we all know where I stand on this issue.
My favorite Fedor moment was probably the combination he opened up with in the 2nd round of the cro cop fight….just bad ass!

the answer is simple. Fedors opponents get paid $$$ to fall down. especially his last two fights, neither one was very convincing either. Especially Sylvia though, what a horrible actor. Andrei did ok acting like he was knocked out though. My guess is these “payoffs” were happening in pride too.

After Andy Wang and of course Danny Abadi #1…

FOR ALL YOU C**K HEADS who doubt that he is the best on the planet, I get very confused/frustrated when you argue against the elite fighters on the planet are saying. Listen to the quotes, look at the wins … Fedor is EASILY the number one heavyweight on the planet. (Forget this pound for pound shit, it is unmeasurable. Show me a formula that is not opinion based and I will listen)
On another note, I had never seen his fight against Sylvia from that camera angle, looked sick, blasting through the clinch/close range. Very nice.
Great video, thanks Mania.

I’ve seen some cool Fedor compilations, but that one takes the cake. Awesome.
I thought it was funny how the highlights of the Arlovski fight were about 2/10ths of a second long, though. LOL.

Holy crap. I forgot about Arlovski. I didn’t even see it in there. That is sad. I’ll have to watch it again. Really liked the ending. And the almost first person perspective when fedor was pounding that dude out. Gives you a good idea of what it might be like to be on the receiving end.

I wish there was one where they showed the amount of GNP he put on herring. I love that fight because herring is so good at escapes but every time he rolled, he was just met with more punches. Best display of GNP ever.

Fedor is awesome. I hope he never loses, I’ll possibly cry. His demeanor is great and his fighting is great.
But imagine his persona was all an act and at home with his wife he was a dominating bastard, “Hey Olga, Olga! Fedor is hungry, get me my f-cking eggs, come on!”
“But my name’s not Olga.”
“What? Shut up! Fedor doesn’t care what your name is. Now let’s frickin eat and watch some more Fedor highlights.”
LOL.

I would like to see Fedor against the bigger monsters like Carwin and Lesnar — Hong Man Choi doesn’t count by the way.
Fedor is my favorite HW, but it’s difficult to see him beat these guys. It’s probably laughable to some to think Lesnar would even have a chance, and I hope they’re right, but the sheer size and strength, not to forget speed (of Lesnar in particular) seems very overwhelming.
I also wonder whether he’s on a slight decline. I seriously hope not.
The best thing for Fedor, or the worst depending on his success, would be to go to the UFC.
by Johnny Farnham on May 1, 2009 11:10 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Like Carwin even registers on his radar! Why do people keep blowing smoke up his ass, he’s fought one top 20 opponent in Gonzaga who’s still dining out on landing the luckiest kick in the history of MMA. Suddenly that qualifies him to be a threat to Fedor. The two shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence.
I’m a huge Brock fan but he wouldn’t last a round against Fedor. He’s just too aggressive and better in every area than Lesnar.
by attakdog on May 2, 2009 10:10 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
i completely disagree with the aggression comment, but i hope that fedor would humble lesnar so he’d stop talking in third person.

Any time any arguement over him crops up, I always think of the Randleman fight. Every time.
by Sir Chokemout on May 1, 2009 3:25 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
The fact that Fedor survived that monster (no pun intended) slam and turned it around is heart and focus in their purest definitions.
by Machine on May 1, 2009 4:17 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
That slam looked lethal. That being said, Randleman sucks and is a puny heavyweight.
by Jeremyjackson on May 1, 2009 4:23 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Probably about the same size or bigger than Fedor though, he’s small for a HW as well.
by O damn he got caught on May 1, 2009 5:27 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Bigger in muscle, not frame. Randleman is a good wrestler, that’s it. I still love watching that fight, though.
I would love to see Fedor cut some fat and fight at LHW. So much more talent there. But then again, he’d probably ask, “Why? I’m kicking everyone’s ass at the weight I’m already at.”

That’s true! Fedor is a small heavyweight.I don’t even have Fedor in my top ten P4P best. Because, I don’t care how much you weigh, Fedor will beat your a@@ in the ring! This machine, or animal, or whatever this thing is, is in a league of it’s own!!!

But my opinion remains the same if he is still the best he has to prove it, fighting ex UFC champions doesn’t prove how good he is now Cro Cop has a good shot at beating both those guys as well now day’s? Fact is Barnett is the #1 ranked challenger for the Affliction HW belt any other fight outside the UFC proves nothing on how good Fedor is now.

