I like how he thinks beating Goulet actually does something for his career. Goulet has good skills but his chin is so weak its sad.

As for beating someone whos just a couple fights out of TUF getting you a title shot, the guy must be smoking crack.

You want a shot at the title step up and fight your teammates. Dont try to hide behind the training partner excuse. You are gonna keep getting held back cause you refuse to fight guys that could get you to the top.

Fitch would fight Swick especially if it was for the #1 contender spot. I think if Alves beats GSP fitch will get the rematch but if GSP wins then no one will be signing up to see GSP vs Fitch II.

Side note – If you remember when Fitch was booted from the UFC where the f*ck was his Swick… Oh that’s right he was his ‘own man’ then, I guess he’s a team mate under the best terms…

Swick is for real at WW and I see him being in line for a title shot if he beats Saunders in impressive fashion and then beats someone the top 5-7.

He’s a legit match-up for GSP because he’s got great hands and that may be the only way to beat him: hit him hard, fast and early. Swick has that ability. Of course, he’d be a big underdog, but I think he’s got a better chance against him then guys like Fitch, Hughes, and Kos, who are very good wrestlers but not elite level strikers. Hughes isn’t even a decent striker, Fitch is respectable but not a real threat there, and Kos is the best of the bunch.

Swick has already beaten Burke and Davis, guys that are lingering near the top 10 but not quite there. All he needs is one big win against any of the above and he is ready for a shot.

Burke isn’t even lingering in the UFC anymore and his win over Davis was one of the worst fights I’ve ever seen…if he beats Saunders, Swick should fight Hardy (if he wins)

You have to give Swick credit for what he did before moving to WW. He was in a fight that had he won would have given him a MW title shot. And it’s not like Okami (who is still considered a top MW) destroyed him, that fight went the distance.

I think Swick is top ten material right now. I’d like to see him fight Kampmann or Conduit, both of whom have top 5 skills, but are new to the division/UFC.

As it stands Swick has only one loss in the UFC against some pretty solid competition. He hasn’t taken down a big name yet, but I think that’s all he needs to do to stake his claim to the top 5.

TOP 7 WW’s IMO:

1. GSP
2. Alves
3. Fitch
4. Hughes (hard to believe, but gotta put him here based on his debatable W over Serra)
5. Kos

No…I would say 7 or 8 would be about right…I posted my list yesterday and had Hughes there…GSP, Fitch, Alves, Kampman, KOS, Condit, and then Hughes…but I only had him there cause of his history…I honestly think he would have trouble with younger stronger guys like Rumble these days…and btw, a lot of us think Serra won that fight by taking rnds 1 and 3

the ufcs ww division is so damn stacked and becoming more and more stacked all the time… like swick, martin kampmann, amir sadollah, ben saunders, ricardo almeida, frank trigg have all fought as middleweights. those names i mentioned alone i think would give swick trouble. i would like to see how well swick would do against kos, fitch, anthony johnson, condit, hughes, parysian, alves, paulo thiago the list goes on….

i don’t play in casino’s cuz i live in buttf*ck nowhere..i play tues night poker with a bunch of guys..tomorrow is a small tournament with a hundred $ buy in and there will be 30 to 40 people..winner takes all..so i hope to kick some ass..
i play online poker too..but i prefer to play live poker ya know..i have to drive like 8 hours to go to casino’s worth playing in..plus i have better luck at the roulette table..low cut shirts work the over head camera’s and they seem to let me win..ahahaha i turned 50 bucks into 400!!
