WOW, I’m a lucky guy! My birthday is sun, strikeforce on sat is stacked, wec on sun is stacked!
Diaz, Shields, the Baroni fight will be a slug fest, faber, Cerronne, pulver (i like him), aa, the list goes on and on!!
.
I don’t have any questions, you know what I’m saying
Kimbo has no ground game, you know what I’m saying
bas won’t even train him anymore, yo know what I’m saying
Kimbo go KO’d by a one footed man moving backwards with a punch with no power, you know what I’m saying?
I do agree, it’s a recession, you know what I’m saying?
by the way, this blog amused me!

I’ll watch it for the 1st time in a while…Kimbo in the house will be funny but I wouldn’t piss in his fruit

by McArthur on Jun 2, 2009 12:20 PM EDT up reply actions

why not? because he’s big and black and only KO’d Tank Abbott? or because he got knocked out by a LHW moving backwards on 1 foot?

by kevin on Jun 2, 2009 12:27 PM EDT up reply actions

rofl that was sum funny shit

by JG on Jun 2, 2009 12:53 PM EDT up reply actions

it wass funnier the first 5 times I read it

by McArthur on Jun 2, 2009 1:26 PM EDT up reply actions

OK. WHAT? Why would you even pay to put him on the damn show? what is dana talking about changing the world of mma?
what?
so we are going to see kimbo fight on the first episode to get on the show right?
cause to my watching the TUF shows you have to win to get on the show

by mikeybear on Jun 2, 2009 1:28 PM EDT up reply actions

good point Mikey!! They will have to feed him an even bigger can than himself

by McArthur on Jun 2, 2009 1:56 PM EDT up reply actions

LMAO @ “Kimbo in the house will be funny but I wouldn’t piss in his fruit” Good one MAC!

by Alpha Male 360 on Jun 2, 2009 3:05 PM EDT up reply actions

They don’t have to fight to get into the house this season apparently. That’s what I heard from a different site. They likely did that for Kimbo. I will be rooting for Kimbo but I wouldn’t bet too much on his success on the show.

by RyanHobbs on Jun 2, 2009 10:25 PM EDT up reply actions

They’re not going to have to fight to get in. But why is Dana always talking about news that will change the UFC and MMA forever. He sounds like "What are going to do today brain? WHAT WE DO EVERYDAY PINKY!!! TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!!

by getrawbc on Jun 2, 2009 6:42 PM EDT up reply actions

i don’t really get what dana was talking about.. signing deals?
WHAT? Why would you even pay to put him on the damn show? what is dana talking about changing the world of mma?
what?

by mikeybear on Jun 2, 2009 1:28 PM EDT up reply actions

mikeybear, he was signing deals in CA. I know it’s tough some times, but put 2 and 2 together. It had nothing to do with Kimbo. It’s probably a TV deal.
Tjhe whole blog or UFC isn’t about kimbo all of a sudden, calm down!

by kevin on Jun 2, 2009 1:39 PM EDT up reply actions

question, hopeful thinking ,Wasn’t there word that Fedor is in California to promote the Affliction card, and also rumor a while back saying Fedor wanted to talk to Dana in June, well its June and Dana and Lorenzo are in a big meeting ,so could there be a deal finally in the works for Fedor

by scott on Jun 2, 2009 7:22 PM EDT up reply actions

you are correct sir
on your post below too!

by kevin on Jun 2, 2009 9:14 PM EDT up reply actions

appreciate it,maybe there is hope after all.Plus it would be a deal that would change UFC and MMA forever,no more questions on is he the greatest in the world, also it would solidify UFC control of all of the top fighters in every division ,it is like the field of dreams ,if you get Fedor ,they will all come, that is the HW’s that are not presently apart of UFC

by scott on Jun 2, 2009 9:29 PM EDT up reply actions

Your both right! It seems to be either a big network tv deal or the acquisition of Fedor!

by Alpha Male 360 on Jun 2, 2009 10:11 PM EDT up reply actions

I personally do not care either way for a major network deal. That would be great for the casual fan,but these video blogs are done for the hard core fans ,which watch UFC no matter what channel it is on,I just do not think he would try to announce that on a video blog ,that would be press conference material for all the major news medias

by scott on Jun 2, 2009 10:48 PM EDT up reply actions

I know scott,i too think it’s Fedor but Dana is the master of disappointment concerning big news so…?

by Alpha Male 360 on Jun 2, 2009 10:55 PM EDT up reply actions

true, but all those other dissapointments, were put out threw the media ,this was a video blog, but it does not matter,we will find out when we find out

by scott on Jun 2, 2009 11:13 PM EDT up reply actions

Yep!

by Alpha Male 360 on Jun 2, 2009 11:17 PM EDT up reply actions

I doubt its Fedor! Dana was hoping that he could announce “THE BIG NEWS” on MOnday. Im not too contractual savy, but to my knowledge you cant negotiate with Fedor until his contract expires after the Barnett fight. If I know that, then Dana knows that for sure….so If it were a Fedor signing, i dont get how he could have ever thought that announcing it mOnday was a possibillity.

