Chicky-chicky-Kongo! Paul Kelly gunning for revenge, UFC greatness

Props: Telegraph.uk
Quoteworthy:
"This guy, Paul Kelly, he trains so hard. He is like my family, actually, I consider him family. Paul is my family. No-one understands how hard this guy trains. He spars so hard, he fights hard with me - a heavyweight - and with Rampage. I've seen Rampage knock him down with a punch and him get right back up. I believe he will be a great force at lightweight, he is so strong. He always shouts "Chicky-chicky-Kongo! Chicky-chicky Kongo!" as well and I had to teach him. When he was walking in the mall I gave him a good dead-leg to walk on. Of course, Paul now says he is getting me back. He has tried to kick me in the leg many times but I don't really feel it and it upsets him. He says he's bringing a baseball bat to Germany to hit me in the leg after our fights. We will see."
Rising heavyweight contender Cheick Kongo gives high praise for up-and-coming lightweight Paul Kelly who trains with the rest of Team Wolfslair in the United Kingdom. Kelly is coming off a thrilling three-round victory over Troy Mandaloniz at UFC 95 "Sanchez vs. Stevenson" and is gearing up for his next fight in the lightweight division after dropping from welterweight for the simple fact that it would only require a ten pound cut — mere child’s play by today’s standards. "Tellys" is a welcome addition to the 155-pound division — or any other weight class in the UFC for that matter, so long as he continues to put on performances like he did last February at the O2 Arena in London, England.

i dont think he is ever going to be a contender if he caries on fighting like he does… he needs some technicality to his stand up and ground game… its all about brawling with him which is cool and entertaining but its not enough these days just ask gurgel

uFCaddict: I agree that he needs to become more technical to become a contender, but I HOnestly think he will as he gets older. He is still a young kid. tOUgh as nails, killer instinct with a NASTY ground n pound and a good fighter mentality. I think we will start to see him evolve into a more technical and strategic fighter in the near future…and he will be a pretty strong fighter now that he is cutting down to welterweight. I thought he was always strong for a welterweight….at lightweight he should have a power advantage in most match ups.
I think Etim, Kelly and Taylor all have a chance at taking a step up to the next level. do I think they will be UFC champions? Probably not…but so what? they can still have good and very entertaining UFC careers!

Correction: He will be a pretty strong fighter now that he is cutting down to LIGHTWEIGHT!

Don’t really see Kelly ever making serious waves in the division. He is basically just a permanent fixture on the European cards to draw local fan interest, like Terry Etim, and Paul Taylor.

I agree about Kelly and Taylor but Terry Etim looked great in his last fight against brain cobb and is improving every fight.

For anyone who saw that kick in the mall it was hilarious. Kelly almost fell over it was so hard. Hilarious

Roli should have gotten better and got a real black belt by now since his walmart belt disintegrated.
As far as the rest of the TUFfers…

Sparring with Rampage and Kongo?? Not the sharpest tool in the shed ehh! How the hell is that supposed to help him as a fighter? I could see sparring with some bigger, stronger guys but not that much bigger and stronger.

Hows it help him? Well, after this, a kick or punch from a 155er is gonna be a joke, and as a result, he will be much tougher :P
