BJ’s training involves nothing but rolling with Rude Boy and the other chumps he’s been beating up on his whole life while they kiss his ass and tell him how great he is, without actually making him any better. Meanwhile, Kill-Flo is continuing his evolution, learning new skills and improving his current ones and will come into their fight in far better condition than Penn and with skills Penn hasn’t seen from Kill-Flo before. Kill-Flo by RNC in he 4th after Penn is too tired to mount any sort of offense.

Im from Philly, and I have watched Iverson play since he was a youngbuck at Georgetown. They had a great team in G-town with guys like Victor Page, Jahadi White, Jerome Williams, Bubacar Aw, Othella Harrington, ya ya Dia…so as you can tell, I know a thing or two about Iverson since I can pretty much list all his college teamates, and followed his entire career in Philly. My dad actually had season tickets the year we went to the finals with A.I…Even though I was his biggest fan, I gotta keep it real:

Lack of practice was not his problem…allen, just doesnt know how to play the game of basketball. He knows how to score the ball, but thats about it. NO defense at all! Yes he had tons of steals, but they all came from gambling and playing the passing lanes…when he didnt get the steals, he would leave his teamates defensive rotation in shambles. Never made any of his teamates better.

He looked amazing. Coming off of this loss I think he realizes that he belongs at 155 and will defend his title successfully. I know Kenny is a much improved fighter and I like him a lot. But this is BJ’s title to lose and you have to respect what he did to take it. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Bottom line… BJ is probably the most naturally gifted fighter out there. Unfortunately for him (and the fans), he also has one of the poorest work ethics.

I hate to make the comparison (and I’m sure I’ll get ripped for it), but this reminds me of Ken Shamrock from the early to Mid 90’s. Ken at the time was an animal, but he got content training with the same ole group of guys from Lion’s Den which resulted in a total lack of evolution to his game. If BJ doesn’t get out of his comfort zone and bring in some training partners that can actually challenge him and make him better, he will continue to stagnate while hungry young fighters like Florian, Sanchez, and a host of others, evolve beyond his level.

It’s sad to see arguably one of the best pound-4-pound fighters in history pissing his career away because of shear laziness.

Man up, get with a real camp, bring in some real competition and get back to the old “Prodigy.”

With things being the way they are, I have to take Florian in 4 by stoppage…

Getting back to the old Prodigy would be a mistake. Do you know the definition of Prodigy? Dictionary .com: prodigy – a person, esp. a child or young person, having extraordinary talent or ability… that means you did not work to get it, you were born with it. That is BJ’s problem. He was hailed the Prodigy and he bought the hype. Guys like GSP, Spider, Sugar Rashad all have talent and skills but they worked hard to refine the skills and become better. BJ strikes me as the kind of guy that is happy just being the prodigy. Full disclosure, I am a BJ fan.

I’ve stayed at that hotel and it’s a great place to workout….especially their Water Aerobics with Hector the Margarita maker.

The news on “Ken-Blow” is that his new diet consists of covering his pasta and veggies with Vaseline. It goes in easy and comes out looking like GSP in UFC 94……shiny. For all of you that BJ is a joke……keep paying him by watching his fights….suckers (as we continue to blog while he makes money)