He is the best in my mind right now, but to solidify that I feel he has got to sign a deal with the UFC and do it in the biggest stage of them all. If Brock beats Mir, and has another title defense, Dana should swallow all the pride he has and give Fedor whatever he wants because that fight between him and Brock whether Brock is ready or not will sell more than any UFC fight in history. They could put that fight in a football stadium and still sell it out.
by sf on May 1, 2009 3:27 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I honestly feel that Anderson Silva would have a better chance of defeating Fedor than Lesnar. Fedor’s quickness and power on the feet would overwhelm Lesnar and he would get knocked out in my opinion. Brock is to slow and doesn’t have the striking and speed in the hands or feet to hang with Fedor. I think Anderson could bulk up a little, just as he did for the Irvin fight when he came in at 206 and give Fedor and us fans one hell of a fight. I think Fedor is awesome, don’t get me wrong, but I think Anderson Silva could hang with anybody at any weight class. He wants those kind of fights. Also, did anybody notice that for the Leites fight he came in at 182. What is that about? I was stunned.
By the way, the video was awesome. So is Fedor.
by Adam T. on May 1, 2009 3:32 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Lesnar is quick for his size. But his speed is on his feet and on the ground, not in his hands.
Compared to Silva he looks like he is punching underwater.
by Jeremyjackson on May 1, 2009 4:27 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, ask Heath Herring and Randy Couture just how slow his hands are. Ask Mir how slow Lesnar’s hands are just before Mazagatti gave him a gift from Heaven.

Hmm, that vid had no highlights of Fedor v Babalu.
Anderson Silva would have his head knocked clean off his shoulders vs Fedor. Only Brock or Werdum, yes Werdum, would stand a chance. Nog tried to hard to box with Fedor the in the second fight. Werdum wouldnt be so stupid. I’d love to see Fedor try to grapple with Werdum. I guess we will come ADCC.
by Youtaped on May 1, 2009 3:54 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Werdum also tried to box with Junior Dos Santos so I wouldn’t put it past him being that stupid. He doesn’t have the striking or the work ethic required to give Fedor a competetive fight.
Brock has all of the physical tools to one day be a tough opponent but right now he is too inexperienced and hasn’t developed his striking or jits to anywhere near the level he’d need to beat Fedor.
Anderson is ridiculously talented and is right up there with Fedor as a top p4p fighter and I don’t think he’d be KO’d but I also think the weight gain would be too much for him to truly test Fedor. Unless Fedor could make the cut to 205 to fight Silva, then I don’t think he has a hope of winning despite his dominance in the UFC and as an Ando fan it pains me to admit this.

His last two oppents are the same calibure as Cro Cop and Herring. I would love to see Cro Cop fight Sylvia it would be a good fight as well Andre & Cro Cop would = a stand up war! But as far as fighting for a title there days are long over….well maybe not in Affliction LOL.
by Beaver on May 2, 2009 4:08 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
You don’t think Arlovski could compete for the title right now in the UFC?
by Jeremyjackson on May 2, 2009 4:15 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Like I said he’s at the same level as Herring/Tim/CroCop/Werdum/Gonzoga/Cigano. AA against any of those guy’s would be a great battle that could go either way. I would bet on the following NOG/Mir/Couture/Barnett/Brock/Carwin anyday over AA. Don’t get me wrong AA could pull an upset with his KO power but those guy’s above are either more skilled MMA wise are too big and strong for AA’s style. The last decent opponent AA has fought is Werdum that went to a decision sice his two losses to Tim.

Anyone who thinks Fedor isnt the Best Fighter of all time is a complete idiot. What does this guy have to do to be considered the best of all time. How can anyone put anderson ahead of him. Lutter, Cote, Leben, are you kidding me,, you think thats top level competition. he just KOd in less then 4 minutes two top 10 UFC Heavyweights, and your telling me who he has fought? really? really? he’s undefeated, did you not see the video of him literally killing people? andersons video,, would be him dancing, moving his head, dancing, hitting once and running away, and dancing,, cmon guys,, show this man respect, hes in an entirely different league then Anderson, GSP or anyone MMA fighter.
And anyone who thinks Brock would give Fedor Difficulty or Mir, cmon guys,, Brock couldn’t trade with Fedor, and if he got him down on the ground the fight would be over in less then a minute, and Mir,, really?? you think he would tapout Fedor? cmon guys,,

by Jeremyjackson on May 1, 2009 4:57 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I would think Anderson would give Fedor a good fight if all they could do was stand-up. However having watched them both fight I can easily deduce that Fedor would get the takedown with ease, at which point Silva would be eating leather until the ref pulled Fedor off. That is unless Silva could do more with him on the ground than Big Nog did. Right….