Basically what I am trying to say is that its going to be a major network deal for the UFC…..No shot in hell that the Fedor deal is done already. Fedor just got to Cali, do you really think such grueling negotiations could have been completed in 1 day? Get Real!

by john on Jun 3, 2009 10:22 AM EDT up reply actions

no, they picked 16 this time not 32 with fight ons.
other big announcement could be fedor, but he’s fighting in aug, so I doubt they signed him yes :(

by kevin on Jun 2, 2009 1:50 PM EDT up reply actions

or maybe its allowing knees to the head of a downed opponent YES!

by McArthur on Jun 2, 2009 2:38 PM EDT up reply actions

why would he meet with CA when 90% of fights are in Vegas, so…NO!

by kevin on Jun 2, 2009 2:42 PM EDT up reply actions

also Affliction is a non exclusive contract ,so he could still make a deal ,while under contract for one last fight with Affliction(hoping),with UFC ,my english is terrible today

by scott on Jun 2, 2009 7:25 PM EDT up reply actions

“It’s going to change the UFC, and Mixed Martial Arts forever…”

Hmm…Thongs for the Octagon girls?

by Maynard on Jun 2, 2009 12:12 PM EDT reply actions

And they all go topless; now we’re talkin about some real changes.

by O damn he got caught on Jun 2, 2009 12:16 PM EDT up reply actions

Blog is FUKING awesome!. I guess this explains why Dana broke the news yesterday about Kimbo. Kimbo sounds as if he means business, but im very skeptical. Him shooting dice is classic.

by Fokman on Jun 2, 2009 12:18 PM EDT up reply actions

Fedor is in the USA right now… just saying

by ---Caesar--- on Jun 2, 2009 12:38 PM EDT up reply actions

He doesn’t hold that much respect for Fedor to say 1 man can change UFC history. Like others have said this is probably a major network deal.

by Alex on Jun 2, 2009 2:00 PM EDT up reply actions

maybe he’s buying out strikeforce

by sanshouer on Jun 2, 2009 6:07 PM EDT up reply actions

EA announced an MMA game. Maybe THQ is no longer going to have the license for making a UFC game

by Don "The Prophet" King on Jun 2, 2009 4:10 PM EDT up reply actions

Gotta be a network deal, right? A fighter contract with some big name like Fedor wouldn’t necessarily change mma forever.

by Dayvet on Jun 2, 2009 12:14 PM EDT reply actions

Yep…probably the UFC on FOX

by McArthur on Jun 2, 2009 12:16 PM EDT up reply actions

I really hope so, Fox or ESPN would be the best. Im thinking Fox because he said it was in LA, which is home of FOX sports.

by Fokman on Jun 2, 2009 12:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Espn now has a building in L.A. dont u watch sportscenter?

by LongIslandguy on Jun 2, 2009 12:40 PM EDT up reply actions

Ya i know that but if they were trying to get a deal done I would think it would be in Bristol.

by Fokman on Jun 2, 2009 12:43 PM EDT up reply actions

i would concurr with that but u dont no where the big dawgs are, they might like the warm weather.

by LongIslandguy on Jun 2, 2009 12:45 PM EDT up reply actions

i’d imagine its no longer frigid in june up there

by sanshouer on Jun 2, 2009 6:08 PM EDT up reply actions

I can just imagine it. What kind of dumb mascot will fox come up with for the UFC. Will it be punchy the punching rabbit, or Palooka the punch drunk Kangaroo Robot.

Will Fox highlight the punches with blue flames and the kicks with orange flames?

This just in…Fox sports is stupid.

by DDT on Jun 2, 2009 1:30 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah but remember the last deals he signed that were going to change the UFC and MMA forever? Friggin’ UFC gyms and action figures! Yeah, because that’s gonna change MMA forever…

by JRK on Jun 2, 2009 12:45 PM EDT up reply actions

The action figures weren’t the announcement. People just assumed it was because it came out the day before. The big announcement was the involvement of Lorenzo into the day to day operations.

