Can someone tell me what Dana and Rashads wife were talking about ?
by Il Nino on May 25, 2009 6:15 PM EDT reply actions
I think she was being directed out back and she would see Rashad there and not get into the Octagon.
by Nick on May 25, 2009 6:33 PM EDT up reply actions
something abt waiting in the back for rashad? she must have been worried, that was a sick KO
by bump on May 25, 2009 6:42 PM EDT up reply actions
They were probably talking about if the UFC would cover the medical bills!!!
by ajttu on May 25, 2009 6:48 PM EDT up reply actions
lol. “Will you cover the medical bills? You didn’t pay for Tito’s back surgery…”
“Yeah I like the backdoor”.

PROBALY TELLING TO SHUT HER BIG ASS MOUTH THE FANS CANT HEAR OVER HERE SHRILLING CHALKBOARD SCRAPPING HACKLE
by hhddavidson on May 25, 2009 7:39 PM EDT up reply actions
I almost feel bad for writing this, but that is so true. I couldn’t stand hearing her screaming when Rashad won his other fights. Hearing her scream while he got his ass kicked was a nice change of pace.
by naturalshadow on May 26, 2009 4:34 AM EDT up reply actions
It wasn’t her screaming… It was somebody else, you know that Chuck fight, it wasn’t her..

The only thing missing from these blogs is delagrotte. Man it was hilarious the way that guy seemed to find his way into every single blog. F waldo, where’s delagrotte?

I love how Coleman, Edgar & Serra are just chillin.
by Dennis on May 25, 2009 6:27 PM EDT reply actions
Yeah you can see Jorge Guimaraes on the phone next to them. He was in countdown to UFC 98. Such a cool and humble guy… I met him once before.

Whats BJ Penn laughing about. He got his fat potato head punched in!
by Nick on May 25, 2009 6:32 PM EDT reply actions
he was saying “he couldn’t do that sh!t to me”. he fails to realize that the fight was over 5 years ago and machida has improved tremendously since then.
by orcus on May 25, 2009 6:42 PM EDT up reply actions
True. Machida would literally send B.J. out in a bodybag today.

Hendo to Dana suggesting Soszynski should get KO bonus: “There might be best knockout of the afternight if he doesn’t get it”
lol

Him and Rampage flipping each other off cracked me up. lmao.
by Synyster on May 26, 2009 1:44 AM EDT up reply actions
lol me . I didn’t realize Rampage was there. I wonder why they didn’t bring him in the ring afterwards… perhaps because of the language difference
by Anthony on May 26, 2009 3:21 PM EDT up reply actions
The way Hendo always is busting Dana`s balls is great. He really has a cool way of carrying himself.
by tbecks on May 26, 2009 2:03 PM EDT up reply actions
She wants to go to the back to see Rashad, since he was knocked out and didn’t win I’m sure it would be in poor taste for her to storm the ring.

Hahaha in blog 4 at the 1:37 mark BJ Penn goes “He cant do that shit to me”, youve gotta love BJ…greatest of all time.
Machida is scary good man, i’ve been impressed since his fight with David Heath, so this isn’t a surprise to me i knew he would go far. The best part about this new scenario is that with all the great fighters, talent, and styles…who can dethrone Machida. t will be interesting to see Machida continuously tested by the best fighters in the world, in the best weight class in the world.
by t0pd0g on May 25, 2009 7:04 PM EDT reply actions
“he can’t do that to me”…ya because they won’t let your pudgy ass fight over 155 ever again
by McArthur on May 26, 2009 8:21 AM EDT up reply actions
I think he loved the fact rashad got ko’ed like 99% in the arena did, and bj is friends with chuck, I can see why he relished the ko.
by nathan on May 25, 2009 7:09 PM EDT reply actions
I think he has gone on record before saying how he wants Machida to knock Rashad the fk out.
by Nick on May 25, 2009 7:12 PM EDT up reply actions
well that does not change the fact that rashad knocked him the fuck out , the only difference is , is that rashad will bounce back
by andrewb on May 25, 2009 7:35 PM EDT up reply actions
well i does not change the fact that chuck got knocked the fuck out , the only difference is that rashad will bounce back
by andrewb on May 25, 2009 7:47 PM EDT up reply actions
Maybe, but Chuck certainly did a much better job of defending the belt. Rampage beat Chuck when he was in his prime, Rashad did not.
by naturalshadow on May 26, 2009 4:39 AM EDT up reply actions
You still talking about BJ?
No matter what…evertime there’s a post rather its about BJ or not you fucking douch bags always talk about him. So…he must be a big fucking factor in this sport. Its guys like you who can’t put him down and you carry and carry his name. Stfu already and get off the hate band wagon. BJ is and will be a huge factor in this sport for years to come and its you who make his name bigger and bigger.
by Gotta luv HATER's on May 25, 2009 9:15 PM EDT up reply actions
BJ is probibly one of the top three most naturally talented athletes in the game. The problem is he’s an egomaniac and has to make everything about him. Notice after Machida KOed Rashad BJ is talking about his fight with Machida five years ago. BJ is a great fighter, but ties Matt Hughes for biggest ego in the game.
by DB on May 25, 2009 11:17 PM EDT up reply actions
bj is not an athlete. having good flexibility and dexterity doesn’t make u athletic. he’s not explosive for his size, he’s not strong for his size, he’s not quick for his size, and he’s not fast for his size. he is a talented fighter with good skills, but saying he is a great athlete is a little too much IMO!
by deuce 4 on May 26, 2009 9:51 AM EDT up reply actions
yes it sure is.. BJ isn’t fast, strong, explosive or anything for his size.. he’s an athlete but he’s not athletic
by RoB on May 26, 2009 3:43 PM EDT up reply actions
What are you guys talking about? His speed and prescision of striking is incredable. Ever wonder why Freddie Roach says he’s the best boxer in MMA? It takes tremendous athleticism to get your black belt faster than any american also and to win the world championships after three years of training is unmatched. The dude is an athlete and just because he doesn’t look strong doesn’t mean he’s not athletic. It takes serious athleticism to hang with the best in the world without training as well, which is what BJ did for most of his career. The guy is good at every aspect of the game naturally. That takes some serious talent.

