BIG NEWS***
I dont know how this news has been off the radar for the past 2 months, but Yoshiyuki Yoshida has been in New Mexico for the past 2 months, training with Greg Jackson. I expect serious improvements out of the impressive Judoka!

by john on May 21, 2009 7:18 PM EDT up reply actions

Really john?

“Big news”?

You’re slipping, man.

;-)

by Jeremyjackson on May 21, 2009 7:23 PM EDT up reply actions

John, you must be crapping your pants with delight over Fedor/Barnett on August 1st, no? That is going to be awesome, I hope Fedor comes in looking a little better conditioned than he did against AA.

just got back from terminator salvation maniacs and let me tell you it was EPIC!!! FUCK THAT MOVIE WAS AMAZING

by Clinton Jackson (formerly Jared) on May 21, 2009 9:12 PM EDT up reply actions

No offense Jared (you’ll always be Jared to me), but you’re 15, man. The movies I loved when I was 15 suck when I watch them now.

That said, I love Christian Bale and the Terminator franchise so I’m looking forward to it.

I’m disappointed that they made it a PG-13 summer affair. I was hoping they’d return to the bad-ass roots of the original Terminator, which I saw when I was in grade three for the first time, and was very much an R rated movie.

by Jeremyjackson on May 21, 2009 9:34 PM EDT up reply actions

the movie was lacking an r-rating that it shouldve been like every other terminator but the characters and action made up for that

by Clinton Jackson (formerly Jared) on May 21, 2009 9:46 PM EDT up reply actions

I thought it was pretty good. Not go-see-it-again-in-theaters good, but definitely gonna buy it on Blu_Ray. I still got to see StarTrek and Angels and Demons though. Looking forward to Transformers II

by Synyster on May 21, 2009 10:15 PM EDT up reply actions

for sure man heard nothing but good things about star trek

by Clinton Jackson (formerly Jared) on May 21, 2009 10:30 PM EDT up reply actions

Angels and Demons is a good movie…i like the way that they put together the atom particles accelerator(something that lots of peoples don’t know about)and the recent change of the pope!

by Alpha Male 360 on May 21, 2009 10:33 PM EDT up reply actions

Jared:You’re 15?

JJ: The reason why the movies sucked back when we were kids is because of the special effects back then. Man it really sucked d

Syn: Lookin’ forward to Transformers II as well. And also G.I. Joe Rise of the Cobra!! now that is kisk-a$$!Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow rule!!

by Syd[a.k.a."The Negation"] on May 21, 2009 10:50 PM EDT up reply actions

Fast and Furious is the best movie so far this year though!

by RoB on May 21, 2009 10:51 PM EDT up reply actions

16 in less than a month !

by Clinton Jackson (formerly Jared) on May 21, 2009 10:54 PM EDT up reply actions

Syd: It isn’t just the special effects, man. I’m more a dialogue/character guy, and movies that I found riveting and intelligent when I was a kid seem shallow and corny to me now. I’m just old, I guess.

:-(

by Jeremyjackson on May 21, 2009 11:49 PM EDT up reply actions

Nah JJ. It’s just that you’re more mature when it comes to flicks, and some movies that you liked back then would suck now. Take Bloodsport by Van Damme for example. i found that movie to be kick-ass when I was a kid. But now, I wouldn’t waste time watchin’ it again. So no, you ain’t old. haven’t you heard of the expression, 30 is the new 20?! LOL

by Syd[a.k.a."the Negation"] on May 22, 2009 2:35 AM EDT up reply actions

hey JJ: that was actually the 1st I have heard of Barnett/Fedor being official. I didnt even know that affliction 3 had picked a date (Aug 1st)….I have been so swamped with work, that I only really get a chance to post early in the morning. From like 6 am to 10am at the latest. So i spend what few computer time I have, posting on this site, and havent been able to keep up with outside of this site news. IM RELYING on Mania, and you Maniacs for the daily scoop, these days!

JJ: not big news from what you guys are accustomed to me posting, but as a bigtime Yoshida fan, its big news to me. I love Japanese fighters and I think that training in America will take their games to a new level…for that this news is big to me, and I am excited to see what improvements greg Jackson has made to his game.

Nick J: was talking about how most of Jacksons fighters were already big stars when they started training at Jacksons, and that its how much a coach can improve his 2nd tier fighters, that should measure a trainers abilities….and I totally agree with him. THats why seeing what Jackson can do for Yoshida will be a good measure of just how good Greg jackson really is.

by next thursday, I will be done school and back to my Maniacal blogging ways! Enjoy your break from me FOCKERS!!! Im coming back to blog with vengeance! lol

by john on May 22, 2009 9:18 AM EDT up reply actions

I figured John, just making sure! I enjoyed our daily texts, then they abruptly stopped! I got your spot saved (only one I actually saved)!

by kevin on May 21, 2009 7:28 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m thinking John needs some space, and possibly wants to start seing other people. It’s not you Kevin, it’s him.

by Jeremyjackson on May 21, 2009 7:45 PM EDT up reply actions

LOL!

by Alpha Male 360 on May 21, 2009 7:52 PM EDT up reply actions

lol, thats what I was thinking too! I know he lost his phone for a few days, but now he’s ignoring me. JJ, is he cheating with you?

by kevin on May 21, 2009 7:54 PM EDT up reply actions

LMAO!

by Alpha Male 360 on May 21, 2009 7:58 PM EDT up reply actions

off topic, I was just looking at the lines!
Rashad and Serra are paying pretty good! I may put a 100 on a parlay between the 2. it will pay great!

by kevin on May 21, 2009 7:58 PM EDT up reply actions

Ahh, he puled the old “lost my phone” line on you, huh Kev?

Things are worse than I thought.

:-(

by Jeremyjackson on May 21, 2009 8:40 PM EDT up reply actions

yup…no one has ever used that line on me before, usually I’m the one using it!

by kevin on May 21, 2009 8:41 PM EDT up reply actions

You guys crack me up

by Synyster on May 21, 2009 10:13 PM EDT up reply actions

Kev- you’re awesome and have everything going for you. John’s an idiot not to see that. You’re so better than him girl! He’s gonna regret it. He’ll be back.

by DSmith on May 21, 2009 10:17 PM EDT up reply actions

LOL!

by Jeremyjackson on May 21, 2009 10:55 PM EDT up reply actions

gi joe and transformers 2 look great too! I don’t buy movies and hav to agree, the effects weren’t as good as they are no (when we were kids).
Rob, that comment (fast and furious) is exactly what I mean about you sometimes!

by kevin on May 22, 2009 1:18 AM EDT up reply actions

did you guys see this on spike? Kinda funny. what I noticed the most was how big Bisping is compared to Dan!
http://www.spike.com/video/meet-me-at-monkey/3174176

by kevin on May 21, 2009 7:12 PM EDT reply actions

I thought the opposite??

by Alpha Male 360 on May 21, 2009 7:18 PM EDT up reply actions

I dont think you guys realize just how Big Bisping is at middleweight. He is going to be much bigger and Faster then Hendo…but Hendo should still have the strength advantage!

by john on May 21, 2009 7:23 PM EDT up reply actions

I knew he was big, I didn’t realize Dan was so small!

by kevin on May 21, 2009 7:28 PM EDT up reply actions

Dan is small, but seems more buff than Bisping!

by Alpha Male 360 on May 21, 2009 8:02 PM EDT up reply actions

he’s only 5’11..

by RoB on May 21, 2009 8:34 PM EDT up reply actions

Well I guess you kinda shrink as you get older…

by Syd[a.k.a."The Negation"] on May 21, 2009 10:53 PM EDT up reply actions
