UFC 100: Limp Bizkit concert set for Mandalay Bay Beach in Las Vegas
Fred Durst will take time away from imposing on Hugh Hefner at the Playboy mansion to perform with his recently united band, Limp Bizkit, at the Mandalay Bay Beach in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday, July 10 as part of UFC 100 weekend.
It's just one stop on the "Unicorns N' Rainbows" tour for the "rap-metal pioneers" who have not performed a concert in North America in more than eight years.
Here's a snip from the man who did it all for the nookie:
"We are proud that our first show in the USA with the original line-up in eight years will be in Las Vegas at UFC 100. The ultimate fighting music has finally found its home with the Ultimate Fighting Championship."
Tickets for the show are set to go on sale Friday, May 29 at 10 a.m. PT and will be available to purchase at www.mandalaybay.com or www.ticketmaster.com. Those who are not in "Sin City" on UFC 100 weekend can catch the concert live online at UFC.com.
Doors to to the concert will open at 7 p.m. local time -- BoneyB will perform at 8 p.m. and Limp Bizkit will go live at 9 p.m. PT.
The UFC 100 weekend extravaganza will also feature the promotion's first-ever grappling tournament in conjunction with the Grapplers Quest organization as part of the UFC Fan Expo -- a two-day fan exposition of mixed martial arts activities that starts on Friday, July 10.
In addition to the meet and greets with legendary UFC and WEC fighters, MMA demonstrations, fan-inspired special events, training and development sessions, and other exciting opportunities and entertainment, UFC officials plan to enshrine two more of its greatest stars in the Hall of Fame, coinciding with the historic 100th pay-per-view (PPV) event scheduled for Saturday, July 11.

who cares??? I liked a few songs when I was like 20…they are irrelevant at this point. whats next a pearl jam show?
I had pearl jam tix 13 years ago when they were huge and toug to come by in Hartford CT. What a show, we all took 2 hits of acid, not even knowing there would be 2 10 foot tall lava lamps on stage…amazing!!!

hey do not hate on Pearl Jam,they are still selling millions of albums, they actually have a Rock Band:Pearl Jam game coming out.
Please do not ever compare them to Limp Bizkit again, not even close

I love old pearl Jam. I heard a 3fer on thursday!! I haven’t heard their newer stuff, and don’t care to. Sorry scott, I’ll always be a pearl jam fan!

Ten was pretty much it for me. After that it was all down hill as far as I was concerned. As for Limp Bizkit they should have chosen a more relevant band instead of some washed up piece of crap.

I think we are all in agreeance that Limp Bizkit in general and Fred Durst in particular suck ass.

Dude are you kidding me?
I love me some Pearl Jam but come on, lets be real.
What kind of band RE-releases their best album whenever every other album they’ve tried ends up in the toilet?
I mean come on, whenever you’ve lost the ability to write and produce good music and have to resort to RE-RELEASING your best album its a bit pathetic.
Don’t get me wrong. I love some Pearl Jam. I can pretty much quote the Ten album, but they lost it a long time ago.
by JaSwin420 on May 23, 2009 12:47 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
everyone of their albums have went multi platinum,so that is far from the toilet
Second they are rereleasing all of their albums to build up to their 20th anniversery, they are also filming a movie with Cameron Crowe.
So they are not just rereleasing Ten
by scott on May 23, 2009 1:04 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Also remember they did hold the record for fastest album to Platinum, and it was not Ten, it was Vs
by scott on May 23, 2009 1:05 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
If you wan’t to kid yourself and think Vs was actually better then Ten, then go ahead. I think everyone was so pumped after TEN, they were all over the second album. No matter what it was, it probably would have gotten close to the same sales, based off the success of the first album.
Rockband Game? You see this as an improvment? I laugh.
by JaSwin420 on May 23, 2009 1:13 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
huh?well most Pearl Jam fans think Vs and Ten are the best albums, people who only listened to what is played on the radio think just Ten.I am sorry that I listen to something that was not on never ending cycle on the radio. The only reason, people stopped paying attention after Ten is because they stopped making video, they did not feel like making anymore.
On the video game,I was just pointing out that they are irrelevant, yes I will have the game ,but I have most of the GH games and Rock Band 1 and 2
by scott on May 23, 2009 1:30 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Go listen to Vs and say it is not as good as Ten or better, both albums are great from top to bottom, not one single bad song on either album, the only dissapointing album they put out was Binaural

anyway that is enough about Pearl Jam this is MMA website not Rolling Stone or Revolver

It is just at the fan fair thing they are having, not like Affliction with Megadeath playing during the show.
With that said ,did they really have to go and get the most arrogant pos in the world to play it.Wes Borland was the only one in that band that was not a sale out
by scott on May 23, 2009 11:47 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Fred is a big puss! He called the lead singer of Creed a punk and a bunch of other names and then when Scott challenged him to a boxing match Fred was the one who said no. What a poseur!
This is very bad for MMA. Get Breaking Benjamin to perform.

C&C Music Factory weren’t available? Dear effin’ god, this is horrible. Go back and watch the Nookie video and tell me this isn’t the worst mainstream act of the 20th century. Crap lyrics, no vocal talent (just something between yelling and rapping), horrible music, and a lack of imagination overall.
Somewhere Tom Atencio breaths a sigh of relief.

Limp Bizkit sucks. They aren’t even a relevant band anymore and never really were. But what is this, 1998? Why the hell would you book a washed up band like that to play around the time of your big event? That makes zero sense.
Also, Fred Durst? King of the douchebags. I’d love to punch that guy.

very confusing move by the ufc. i always thought they were above all the sideshow antics. i understand its a monumental event and all, and granted its not playing at the actual show. but still limp bizkit? why why? why? these guys have been off the radar for a long time and theres a good reason for that, they suk!! i listened to them ten yrs ago like everyone else, but some things are better left in the past. shame dana shame
