pretty shocked with that one my self, who knew frankie was that good, sherk needs to stop caring about his boxing and do what he does best, some good ol man hump, after huges and serra it’s making a come back.

No, Sherk needs to diversify his boxing. He has to evolve in order to stay competitive at the top LnP only isn’t gonna work either. He needs to move, he needs foot work, head movement, different combos and strikes. He can’t be like punch out anymore.

Im a DIE HARD fan of BJ the FIGHTER, but I often dont like the things that come out of his mouth. He came off really good in this interview!

I never liked Sherks LnP fighting style, and do find him more entertaining of late, but because of the strength that he has, his LnP style is the only reason he beat Franca and Florian. Against Penn it may not be as effective, but with nearly everbody else in that division he will more than likely get a win over them more so than trying to outstrike them.

Ya I did not expect Frankie to pull this out I was thinking as soon as sherk takes him down itll be over but Frankie kept stuffing his takedowns!!

yeah but people were underrating Frankie’s boxing.. He outstruck Tyson Griffin, for most of their fight too..
problem with Sherk is also that he’s got no punching power

We weren’t underrating it, the sneaky sob was hiding it! His boxing never looked as good as it did last night. He looked great. I didn’t see it coming but I happy for him.

ok, but it was also that people thought Sherk’s standup was better than it really is just cause he beat Tyson Griffin who’s a fighter that’s not to good in the standup really, he just throws everything into every punch and never builds his combos up so it’s easy to see his punches coming and that’s why nobody gets knocked out from him and that’s why Sherk beat Griffin even though it was a close decision..

Everytime Penn opens his mouth I just get irritated, not only does he talk alot of nonsense but his voice is so goddamn annoying.
He sounds like a wounded duck or something…

BJ has to be bi-polar or something. I thought he came off great in this clip but sometimes he’s whiny, irrational prick who talks too much crap about his opponenes.

Normally I can’t stand BJ, but I liked what he had to say in this interview. I bash BJ a lot, so I should give him credit when it’s due.

Man sherk looked like crap last night, serious though I bet there’s over a dozen 155’ers than could beat him in the stand up with his little t-rex arms, sherk really needs to evolve.

Jackson camp “masterfull at stadegy’s” LMAO!!!!! The have GSP there, what about all the other guys from the camp that lost? Gsp is the real talent from that camp, which makes them look good. I firmly believe if gsp was in another camp after his loss to serra all his fights after would have been the same.

I kind of think that this whole “strategy” thing is a little overrated. Any great fighter will tell you that they go in there and take what the fight gives them. The champions are all very well rounded and are comfortable in any position. Besides, if one guy (Lyoto) is so much better technically than another guy (Rashad) wtf cares about their strategy. You could be the brightest Mfucker on the planet and you still couldn’t devise a “strategy” to beat Lyoto.

This actually bumps Gray Maynard a lot higher in the rankings. Give him the winner of Sanchez vs Guida for the number 1 contender. I think Frankie needs 1 more fight before he can get his shot.

Have sara fight thaigo alves or have him drop down and fight the LWs a fight with sherk would be good for mat sara to know where he is at.
Although nick diaz looked like shit when he dropped down so it might not be for everyone

I agree Edgar was super impressive against Sherk. Kept moving the whole fight… that just catapulted Edgar’s status in the division IMO.
