Now with his new found fame and money he really needs to do something about his uni-brow and his teeth.

The best opponent Kenny could come up with to beat Machida is King MO? GIve me a break!

Its a shame that this episode of mma live was taped before the announcement that Shad was Fighting Page and Shogun is fighting Machida. THis episode is kin of a waste cause it focuses on Machida/Rampage which is a long time away!

Kenny’s most impressive performance was Chael sonnen? WOW!!!! I thought Miller would win, but HOw impressed can one ever be by a dominant dry humping win?

Is the UFC ever going to stop false advertising and change Vallaspuez’s opponent from Herring to kongo in the UFC 99 Commercial?

People need to cutt he crap with Machida and his Karate. Machida is so much more then a Karate guy…so Im getting a little sick of everyone talking about how Karate is coming back!

why does everyone keep talking about who is going to get a title shot after Florian at 155 lbs? Dont these people do their homework? Dana white already announced that with a win over Guida, Diego is getting the next title shot, and WE ALL KNOW THAT GUIDA IS NOT BEATING DIEGO!!!

FRanklin needs to get Jon jOnes cock out of his mouth. Yes he is a great talent, but no one knows how is game will progress. TO start predicting that he will be ready to upset machida in 2 years, is just a stupid and baseless claim. I like franklin as an Analyst and I love JOnes as a young prospect but come on….

I agree with most of what you said there but I do believe Jon Jones is the next champ, and I’ve been saying this for a long time, just look at the rate at which he learns… plus, he learned how to fight watching youtube videos for gods sake, he has huge potential…

i don’t know, we’ve seen Guida hump his way to the “W” in the past

I don’t know whats up with silva either he’s been champ for a long time now, learn to speak some english, I know a lot of people who learned languages in months and were fluent in a couple years.

why its not like Danas gona give him any exposure neways! absolute bullshit that its not lyoto and Rampage as coaches!

i reckon lyoto will have the beltfor over 2 years definitely!

Dana does not want to see Rampage get destroyed,it would be bad for Rampage mentality, and bad for his marketability for the UFC.
Rashad should not have stepped into the Octagon after the Jardine fight ,if that would not have happened ,they would not have made this match, somebody is going to take a huge fall in the title picture and it is probably going to be Rashad. The UFC is going to somehow keep Rampage and Lyoto from fighting as long as possible ,to build it up ,and save Rampage

I can not believe everyone is over looking Shogun. He has the best chance of beating Machida.

…at the lack of cardio game

by UFC Champ on May 28, 2009 9:21 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

hah well played..yea although i despise shogun id say he could take Machida into deeper rounds but his cardio would let him down..

in a dream world id have Shogun beat Machida allowing Rampage to whoop shogun!

by Randy for Couture on May 28, 2009 9:24 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

beating up an old shadow-of-himself Chuck doesn’t mean Shogun’s ready for title shot. Give Shogun a current top 5er and Shogun loses.

You are dreaming mate … Shogun will be back on track … I would love to see him in peak condition again, and I think he would beat Machida.

by DownUnder on May 29, 2009 12:46 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Shogun isn’t gonna get back on track against a guy like Machida. I think Lyoto beats a roidless Shogun anyday.

by naturalshadow on May 29, 2009 7:27 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

srry but he does’nt hav the best chance, his take downs r below machidas take down defence, his striking falls below machidas and his cardio can’t keep him around for more then one mistake tops..

by guyverbob on May 28, 2009 9:34 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

what make you think his style matches up where others do not.Shogun is still going to have problems hitting Machida,so he does not have any more chance than anybody else,he does have good takedowns, but so does Rashad and Tito ,and look what they got ,the L

he barely beat coleman

he barely trained for coleman. Go watch the Pride middleweight GP from 2005 and let us know your thoughts.

this is 2009 and this is not japan, go back and watch the GP in 2000 or whatever year it was when Coleman won…

by RoB on May 29, 2009 12:01 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

And back in Japan, they had no commissions to test fighters if they were positive for roids. For all we know, Shogun did some and that’s why he appears to be in peak condition. He’s all juiced up!

by Syd[a.k.a."The Negation"] on May 29, 2009 6:13 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

sTFU with the Shogun Juicing! it could be said about pretty much every fighter in Pride that came over to the UFC except for Rampage.

Henderson hasnt looked anything close to the animal he was in PRIDE but none of you TROLLS say he is on ROIDS, so stop tarnishing Shoguns name without having proof! Im not saying Hendo was on Roids…I wont ever say that about any fighter until they fail a drug test!

by john on May 29, 2009 8:54 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Shogun and Machida are 2 of my fav fighters so I’m pissed this is happening instead of seeing them whoop Rampage and whoever instead. I think Shogun is recovered from injuries and finally back, but his style doesn’t lend well to Machida b/c he is a risk taking striker that leaves himself undefensed quite a bit (though I noticed he tightened up a lot of that against Chuck 4 … while it lasted).
As far the comment about wanting to see Shogun get beat by Rampage after beating Machida?! If Shogun beat Machida there’d be no doubts he’s more then back, but better then ever… and I think that would be way too much for a Rampage already thinking post-career stardom.

And everyone keeps bringing up “barely beating Coleman”. 1st… yes he was out of shape b/c of constant injuries the last 2 yrs. and 2.) say what u want about Coleman, but his wrestling is gonna make him a tough fight at 205 for anybody. Not saying he’s gonna be a contender, but he’s a tough fight just by being a huge, good wrestler at 205. I mean his losses since 2000 have been to Cro Cop,Nog,Fedor (twice), and now Shogun… I don’t see how that deserves to be thought of as a jobber? Like he gets talked about by keyboard warriors??

Anyways, I hate to see Machida vs. Shogun happen b/c I can’t root for anybody, but it should be a fun fight… Shogun is an aggressive fighter like Thiago, but lot faster and explosive with more diverse striking… but yeah eventually he’ll get caught while coming in with that super fast straight left…

Damn I’m really starting to despise TUF…

Did u hear that Guys? Jon “Bones” Jones… I’ve been saying it since Bonner VS Jones… He’ll be the guy to give Machida a real fight.

by DAVE A on May 29, 2009 6:57 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I’ve been saying the same thing, but only time will tell.