You’re probably right. But we’ll never know for sure…
by Jeremyjackson on May 1, 2009 9:01 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Um, someone got a little excited with the fast-forward button on the video.
Everyone is the best until they get beat. I never felt Chuck was the best, but he was Sherdog’s fighter of the year only 3 years ago. It’s amazing how quickly it can turn around.
I think Silva would have a better chance at Fedor than Werdum (which was mentioned in a comment above). Fedor would be able to keep the fight standing with Werdum, and exploit him. Silva would at least have a puncher’s chance.
I think a smaller and faster guy, is the key ingredient against Fedor. I think there are Lt heavy’s that would fare better than most of the HW fighters against him.
That said, it is great to see him keep the streak alive. The longer he extends his win streak, the more exciting the phenomenon becomes. It is fun watching greatness happen right before you.
by mikemick on May 1, 2009 4:44 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
My only problem with the whole Gretzky/Jordan/Woods analogy is that Tiger/Mike/Wayne continually played against other greats. And proved that they were the best. Fedor has beaten other greats (Coleman, Nog, Crocop, Arlovski.) However, he isn’t keeping that legacy up. He may have been the best in the world. He may still be. But with a title like “Best in the world” you constantly have to live up to that.
The only thing that this video proves is that Fedor is really good at beating people up who have glandular disorders (Zuluzinho? Really? That’s worthy of a highlight?)
Like I said he may be the best in the world… but for my money… he isn’t keeping that up.

The whole debate for best P4P is pointless since it is pure speculation and opinion. I still think A. Silva is #1, but his last 2 fights SUCKED, and causes me to question what he is fighting for.
Fedor goes out there to destroy who ever is put in front of him. Going late into the rounds or winning a decision isn’t even in him. I wish Dana would follow his own talk about hating boxing because the promoters wouldn’t put the best guys against each other, which is why boxing is dying. Dana, if you are the fight fan you claim to be, just once put aside the business side of things and gives us all (including you, the fight fan of Dana White) what we want. Stop all the talk and set up something to have Fedor fight the best the UFC has to offer.
Until that happens, all the debating is pointless. No doubt, Fedor is a scary fighter for sure!
by sawyer on May 1, 2009 5:29 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I think you need to watch more of his fights, he has several decisions on his resume ,all fighters do.Hey would you be willing to build an entire stadium in Russia for him, because that one of the demands his management team made
by scott on May 1, 2009 5:33 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I realize it’s not all Dana, and I’m not Dana bashing. I understand he has many decisions on his record as well, but I don’t think he has fought to go to a decision. I’m a huge A. Silva fan, but I’m affraid something might have changed with him lately. Maybe his not being challenged or something. But Fedor isn’t really being challenged lately either, and he won his last 3-4 fights the way all would hope, proving his is at the top of the fight game. No disputing A. Silva was dominant in his wins too, but that killer instinct wasn’t here, and I was left feeling disappointed. I guess I won’t have to worry about that with Forrest fighting Silva, but that’s a post for a different topic.

Amen Sawyer……And if D White does sign a mystery fighter to a 1 fight contract, then that negates all of his complaints, because I am sure Fedor would be happy to make that deal as well……..1 Fight against whoever is the current Heavyweight champ…..Even if Fedor wins and vacates the title…Who cares….No one believes the UFC has the #1 HW fighter so there would be no lose regardless of the outcome……Thats what a true fight fan wants to see!!!!!
by Venzia on May 1, 2009 9:34 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Venzia, I agree with you, but it won’t happen. Part of the reason the UFC has been so successful is it has been able to bring in millions of casual fans. These casual fans don’t understand the complexities of MMA and the fact that not all of the best fighters are in the UFC. If Dana brought in Fedor, it would raise all kinds of questions, and give the casual fans exposure to other organizations. I think it would reduce the strangle hold the UFC has a little. Yes the UFC would break all their PPV records with a fight like that (Fedor vs Lesner), but it would risk losing even more money later on with the casual fans finding other places and organizations to watch good MMA.
I still want to see Fedor fight Barnett (who I don’t think would stand much of a chance). I don’t give any UFC HW a chance to beat Fedor, but there are still some fights I would love to see. Maybe the MMA fairy will grant all our wishes and make it happen.

