PFC 13: 'Validation' set with four championship bouts on May 8

Palace Fighting Championships (PFC) 13: "Validation" is all set to go down at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California on Friday, May 8.
In all, four PFC world championship belts will be decided on the card, as well as a number one contender eliminator bout in the featherweight division and a featured main event middleweight showdown between former WEC light heavyweight champion Doug "The Rhino" Marshall and three time ShoXC veteran Jaime "El Cucui" Jara.
Marshall comes in riding a two fight winning streak, having taken five out of his last six. The two most recent wins both came under the PFC banner, against Phil Collins (TKO) at PFC 9 last July and against Rafael Real (TKO) at PFC 11 in November.
Jara has also won five of his last six fights, including three by submission and another by technical knockout. He dropped a unanimous decision to Leopoldo Serao during his last showing for PFC at "All In" back in November.
This is a classic clash of styles as Jara will lean on his submission skills, while The Rhino looks to turn it into a kickboxing match.
The PFC flyweight, lightweight, welterweight and middleweight titles will all be on the line in Lemoore on May 8 as well, not to mention a lightweight undercard match up involving "The Ultimate Fighter" season 5 washout Gabe Ruediger.
Check out the full lineup for PFC 13: "Validation" below:
Main Event:
Doug "The Rhino" Marshall (9-3) vs. Jaime "El Cucui" Jara (21-6)
Main Card:
145 lbs.: Casey Olson (9-2) vs. Eddie Yagin (12-3-1)

125 lbs.: Anthony Perales (3-0) vs. Pat Runez (5-0) for the vacant PFC Flyweight Title
Under Card:
155 lbs.: Darren Crisp (6-3) vs. Gabe Ruediger (11-5)
155 lbs.: Bryan Travers (11-1) vs. John Gunderson (18-6)
155 lbs.: Marcelo Guidici (8-1) vs. John Reedy (6-3)

135 lbs.: Cole Escovedo (11-4) vs. Michael McDonald (7-0)
130 lbs.: Erin Toughill (9-2-1) vs. Emily Thompson (4-0)
It should be a solid night of fights for the California based organization. Tickets are on sale now and can be had through the usual outlets.

Anyone know Forrest’s natural walk around weight? I heard from a friend at Extreme Couture that Forrest is walking at 235 right now (heard this about 3 weeks ago) To me it sounds like the hand injury has been keeping him from training and keeping his weight down. This could be a bad sign for him. It could also be normal. I don’t know what he typically cuts down from.

235-240lbs is the range i’ve always heard which is crazy but none of that will help him not get outclassed and or murdered by the spider.

I dont think the hand issue is a problem anymore. Forrest has been training for a few weeks now, and about a week ago, he switched his training and is now preparing for a south paw (Anderson).
I see Plastic surgery in Forrest’s fu8ture! Cant wait to watch the destruction of Forrest
Im really looking forward to the UFC 101 weigh ins!

That wasnt a few weeks ago it was last Thursday. Good card huh? Doug Hunt is one of my training partners and i was in his corner. He fought Kengo Ura that night and lost by rear naked choke (but beat the shit out of Ura befor he got subd).

How is guy with a 8-10 record fighting for a title? Oh right, it’s an organization that’s paying Gabe Ruediger to fight.

Funny stuff, I also laughed at Phil Collins fighting for the title. Hopefully he’ll come out to In The Air Tonight that would be funny.

Only things that have any impact on anything are the flyweight title, which by the way kinda sucks coz M16 isn’t fighting for it, and the Thoughill-Thompson fight.

M16 is a badass.. check him out on utube, Rambaa Somdat. There’s another Muay Thai Fighter, forgot his name, who is a bigger baddass than M16,, what if he was brought in here.. damn..
I was actually impressed by the arrangement by PFC last Sept, very professional. Aside for the power going out for 10mins, hahaa.. Hey I met Jimmy Lennon Jr. I’m cool now!

This is where i will hopefully be fighting at after my pro debut at Gladiator Challenge. Lemmore is like an hour and a half away from me and i go watch and corner teammates of mine at PFC shows quite often.
