Jose Canseco plans to submit Hong Man Choi at Dream 9

Seriously, you can't make this stuff up:
"I don’t even know whether my punches can reach Choi’s head or not. While having a tight defense and using my footwork well to move around, I will take him down and end it on the ground with a submission."
Former Major League Baseball slugger and self-admitted steroid abuser, Jose Canseco, arrives in Japan for his upcoming showdown with 7’ 2" kickboxing gargantuan, Hong Man Choi, at DREAM 9, which will take place from the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama on May 26. Canseco has virtually zero mixed martial arts experience, making his inclusion in the "Super Hulk" tournament even more bizarre. He recently reached out to Frank Trigg for a few pointers, but "Twinkle Toes" recently told Gabriel Morency on Hardcore Sports Radio (Sirius channel 98) that he thinks Canseco is a "rat" who "just wants to get paid." Sounds about right.

kinda strange, we have a title fight this week and the biggest news has been Limp Bizcet and HMC/Canseco. The blogs have stunk, countdown wasn’t even promoted until the last second! Very strange week of ppv!

HMC may not be that good in MMA but hes pretty good in K1. I dont know where Canseco is injecting his steriods now but it must be his brain if he thinks he can win.

Lol, the thought of Canseco doing ANYTHING to HMC is a joke. Fedor had a tough task getting HMC down(HMC ended up on top if I remember correctly), so to think Canseco is doing anything with him is crazy. Kevin, I haven’t heard you say it enough so I’m curious….is HMC a can? Did Fedor and Cro Cop fight a can?

Come on! Don’t get me wrong, Choi will kill Jose Canseco, but he is absolutely a can. Brock Lesnar was supposed to fight him before he signed with the UFC, and everyone was making a joke about giving Brock a freak show fight against a can. Then a little while later, Fedor is signed to fight him, and all of a sudden Choi was considered a legit threat. I know everyone loves Fedor, and rightly so, because he is a bad ass, but it isn’t like he hasn’t crushed his share of cans in his day.

Why is it that no one remembers how Canseco destroyed Bob Sapp 2 years ago? That was just embarrassing and didn’t even make it off the prelim because it was supposed to be somewhat of Sapp’s coming out party.

In my opinion, this “freekshow” of an event shows that the UFC is definetly the best orginiazation out there. Utmost respects goes to the fighters who leave Japanase organizations in order to prove themselves against, in my opinion, the best in the world, regardless of weight class.

Okay. Round one starts. As they circle each other, Canseco leaps in and knees the techno goliath (are you kidding me) right in the babymaker. He then produces a philips head screwdriver and plunges it into Choi’s right thigh.
He’s deducted a point, so in the end Choi will win in a split decision.