Not to change the subject, but how can anyone say Dana White is a bad person or bad for the sport. He gives away his tickets, as well as his support for the troops, and from what it appears the make a wish foundation. By no means am i a Dana “nuthugger” but come on the guy really cares for the fans of the sport, and I think no matter how espn or other websites portray him he’s a good and genuine person
by unforgiven on May 25, 2009 7:17 PM EDT reply actions
They say he is bad because he uses bad langauge and speaks his mind, he is not a politician.
Politician sees an idiot and says, “I prefer not to comment on this person, but the company they work for is excellent”
Dana sees an idiot and says, “that b*&tch is a f*&^@king idiot”
by Bennie Blanco on May 25, 2009 7:30 PM EDT up reply actions
Im sure he’s not a bad guy, but its all about public relations.
by underdog on May 25, 2009 8:34 PM EDT up reply actions
To ride on that people always say what a d*ck Matt Hughes is…I did not see anyone else but him (and Dana) giving the make a wish kid a signed shirt!
by Swany on May 25, 2009 9:07 PM EDT up reply actions
I think people say he’s bad for the sport because of his language. I agree with people that say that. The sactioning of MMA is tough enough, and I don’t think the president of the biggest organization in the world is doing the sport any favors by acting like a high schooler. I’m sure he’s a genuine guy, but there’s a thing called tact. Going around cursing on TV and saying things that are out of line(it’s poor taste to curse frequently for everyone and anyone to hear on national TV, especially for a guy that’s spear heading a campaign for the sport) can’t help the popularity of MMA. He’s helped bring the sport a very long way, but I think if he doesn’t start acting more professional, the sport will plateau.
by Diceman on May 25, 2009 10:43 PM EDT up reply actions
BJ went to decision with Machida, BJ is amazing!
by Bennie Blanco on May 25, 2009 7:28 PM EDT reply actions
Machida has said he doesn’t like to fight smaller guys.
by Nick on May 25, 2009 7:50 PM EDT up reply actions
I don’t like either but if they fought today then Machida would’ve win by KO in either first or second round, prolly in the first.
by JonnyBoy on May 25, 2009 11:28 PM EDT up reply actions
Wow, I’ve watched nearly everyone one of these blogs since Dana has been putting them on, and I just have to say, the way he treats the fans of the sport is awesome.
Nothing he does seems prefabricated, Dana acts like he really cares about the fans. I think that’s badass.

Anyone else notice that everyone kind of kisses up to Dana except Hughes. He wqasn’t disrespectful at all but if you watch it he stays sitting when he comes in the room. talks in a very even tone, no excitiment.

D. White n’ Hughes go back from D. White’s beginnings in UFC, they got a lot of history together.

who was the guy that dana took to lyotos locker room before the fight so he could meet him?
by dia mette on May 25, 2009 11:19 PM EDT reply actions
Yes it was.
I heard some crap the other day about Spencer Pratt from the Hills doing MMA. THis is fucking terrible. I better not ever see Dana with that Douche back stage.
by Mattchupichu on May 26, 2009 1:06 AM EDT up reply actions
so I wonder why the hell it was important to meet machida right before the fight when hes trying to focus. machida probably didnt even know who the hell he was
if your ganna introduce someone to a fighter right before the fight it better be worthwhile for the fighter like if it was jet li machida probably would have been happy for the pre fight interruption an added motivation for him but who the hell cares about ritchee
like I remember a blog where they brought wayne gretzkys wife into the locker room pre fight to meet gsp in montreal that seemed pretty cool im sure every canadian including gsp idolized the great one growing up
by dia mette on May 26, 2009 1:24 AM EDT up reply actions
Dana didn’t know whether Machida would win or lose. It would be rude to bring in a guest after a loss, so bringing them in before the fight takes place makes more sense.

by thebending on May 26, 2009 5:39 AM EDT up reply actions
Dana is a classy guy, I do think he really does care about people. Why else would he spend so much time with the fans, the two people in wheelchairs. And that’s why he can’t see Chuck come back and get cold cocked again. He doesn’t want to make money off of that.
by kibbled_bits on May 25, 2009 11:57 PM EDT reply actions
My favorite part of the blog was where BJ shooks Keith Kizer’s hand and gave him the the thumbs up.

that wasnt kiezer bj would never shake his hand hes the one bj said he doesnt trust and i dont blame him

damn that was funny as hell seeing that guys reaction closest to the cammera when rashad was flatlined you can tell he had some serious cash on evans the underdog, looks ike he dropped about 10 grand
by dia mette on May 26, 2009 1:29 AM EDT reply actions
Was it just me and my friends that saw Rashad saying “Tap, tap, tap” right after he got up the last time and Machida put him against the fence?
We rewound the fight about 3 times and all say that he was trying to tell Yamasaki that he was done and didn’t wanna take anymore punishment.
by Big Jake on May 26, 2009 2:16 AM EDT reply actions
yeah~ i think it was just u guys~
i just watched it and it looked to me like rashad was trying to throw a punch.
machida was too fast and wouldnt let him get off..plus rashad was dazed.
rashad is one tough man~ he got his jaw tapped 5 times~
by stinky~fingers on May 26, 2009 2:27 AM EDT up reply actions