People keep saying eyes closed…..I dont get it….These guys train night and day striking…..They should be able to calculate thier strikes and hit something they aim for with thier eyes closed…Like a musician playing his instrument for countless hours and can hit the notes without looking at them or someone typing a keyboard….Shooting a 3 pointer or tossing a pass….With enough practice you dont need to be constantly monitoring what you’re doing……Comes with mastering a sport……And although Arlovski may have won some portion of the fight, he couldnt even get out of the first round…..Could say Rich Franklin was doing well against Anderson before he was clinched into non existence…..Whatever the excuse, the guy IS coming through in his fights….And regardless of competition he has never lost..>>99% of fighters have lost to inferior competition…..Except a select few and After Machida Evans, there will be one less on that list…….

Fedors left hook is posssibly his biggest weapon!
It would be very interesting to see if Fedor lost all his fat and replaced it with muscle would it make a difference – and would the change be positive or negative….
like i mean he is already sooo fast – less fat would automatically mean faster but the additional muscle could slow him down…. interesting for ne1 else??

Whack off material for john for sure. Fedor- “must destroy opponent”, guys like the terminator, awesome video. I would love to see dana’s god anderson silva fight fedor at some special super heavy weight super fight silva is around 215 and fedor 230 both natural heavyweights, pipe dream I know but damn it would be fun to watch.

How good is Fedor? The best fighter Fedor has beat? Has Fedor fought the second best HW? questions that can’t be answered. I know videos like this fool the simle mines but reality is Fedor was a great fighter nothing he has done in the past couple years warrant him a #1 ranking in todays MMA and I like Fedor. To warrant a #1 ranking you have to prove you can always beat the number two ranked or a top ranked challenger. Fedor has not done this and that is a fact even his most hardcore fans can’t argue, they will argue how good Tim and AA the past UFC champions are but fact remains they all got beat off. Who is the best fighter Fedor has beat most wil say NOG how good is NOG now? Has Fedor ever fought the second best since NOG…No those two answers alone make you wonder how good Fedor is now the truth is he’s as good as you want him to be and no one can prove you wrong because you believe. It’s sad you can’t have fact to back up your claim though.

There isn’t a #1. It’s all opinion on who is. It’s opinion when someone says Fedor can beat Mir it’s opinion when someone say’s Mir can beat Fedor. Unless they fight each other to make it a fact it`s opinion. One fact no one can argue is the UFC belt is viewed by more MMA fans eye`s than any other belt in the world when it`s put on the line. Making it the most honored belt in MMA!

There is not doubt in my mind that fedor is the best HW right now but to say ever is stupid. Because who knows who could be around the corner. But he is the best HW right now. And the p4p shit is stupid there is valid arguements for silva gsp and fedor. I think the most dangerous opponents for fedor is in the ufc. Lesnar is dangerous for anyone. Carwin the guy knocked gonzaga out with a dam jab. Kongo has insane standup all those guys might not be better overall but if ne1 says those guys aint dangerous u gotta be a idiot. Ufc has the best up and comers. Fedor in my opionon has one more reasonable fight in affliction before there is nothing left. If he want to stay atop the heap he has to go to the ufc. Where he belongs let him do his stupid samba shit.

Alright… let’s get one thing straight.
Fedor is to Affliction, As Kimbo was to Pro Elite. The minute Fedor loses Affliction is done! All his fights in the U.S. at least are probably fixed
by ironfist_55 on May 1, 2009 11:15 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Limpwrist you are on crack, Fedor is and will be always the # 1 HW in the world, I know you are trying to be funny with the whole “fight fixing comment”, but its not funny, Fedor bows down for no man. Ferdor, simply the best ever.

