Chuck might not be able to hang with top level fighters anymore, but he would beat the snoght out of Shaq.

by belfort_fan on May 7, 2009 12:49 PM EDT up reply actions

yeah, I’ve been hearing that a lot this morning….. joking

I think Shaq and Chuck are friends and mutual fans. If anything, they can put on an “exhibition” like Fedor/Aoki. They can do it for a charity.

The only problem with this is if he does actually decide to fight he will have to go to Japan as he is 330lbs and is never making the 265lb weight limit that is mandatory everywhere else.

Cool to hear Shaq has been training MMA for 10 years though. Im surprised I never heard about this sooner or maybe I did and I chose to ignore it!

by Ca$z on May 7, 2009 1:10 PM EDT up reply actions

Sorry was that an interview cos all I heard was….

shaq…6 levels.com…first take…6 levels.com…6 levels academy…6 levels.com…6 levels.com…6 levels academy…6 levels.com…6 levels…6 levels academy…6 levels.com…6 levels…bare naked choke…6 levels academy…6 levels.com…6 levels…6 levels academy…6 levels.com…6 levels…6 levels academy…6 levels.com…6 levels…6 levels academy…6 levels.com…6 levels…6 levels academy…6 levels.com…6 levels…6 levels academy…6 levels.com…6 levels…

then I fell asleep…

by Ca$z on May 7, 2009 1:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Yup! Pretty much sums it up.

by Jay K. on May 7, 2009 1:24 PM EDT up reply actions

What? When did he mention 6levels.com?

by Joe Smith on May 7, 2009 4:30 PM EDT up reply actions

The fat chick also said something about a bare naked grab which made me feel sick.

by Punch You in the Ovaries on May 7, 2009 5:33 PM EDT up reply actions

I wish Chuck would go to 6 levels, and punch that trainer in the face 6 times, for all the times he plugged his gym.

Ca$z- Good call. I hoped that I wasn’t the only one that found that to be annoying.

by naturalshadow on May 7, 2009 6:13 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s an embarrassment that this interview full of nonsense and self-promotion was longer than everything I’ve ever seen on Sportscenter about MMA collectively.

by mikemick on May 8, 2009 4:56 PM EDT up reply actions

Could Shaq make 265???

by allamerican on May 7, 2009 1:54 PM EDT up reply actions

Go Shaq!

by O damn he got caught on May 7, 2009 11:49 AM EDT reply actions

I like it lol

by JG on May 7, 2009 11:56 AM EDT up reply actions

O’Neil is a really cool guy. He is obsessed with traditional martial arts and mma. I believe he has a couple black belts in traditional martial arts. This video is no secret to anyone who is a fan.

Go Shaq!

by O damn he got caught on May 7, 2009 11:49 AM EDT reply actions

Shaq can’t fight! He got taken down by Barkley, and couldn’t even connect on a blind side shot on Brad Miller back in the day. Maybe they should put him in the ring w/ Kimbo :).

by LJ on May 7, 2009 11:50 AM EDT reply actions

barkley is a bad dude. and brad miller is very lucky his head didnt end up in the 4th row.

by Ted on May 7, 2009 11:58 AM EDT up reply actions

Barkley was one of the toughest guys to play in the NBA

by lokie on May 7, 2009 1:37 PM EDT up reply actions

Shaq would draw mainstream thats for damn sure, although he would never make the 265lb division unless he cut off his leg.

by markie on May 7, 2009 11:55 AM EDT reply actions

haha true

by ja434650 on May 7, 2009 12:47 PM EDT up reply actions

I wwould like to see Shaq in a fight against someone closer to his size.that dude is huge and him calling out the Iceman is ridiculous.

by the Levi on May 7, 2009 12:09 PM EDT reply actions

at this point a 155er would find a way to tap Shaq! He should start by calling out f*ckin Gabe Rudeiger!

by allamerican on May 7, 2009 1:57 PM EDT up reply actions

WOW…. Chuck Ly-dell. It’s always funny to see people who have now idea about MMA try to talk about it. Bear naked choke?? Come on now, lets do some homework.

by ajttu on May 7, 2009 12:09 PM EDT reply actions

I think what she was saying is “bare naked choke”
she was thinking of something else.

by the Levi on May 7, 2009 12:13 PM EDT up reply actions

Didn’t watch the video above, but if its the same thing that aired on First Take yesterday, I believe Dana said “Bare Naked Grasp”.

Devouted First Take fans: Does Dana fall asleep with the tv on? (from today’s episode, beginning of 2nd hour) IF so, what was she watching? Hint – it ends in a Jay Crawford high five.

by ViolentMike on May 7, 2009 3:41 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree. If your going to do an interview with someone at least do a little research. She was probably out getting drunk again instead though.

by arm bar on May 7, 2009 12:16 PM EDT up reply actions

yh i totally agree, stupid bitch should do some research before doin her interview, not just on the moves but the fighters aswell .It is as if Chuck is the only MMA fighter in the world today, first of all he is a LHW and shaq is a heavyweight and second of all liddel is retired

by andrewb on May 7, 2009 12:58 PM EDT up reply actions

SAPP v SHAQ!!!!

good call…in a loser gives up his lunch for a month match

by McArthur on May 7, 2009 12:24 PM EDT up reply actions

is it just me or do you think he said 6 levels.com enough? lol

by Freight on May 7, 2009 12:13 PM EDT reply actions

he said it evey three seconds for the whole five min interview. Half the words he said were either 6 or levels. What a crappy interview. I really can’t see a Chuck vs Shaq matchup.

by BritishBulldog on May 7, 2009 12:56 PM EDT up reply actions

Totally agree BB. What an irritating f*ckin interview.

We get it already with the F*CKIN 6 LEVELS SHIT!!!! aaaarrrrgggghhhh.

I think it worked on me though cos I’ll never forget the name of that place as long as I live after seeing that interview!

by Ca$z on May 7, 2009 1:14 PM EDT up reply actions

there you go… seriously, give the guy props for pumping his gym.

by JB on May 7, 2009 3:08 PM EDT up reply actions

Take away the cobwebs and then she can give me head while I’m watching the next UFC.

by JonnyBoy on May 7, 2009 12:39 PM EDT reply actions

Wow, how many times did he get a plug in for his 6 Levels Gym?

by Chuck on May 7, 2009 12:55 PM EDT reply actions

Shaq is a good dude.

by ChefDaddy on May 7, 2009 12:56 PM EDT reply actions

I would have to disagree. He gets alot of credit, but he is a giant baby. He left the magic because he didnt get enough of the props beacause of Peny Hardeway, then he blamed Kobe for getting traded from LA beacause he cried Kobe got credit, then after D-Wade came into his own and became the star, he demanded a trade out of Miami, and now he is asking to be traded from Phoenix. Shaq is a cry baby. He does do alot for less fortunate people, but he cries to much to be a good dude.

by lokie on May 7, 2009 1:44 PM EDT up reply actions

Shaq is a douche.

by RyanHobbs on May 8, 2009 5:11 AM EDT up reply actions