I’m still going with Brown KO, I would also like to see Pulver pull off another sub. On a side note a girl I work with got into MMA and Boxing and she finally got to see Machida KO Evans.
She said Machida is a badass but and this is were I about fell out of my chair is when she said but Pacquio would still kick
his ass in any type of fight. When I told her Machida would take Pacquio down and submit his so fast he wouldn’t know what
hit him her response was Pacquio is so fast that Machida would
wouldn’t even get close to take him down. I just wanted to share a funny tuesday morning convo I had.

by rydinlow on Jun 2, 2009 12:18 PM EDT reply actions

the weight difference between the two is insurmountable…machida would rape pacquio in an mma fight…a kickboxing match would be the same result. Machida is wayyy to big, elusive, and smart to be beaten by a small, although intensely fast boxer like pacquio. That’s the way it is, no two ways about it.

haha, kimbo going to get knocked the F*CK out!!

I started watching TUF again this season cos of my main man BISPING, and will watch next season cos I really, really love seeing Kimbo get beat. He thinks he is a big bad street fighter, and it is sooo good for the evolution of the sport to see a thug step up and get KTFO.

Got the Undisputed game today, it’s pretty awesome. PS3, hit me up if you want to play!

EA are making an MMA game!! This will be like Pro Evo Soccer I reckon, which is just as good as fifa, most say it is better. I want to watch Rumpage Jocksan fight Charles Luddull!!

GCSEs this week for anyone else?

by adam on Jun 2, 2009 12:32 PM EDT reply actions

Dude, he wont get knocked out, he is gonna get taken down and subbed, and ill say by kimura

by Dave on Jun 2, 2009 12:36 PM EDT up reply actions

You ever heard of a jab? One of those bad boys connects with Kimbo and it is LIGHTS OUT ecosave style

by adam on Jun 2, 2009 12:58 PM EDT up reply actions

I dont the guys in the house are going to want to knock him out, i think they are going to want to make an example of him and how he isnt a well rounded fighter, and the best way of doing that is exposing the fact that he has no ground game whatsoever

by Dave on Jun 2, 2009 2:33 PM EDT up reply actions

PES 2009 is better than Fifa.

by Paul on Jun 2, 2009 4:16 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m 0-1 in Undisputed, won 4 out of 5 player matches, played a ranked match, was owning on the ground, when the doorbell went, so i go away and come back to find I got KO’d :(

TV deal… along with them moving the 125-145lb WEC guys over to the UFC banner. IMO There is a few guys that stay at 155 just to be under the UFC banner. IMO Some may move down if they made a move like this. Its win/win

List o stuff that the “BIG” news could be:

- New network deal on basic TV or sports channel.
- Bought another MMA organization and starting team vs team MMA leagues like IFL.
- UFC Women MMA.
- Celebrity MMA deathmatch reality show!

by James Moore on Jun 2, 2009 3:55 PM EDT reply actions

i would imagine fedor in the ufc could be it… i remember seeing that he wasn’t so stoked at the idea of HAVING to fight his buddy barnett… and well i think he’s realizing now that josh is all that’s left OUTSIDE of the octogon

that or buying strikeforce hahaha (which yea i understand is most likely not it)

So they starting a euro UFC or something? Be cool to have champs from across the pond fight for a world title.

by Ognitinoc on Jun 2, 2009 6:25 PM EDT reply actions

I don’t mean just having UFC sometimes over in europe but having an actual UFC that is seperate from the one in North America. With its own stable of fighters. Then once a year they have like a superbowl of the UFC and have a card made up of all champions from NA and EU fight for world titles. Great way for them to crank out more ppvs

by Ognitinoc on Jun 2, 2009 6:29 PM EDT up reply actions

I’ve said it a million times, put Kimbo in the cage with a mixed martial artist and he gets his azz kicked. Seth, a REAL fighter, out weighted by 20 lbs made short work of Luke’s hero. This will be no different. Next, Kenny will beat the slumping azz of BJ, and Luke will have to reavaluate his understand of MMA.

by Youtaped on Jun 2, 2009 7:41 PM EDT reply actions

If he really had any understanding to begin with… BJJ is just another tool now luke, not the end all be all of MMA. That ended with Royce, dude. Think I have a bit of anamosity toward the BE cart driver?

by Youtaped on Jun 2, 2009 7:43 PM EDT reply actions

They fuckin signed Fedor. It’s not that hard to figure out.

by J on Jun 3, 2009 1:19 AM EDT reply actions

Kimbo sounds like an intelligent fellow doesn’t he…‘know wat n’ sayin’, quite the contrast to a Rich Franklin or a Randy Couture. Certainly wouldn’t want to bring him along to any sanctioning committee meetings!
