Is someone in England placing these lines? Kelly and Taylor are both -500(+)…
by Cole on Jun 9, 2009 2:41 PM EDT up reply actions
That’s what i was thinking… I wish I knew a little more about Delgado or Sobotta. Are they just cans or will they put up a fight?
by Arnold on Jun 9, 2009 2:45 PM EDT up reply actions
I’m not surprised Wand is a minor ‘dog… his last few fights have been unpredictable to say the least. This one could definitely go either way, but I have to take the relentless aggression of Silva. Franklin seems to break and crumble when he’s under that kind of onslaught.

yeah, i have to agree JJ!
Odds like these make me happy that I have a nice sized betting account to play with (still NEVER deposited any of my winnings in about 3 years).
Im about to lay out my cash cow of a masterplan for UFC 99. THank me later FOCKERS!
all the underdogs on the main card:
$50 Wanderlei to win $57
$25 Kongo to win $40
$25 Hardy to win $43
$25 Saunders to win $43
$25 Uno to win $43
Dont let the odds scare you:
$87 Etim to win $25
$275 kelly to win $50
$125 Paul Talyor to win $25
$50 Hathaway (mania doesnt have the odds up, but who cares?)
Maximum profit (not including hathaway)= $326
Maximum loss (not including hathaway) = $637
Some might ask why I am risking so much by betting on the brits, without getting much reward? Simple…they are FOCKING LOCKS!! The odds are designed to scare us away from betting them! “I aint EVER SCARED”
Know what Im sayin? lol
if you just take my main card advice:
Maximum profit = $226
Maximum loss = $150
know what im saying? lol

The degenerate gambler thread came out and I missed it cuz I was buisy at work, WTF?!?!
John, pretty good stategy since going fight by fight, I find this event VERY difficult to pick the winners. I can easily see the fights going either way, which is why its a pretty nifty idea to go with all underdogs.
This may be the fist major MMA event that I don’t be on in quite some time. I’m actually just going to sit back and enjoy the action without breaking a sweat.
John, I wonder how improved Kongo’s TD defense is? its looked improved since the Herring fight, but he also hasn’t fought a fighter with the wrestling pedigree of Cain.
I would love to go with my heart and bet on Wanderlei, Cain, and Saunders but betting with your heart is stupid. Perhaps a small $5 parlay on them 3 and I’ll call it quits for this event, or possibly add the 2 Brits as well. That parlay pays out more than 11 times.
Also, Terry Etim looks attractive at -350
by ViolentMike on Jun 9, 2009 4:54 PM EDT up reply actions
But, don’t sleep on Sobatta. I would actually replace Paul Kelly with Terry Etim.
I GOTTA have some action, even if its just one small parlay.
by ViolentMike on Jun 9, 2009 4:56 PM EDT up reply actions
I hate kongo, but a kongo, wand and uno parlay looks good!

Thanks for the advice john. I’ll be sure to ignore it like I did with your LOCK on Sherk over Edgar.
by stevo on Jun 9, 2009 5:43 PM EDT up reply actions
I think everybody thought Sherk would win that fight, stevo. For some reason Roid Imp™ thinks he’s Anderson Silva lately. He takes Edgar to the mat and it’s a wrap.
by Jeremyjackson on Jun 9, 2009 5:47 PM EDT up reply actions
Yea John, like VM is saying don’t sleep on Sobatta. He’s a highly touted guy out of germany really slick on the ground. I would stay away from if you’re thinking paul but the upset is worth taking if it goes up to 350 or 400.
by NameNotRequired on Jun 9, 2009 5:50 PM EDT up reply actions
Who’s next for Edgar, anyway? The winner of Diaz/Stevenson, mayhaps?
I just hope someone beats Maynard. I can’t stand his fighting style, and the thought of that guy in a title fight or main event gives me dry heaves.
by Jeremyjackson on Jun 9, 2009 5:56 PM EDT up reply actions
THanks for the heads up on Sabotta guys! I think the world of Paul Taylor and I dont think any european fighter on the UFC roster is good enough to beat him right now, but if you guys are saying Sobotta is dangerous, then I have to shy away from betting him at -500.
im also, going to bet a couple of parlays. From a gambling stand point, I r eally like this event!
Kongo’s TD defense will be iproved, but probably not enough to keep Cain from putting him on his back, IF thats what Cain wants to do, which is a BIG IF!!! I wont be surprised at all to see Cain try to strike with Kongo, which my opinion iwll prove to be stupid, yet exciting.
I would be lying if I told you I had any freaking clue how the Kongo fight will play out. I do expect it to be exciting!
by john on Jun 9, 2009 6:48 PM EDT up reply actions
PLEASE!! Please!! please!! Dont let the odds scare you guys away from betting on Paul Kelly or at least including him on a few parlays. He will not lose to Roli! No freaking chance in hell! Kelly was a very strong WW, and I expect him to be a beast at LW.
Not only can Kelly destroy him standing, but no shot in hell of Roli defending the takedowns, and his K-mart black belt isnt going to help him deal with Kelly’s powerful G n P and pull off a submission. Kelly wont lose this fight!
I wont bet this fight until I see him at the weigh ins, since its his 1st fight at 155 lbs, I want to see how he looks…but word out of England is that he is in great shape, and going to be a force at 155 lbs.
by john on Jun 9, 2009 6:53 PM EDT up reply actions
Paul Kelly should be included in every single one of all of you guys’s parlays!!!!!!!!!
by john on Jun 9, 2009 7:22 PM EDT up reply actions
Yea, i agree i really like Paul Kelly as well. If anyone is thinking a reason to worry here might be the weight cut, from what i’ve been reading he’s been doing it right way so pretty much a lock.
by NameNotRequired on Jun 9, 2009 11:41 PM EDT up reply actions
yeah, thats my only concern…thats why I wont actually bet on him, until I see the way he looks at the weigh ins, but I hear that he is in great shape and will look awesome as a lightweight!

