTube. I see it fine, but it takes longer than usual to load right now.

I love how Kongo weighed in at 230 cause he’s ALOT bigger than Cain Velasquez who weighed in at 239 is!

no he just has better definition and lower body fat levels as well as thin legs. kongo isnt that big. however he is strong

Cain try having children b4 the fight because you won’t be able to after…you guys see those knees?!

I swear if Kongo knees him in the balls it’s time for a DQ loss, the guy needs to either correct his aiming problem or quit throwin knees in the clinch.

Hopefully Cain remembered to bring his cup. It is almost guaranteed at this point that Kongo will deliver at least 1 illegal groin shot. It will be interesting to see if Cain can stay off the fence and get Kongo on the ground.

Sounds good, but the problem with that is it leaves a huge gap between title defences for the winner of Lesnar/Mir at 100.
If Kongo wins he gets the next shot. If Cain wins, I’d bet that Carwin gets the next shot, with Cain being one big win away… maybe getting the winner of Nog/Methuselah.

Good to see he’s still training with the Wolfslair guys, hopefully they’re rounding out his skill set – so much potential but a little one-dimensional.
