Maynard beats Huerta quite easily. Hands down.

Agreed. I’m a huge Huerta fan but I think Maynard will be able to control him pretty easily.

lauzon is done-dy till next year man he had knee surgery
by JG on Aug 22, 2009 1:52 PM EDT up reply actions
I don’t think that Lauzon will be fully reabillitated after that knee surgery..I say as a co-main event, anthony johnson vs lytle would be a fantastic match. I would say Karo vs Condit would be a good main event, but i don tknow if karos suspension would be through by then. I say Hazellet vs Condit/Serra, but i dont know if they would put him on a fight night card.

I dont think Karo is main event material man…. Condit vs Serra would be a good matchup. I dont know if they would put Serra on a card other than a PPV anyways so i dont know.

I dont know. But i read an interview with Dana and he would give too much away just yet but he hinted towards the Maynard-Huerta fight most likely happening.

Think Tim will try and stand with Nate.
Too bad, Tim seems like a really nice guy.

What is Hazlitts status? Could he replace Lytle?

Even though Nate is the heavy favourite to win, i’ll go with Melvin winning the upset victory here, possibly a TKO, if not, then a decision.
Nate has been disappointing in some ways, his standup is terrible. He tries too much to emulate his brother even though he isn’t even close to as good as Nick.
Maynard should win his fight.

How is that upset of the year?? If Pierce wins, i think the only one who will even care is Larson….

Can anybody explian why larson is on the undercard for this fight ?
by Casualfan on Sep 3, 2009 8:29 PM EDT reply actions
Larson wears afterbirth pajamas, thats why. He has placenta face. His nose looks like a clitoris after an evening with Ron Jeremy, thats why. Why do you ask?
by kenny schlong on Sep 7, 2009 10:15 PM EDT reply actions
Yeah I am wondering the same thing as you casualfan. How can a guy only have two losses and be the next contender for carlos condit in the WEC to sitting on the undercard? Not to mention Larson has completely dominated his last two opponents in the UFC. Sounds like BS to me.
by Fighter21 on Sep 10, 2009 8:15 AM EDT reply actions
why do UFC always protect the tuf winners??
I don’t understand this Nate Diaz… this guy sucks as a fighter.
by raul on Sep 10, 2009 1:18 PM EDT reply actions
They’ve kept him and Manny Gamburyan from EVER fighting each other again. Remember that Nate “won” TUF5 because Manny’s shoulder was broken. To be fair, Nate is a pretty damn good fighter even though he’s not the greatest personality on TV. I never liked him but I do respect his fighting now.
Still, because Manny is a flyweight in the WEC, we’ll never see him get revenge for his loss in the TUF 5 finale. That is, unless, Nate drops down to flyweight or Manny bulks what he can up.
If you’re a fan of the WEC, this card is actually pretty good. If you’re not, you’re still watching just like me, in spite of ourselves!