I haven’t seen all of Fedor’s fights. But if someone, ANYONE can show me one fight in which Fedor actually lost a round, I’d really appreciate it. In all of the fights I’ve seen him in, I haven’t seen him lose a round yet. No doubt he was in serious trouble against guys like Arlovski, Hunt, Randleman, and Fujita but he wound up finishing them all before the end of the round.
To all of you new fans out there, I feel bad for you that are sheep to Zuffa’s media push to establish that Anderson Silva is the #1 P4P fighter. He’s not even close to Fedor in my opinion. Neither is GSP. Both of these men have lost fights (Fedor hasn’t…don’t give me the BS about the fight that should’ve been a NC). Both Silva & GSP have lost rounds. Fedor hasn’t. Fedor doesn’t have “off nights” where he decides to fool around with fighters instead of finishing them off.
To all the tools who honestly buy into the notion that anyone else other than Fedor is the top P4P fighter in the world, you need to go to YouTube right now and download as many of his fights as you possibly can to see what you’ve missed.

WHO The fuck cares who the best p4p fighter is! There in different weight classes it all speculations. Yea they might fight some day but untill that day shut your dam trap. People like Jake that go fedor is the best fighter in the world who gives a shit. There is two fights in my opinion that can prove someone is the best right now silva vs fedor or silva vs gsp untill then its all speculation. And saying a fighter is worse because he has a loss is just ignorant. If anything Gsp has gotten better since his losses. And he beat the two people that beat him in dominant fashion. Fedor hasnt lost a round who gives a fuck i sure dont.

JRE says fedors opponents get paid off…i guess that would mean his sambot opponets god paid of also and Beaver you say has fedor ever beat the second rated fighter…arlowski was ranked 2nd and wasnt beat out or the UFC he won his last one do some research and FYI not every title holder fights the 2nd best because the second rated fighter isnt always in their division. Was Rashad ranked second , was forest ranked second when he fought for the title? No…quit saying you like fedor bc anyone of says they like him and dont think he is the best is a hater
by BigSmoke on May 2, 2009 4:57 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
who did he beat that is a top rated fighter Bigsmoke? The best fighter he has fought between Tim and Fedor is Werdum. I’m sorry for hurting your feelings but I’m not convinced Fedor has evolved much from the Pride days as he hasn’t tested himself against the best now days. Someone has been blowing smoke up your ass to make you believe AA is the #2 rated HW LOL. Outside of the UFC it’s clear Barnett is the # 2 guy? In the UfC AA lost to Tim 2 times then fought lower ranked guy’s before he left the best of them being Werdum that went to a decision. Cro Cop & AA would be a great now day and thats a fact.

Fedor is the best but he lost to aroryo or whatever that dudes name is. I wanna see him in the UFC. He is gonna kill Barnet
by hatteras on May 2, 2009 6:29 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I would love to see it but he gets paid to much money to take a chance in the UFC were you don’t get to choose your battles. Fedor was in Sherdog and stated….
I’m quite satisfied with the schedule that I have right now. I think for every fighter, there’s a time that you have to fight more often to win a reputation or to establish your name. Then after that, there comes a time when you have to prepare yourself more seriously for a certain fight, and you have more responsibility for each fight you have to fight. So, I’m pretty satisfied with the time schedule right now.
wich equals he’s going to fight maybe twice a year and hope his reputation stays(not lose)? Wow I feel for you Fedor fans you have a champion that is living off your hard earned money by what he has done in the past. Can’t blame the guy though I bet Cro Cop is wishing he did the same LOL.

beaver i think we all know that something happened between arlowski and dana and we both know that if big nog had never got that choke in tim silvia would still be in the UFC so….if these two things haddnt happen you would be singin a different story about them and i can guarentee you arlowski would be the champ his boxing is unbelivable for an mma fighter and his ground isnt to shaby either…..meaning your boy brock would not be the champ and probably would have never got that pathetic title shot

The facts are BS that Tim lost to both Couture and NOG before he left and Tim beat AA twice after that AA’s beat Werdum and a few lower ranked fighters. You are correct about AA having great boxing skills maybe the best even though he got caught by a overhand by Fedor he was trying to do flying knee if AA never tried the flying knee and stuck to his gameplan he might of actually won but like NOG getting Tim in a choke and Mir getting hold of a leg. As far as Brock goes he would just need to get AA down to the ground and the fight would be over, same as Mir, NOG, Couture,Gonzoga, Kongo. One fighter I would love to see him fight is Carwin!! I think Carwin would have done much the same as Fedor and one shot KO? Like I said Cro Cop and AA would be a good fight now days BS.

Best pound by pound ever. No one who have seen all his fights can deny that unless he is a hater or have no clue what MMA is.
Now he is far from his prime and he is still the best HW.