Al Turk is going to be a money winner. I’m broke, but I’m going to put £50 on him, it’s not much as I was planning on going to this event, but cant cos of GCSEs :( I think he has a decent chance, and 275 is a pretty good odds. If anyone puts money on Mirko they are nuts.

Living in London makes him not an arab anymore?
Tell me youre joking Nick.
by Green Inferno on Jun 9, 2009 4:52 PM EDT up reply actions
Sorry Green, he’s British and lives in London, good enough? ‘Arab’ is not a country, the above poster was refering to his race. Its as bad as saying I hope cro cop “smashes this African”.
I’m not into finger pointing but there was an undertone of racism going on there.
by Nick J on Jun 9, 2009 5:34 PM EDT up reply actions
Who gives a shit if he’s an arab? This is MMA, not the fucking Crusades. I’m anti-religion in general, but to each his own.

Cain is an animal – I don’t think that fight will make it out of the 1st round.

im also pretty sure he is on the card, and I am anxious to bet on him. HOpe the odds are released.

I’ve checked on UFC.com and he is still shown. He has skills mate, still yet to be tested mind you but is definatly talented.
Little known is they offered him to fight Kos at 95 shortly after he won in Ireland but he turned it down due to weight issues. The UFC obviously think he can mix with the big boys.

Dana to Fedor’s camp and MMA media: We NEVER do one-fight deals.
Dana to Royce Gracie and Cro-Cop: “Say, how’d you like a one-fight deal?”

Dana: No 1 fight deals for guys who will destroy anyone on the UFC Roster! lol

Dan Hardy is that big of an underdog? I bet he wins by KO. I hope Wanderlei wins otherwise his career is over. If he does lose I hope it is not by KO. If he wins he is in line for a shot at Anderson Silva. I don’t see him winning this fight though. Franklin will keep him outside by kicking the legs and ribs a lot and circle out of trouble. Wander needs to close the distance and use hooks and knees. It will end in ko or tko either way.
by hatteras on Jun 9, 2009 2:47 PM EDT reply actions
No shot Hardy wins by KO, Davis has only lost by TKO once and that was due to a cut.

Kongo a underdog to who???Wow there is money to be made here! Wanderlei an underdog wtf?
by Khaos_Warrior on Jun 9, 2009 3:04 PM EDT reply actions
haha Cain, the division 1 wrestler, will destroy Kongo and his suspect ground game… Placing money on Kongo is really a poor idea. Wandy might be a good underdog bet but he rightfully is the underdog.
by Danza Macabra on Jun 9, 2009 3:17 PM EDT up reply actions
and then Brandon bet the rest of the card as well…lol
by ViolentMike on Jun 9, 2009 4:59 PM EDT up reply actions
Kongo is a no-brainer. He’s been damn hungry lately, and I find it CRAZY to put him as the underdog. Oh well, money maker..
by Miketsi on Jun 9, 2009 4:39 PM EDT reply actions
Kongo, Uno, Hardy and Saunders all look like more than just live dogs.
I will be betting 100 on Kongo and Saunders.

Is it safe and legal to bet online with the betus.com place above? I mean, can I provide my credit card number to them as they want and bet with no risk of legal trouble or them ripping me off? never done any online betting before…
