Hector Lombard and others weigh in for Bellator III at Lloyd Noble Center

Bellator Fighting Championships (Bellator) is still trudging, preparing to pull the trigger on its third event in just as many weeks tomorrow night (April 17) from the Lloyd Noble Center from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma.
Fighters today tipped the scales for Bellator III, which features Cuban-born Judoka, Hector "Shango" Lombard, making his debut on United States soil against Virgil "The Mexican Machine" in one of many middleweight tournament bouts slated for the card.
Bellator will also close out the first round of the welterweight (170-pound) tournament with former UFC champion Dave Menne set to take on undefeated Frenchman, Norman Paraisy. The winner will join Omar De La Cruz, Jorge Ortiz and Lyman Good in the semifinals.

Up until this moment, I didn’t think Lombard would get cleared to fight after the million visa issues.

When he’s actually in the ring I’ll get excited, first he was supposed to fight in the UFC then EliteXC both times Visa issues ruined that.

Hopefully they will smarten up and put this on Sunday Night on ESPN2. Putting this on deportes on Saturday Night is pretty lame. I was thinking of purchasing the Spanish package just to watch because there are really good fighters. I went to the first show, I wasn’t gonna watch this over Strikeforce, and I sure as shit gonna miss Spider Silva for this. Hopefully there gets enough viewers for them to give it a shot. Still can’t believe they don’t want to fit this in with all of the bullshit they put on the ESPN networks.
